Most amazing band ever, still my favorite band. Everything they did was a masterpiece, especially Mongrel, and they will always continue to be an inspiration. Even in making electronic music, the sheer progressive beauty of this band is obvious in anything I ever produced. I will ALWAYS love this band
@@Branchofsin Dude worded that so confusingly, i know. He is saying that he makes electronic music yet the influence of the band is prevalent in anything he ever produced.
lol i was at this show. 12/15/07 so good. i remember tickets were only 5 dollars because they wanted people to come for the DVD shooting. im probably in the video somewhere =) met all the guys after the show to. it truly was a great show.
LOL I love how Jon is just sitting there smiling, he's playing all of this crazy shit and he's just like "YAY!" He must know that magic is happening...
i know the band is on a very nice phase right now, but imo this is their peak creativity, mongrel, nuclear sad nuclear and worse than alone are absolute classics
im so amazed that they are playing this live without a single misstep. they make it look so easy, and it makes me never want to touch an instrument again.
I had the honor of playing with both The Number Twelve Looks Like You and In the Face of War in Wausau, Wisconsin a few years back, and I told Jon the only drummer that is happier than he is is Akira Jimbo. I felt so bitchin that I got a giggle out of him, especially since I am a drummer too. We drove three hours to play twenty minutes as the first band, heh.
their lives came together when they danced in the street its really unexpected how some people meet one's lying in the street, the other sits in a back seat and another relationship is then complete 12
some people are saying their vocals are disappointing. i'm actually very satisfied with their live vocals. i'm glad to see that they are one of the few bands that can play thier songs perfectly. (i miss them...soooo much). however, i feel that live performances are better with a little rawness to the vocals. i don't like it when somethings sounds EXACTLY like the album. but..that is just me :)
during the second section of the intro, Jon's (the drummer) look on his face is priceless. He's playing with ease, smiling like nothing is going on. He's barely trying yet doing so well
Jase witnessed the aftermath of a hobo who got hit by someone. The lyrics are in reference to what happened (the bum took a step backwards when crossing the street and the car swerved into him somehow when trying to avoid him, which resulted in the song name) and the aftermath of what he saw.
i just saw these guys live with Protest The Hero sunday in worcester.there was only a drummer, guitarist, bass player and 1 singer.whered the rest go? haha but they were insane.love this band
I'm doing everything in my power to make the next number 12. we're working as hard as we can everyday. its so hard, but we wanna do it so bad. they're the best in the world and we wanna be there with em
DO you happen to have the video of them playing Grandfather live also? Its on the same DVD but it doesn't seem anyone has uploaded it anywhere. I'm dying to see them play that song live but its impossible to find anywhere.
@ipudding100 Have you ever listened to Between the Buried and me? I recommend you do, the only person I know who can growl, scream and sing with the best of them. Not to mention the rest of the band is also phenomenal.
This was so badass! I can't believe they broke up I wish I could have seen em before the happened... Does anybody know why they broke up in the first place?
@xKinseh Yeah, that's fair enough. But do you realise how difficult it is to balance out the two? I doubt there's many people who could do a better job, when you think about it...

He makes playing some of the most complicated rhythms look effortless. Check out his Vic Firth drum clinic from ages ago if you get the chance
an end of an era. Holy shit what a perfect band.
i know the band is on a very nice phase right now, but imo this is their peak creativity, mongrel, nuclear sad nuclear and worse than alone are absolute classics
This shit never gets old! Greetings from Juarez Mexico 🇲🇽
Who's here in 2022?

This is the best of post-hard core, with a lot of math-Rock.
+HxC_Fragman Hype ikr. I was 15 ( 30 now) when I found them lol. still great.
Yea it's unfortunate so many young ppl don't know about this great era, I'm 28, good times.
Still listen to this song regularly. Love it.
I cant believe i never got to see them live....

Jon Karel also drummed for Horse the Band on their world tour
Negative Hate, Sawtooth Grin.. and, they're back at it!
during the second section of the intro, Jon's (the drummer) look on his face is priceless. He's playing with ease, smiling like nothing is going on. He's barely trying yet doing so well

Yes.
I RESPECT THIS BAND PEACE FROM PHILIPPINES!
yeah they're freakin nuts.
the start of the song is possibly the most energetic intro i've ever heard
Only got to see them once, but it was amazing.
I want to cry. I love them.
but they like it, which is what matters. So if they're satisfied, there's no need to change anything.
:( R.I.P.
I would do anything to have these guys tour again...

I'm doing everything in my power to make the next number 12. we're working as hard as we can everyday. its so hard, but we wanna do it so bad. they're the best in the world and we wanna be there with em
I love how Jon looks happy almost all the time.

DO you happen to have the video of them playing Grandfather live also? Its on the same DVD but it doesn't seem anyone has uploaded it anywhere. I'm dying to see them play that song live but its impossible to find anywhere.
It's in standard E. Standard B if you are looking to play the 7 string parts.

I laughed out loud with the "later that night i made hot sweet love to his signature."
@ipudding100 Have you ever listened to Between the Buried and me? I recommend you do, the only person I know who can growl, scream and sing with the best of them. Not to mention the rest of the band is also phenomenal.

Odd question, any of you know where I can buy that sunglasses tshirt?
I've been wondering that for years.
Pretty sure its a Brokencyde shirt.
Really! what new band is that
anyone know if justin will be playing @ the farewell tour?
@tomthunda123 That's sad man...kind of ironic because this song is about a car accident (different than yours, a homeless man being hit by a car)
is this the only video on the dvd?
same here! especially the riff starting at 2:57
@leoti420 no it's sadly like the most popular thing right now.
@AphoticAgony thats jon karel for you =]
best drummer ever \imo/
This song was awesome up until 1:45. They should have stuck with the melody they had starting at 1:16.
Fml I never got to see the number 12 live
I heard they're working on a new album may still be a chance
They are. They just finished a tour with AGATG too...
@@Incubus4r4sooo.....
