The man with the bones...the word you are looking for is Shaman.. he is a real Shaman. The ritualistic tone is a passage..., the shivers you and many others including myself feel while they perform are due to your primal being...being awoken from its slumber.. i cant 100% describe why i feel the way i do when listening to Heilung, but i know this much, Heilung release me from the traps of society and bring me back to Mother Nature and her nurturing. I've never felt so free and loved before.

The Futhorc is a runic alphabet of certain Germanic languages I the early middle ages. Notably Anglo-Saxon, but also Frissian, iirc. Kai's chant over the bones is the Anglo Saxon Rune Poem, a poem/mnemonic device for teaching and recalling the names of the runes as well as their phonetic value. Meanwhile, Maria performs a dance to imitate the rune that Kai is signing about.

Futhorc is also known as Futhark (elder and younger, used by the Nordic folk) and old English futhorc. There's a lot of commonality between Nordic futhark and english futhorc.

Hamrer hippyer, same LIFA live at Castlefest concert, is a great song also, maybe even the best of that concert.
That song will really suck you in and put you into a trance.

Both Klaus and Maria sing the same lyrics in Fylgija Ear and it appears that the language used is Old English. If someone knowledgeable in ancient languages could confirm it, I would be very grateful.
The lyrics of Fylgija Ear say the following:
The pit is horrible for all gentlemen
when the meat begins to cool rapidly
and placed in the bosom of the dark earth
    prosperity declines
    ties are severed
    joy fades
    and agreements are broken
During the ritual (Futhorck), the shaman enumerates one by one the 16 runes of the young fhutark and describes their meaning, while the woman, with the deer antlers, her arms and her body, draws them towards the 4 cardinal points.
Faith / Its literal translation would be "cattle". According to the Nordic culture, cattle were related to wealth, although they are also related to nature and fertility.
Ur / Rune of transformation, of changes that require strength and decision, closely linked to the transition from childhood to adulthood.
Thurs / Like the Uruz rune, it represents change, but in this case through pain.
Oss / Represents an old man with a leaning figure, it is a symbol of communication and knowledge.
Reidh / Represents the search for new paths and routes not previously explored, and the transformation that oneself undergoes during the journey, inviting inner reflection.
Kaun / It is the guiding light, a light that leads us along the path and allows us to see things with greater perspective.
Hagall / Contrary to the previous ones, this is a negative rune. It is linked to adversities along the way and important losses.
Naudhr-naud / This rune is linked to one's limitations and how one can survive with them.
Is-iss / Is associated with caution and patience.
Ár / One of the few runes found only in the Younger Futhark alphabet.
Sun / Its lightning form is associated with the power that, depending on its use, can cause destruction or "melt the ice" of the Is rune.
Tyr / Its arrow or spear shape represents the values of the warrior, courage, effort and conquest.
Bjarkan / Represents motherhood as a symbol of protection and care.
Madhr-madr / Inner discovery ignoring pride and focusing only on the life path.
Logr-lögr / Associated with the attributes of water such as the depth of the unconscious and the ability to flow guided by intuition.
Yr / Its shape represents a shield as this is a protection rune during battle, but also from home.
    A hug.

His chant in the beginning is modern German. It's not lyrics in a strict sense. He just says words which create a certain picture in your mind. Like so: Darkness, Betrayal, Corruption, Distrust...

@@schlafesbruder7625 no, it is a little deeper than that,it is from an angelsaxon poem.
The oldest known written piece of that sort as far as i remember. You are wrong, it is not just "modern" words there's alot of proto germanic in there, it plays directly into the concept.

Yes, it is a Ritual, they proudly announced that they couldn't wait to perform these rituals across America. Their name means "Healing" in German. Take 5 grams of shrooms, use a set of headphones, rock Heilung and Wardruna and you will be healed brother. I go to "Church" once a month sometimes I'll stretch it out to three but I go harder then lol 😂😆

Remember, that we all are brothers
All people, beasts, trees and stone and wind
We all descend from the one great being
    That was always there
Before people lived and named it
    Before the first seed sprouted

Finally, someone reviews this song. I love using this one in particular for meditation. I can distinctly remember listening to this song while reading about "The Wild Hunt"...I literally lost about 15 minutes until my friend came and tapped me on the shoulder, snapping me out of some deep trance.

I have been to a concert with them a couple of times when they have been in Denmark. Their concerts are like being part of a prehistoric ritual. It's not just music, it's a total performance like you talk about 🙂For my birthday, I got a lamp like the one they use on stage; they are handmade according to historical findings.

Futhorc is for Anglo Saxon (i.e., Old English) Futhark (Younger) is for Old Norse, and Futhark (Elder) is for Proto Norse. They are named for the first few letters in their sequence. Anglo-Saxon diverged from Proto / Old Norse when it came to Britain and was isolated.

@@pallechristoffersen3180 yes. Fuþark and Fuþorc are different, but related alphabets. Used to write different, but related languages. The spelling of the title of the song gives away which language they are singing in, and therefore which alphabet they are using. Norupo is the Younger Fuþark version of that part of this song.😁

This is the best of Heilung, today they are getting too commercial the rituals are getting too theatrical they now have a bunch of dancing women and more extraneous stuff going on
Watch the recent performance at Red Rock and it isn't as raw as this first performance was, much like the bands who started out raw and they got more known and made more money they lost what they had originally, a good example is U2
I went to see them a couple of years ago and even then I could see the changes I like the original Heilung
