This video shows you how to install a new TRQ blower motor resistor yourself in your 1999-2006 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. The heat and air condition fan is controlled by a separate module, called the blower motor resistor. The nature of this component’s job causes it to heat up frequently, which can lead to failure. If your vents will only blow one speed, this is likely the cause. TRQ has a new resistor module made specifically for your vehicle.
This process should be similar on the following vehicles:

My high speed or number five wouldn't work so i replaced this resister and it still wont do anything any idea what else it could be
Anyone doing this, check your HVAC and blower fuses if your replacement doesn't work. Ex. Front HVAC 30.

Im wondering why the resistor you took out looks completely different than the one that came out of mine. Mine looks like an actual computer chip.
01 1500hd is not the same ìf anyone has info on the one I'm talking about that would be awesome. Has purple wire and the aluminum cone things instead of green microchip chip thing. Also has purple wire instead of red. They are $151 at parts stores and none exist there apparently ever. Not sure what to do.
