There's no greater shortcut to making an epic Screamo song than having it end with multiple people screaming the last line repeatedly while the music dies down. It works every time.
One of their best songs. Can’t believe we found each other again 🖤. I remember I had this really cool shirt from this band back in High School in 2006.
I remember getting into this band in my adolescence, heard "grandfather" on MTV 2 and binged their catalogue. I really felt, and still do feel like they were one of few bands that I witnessed hone their craft and got better and better with every release. I also remember seeing their farewell show around that time too, and was so jealous that I was watching it on UA-cam and not there for the show it looked like so much fun. But I'm glad they come out of hiding every couple of years and still drop good music.
The ending is also a judicious use of my absolute favorite Screamo trope, ending a song with multiple vocalists screaming the last line repeatedly while the music dies down. That's a pure Skramz move.
Google seems to believe it's a misspelling of Serapis, Greco-Egyptian Sun God. No idea if that's what The Number 12 were going for, but it's something.
anyone who digs #12 is my type of person love yall

isnt its a mathcore?
@@bluntscuff The Number 12 are more of a Mathcore band overall, but this track in particular belies a very heavy Screamo influence.
@@drpibisback7680 from what i've heard the band itself is a fusion of mathcore and screamo
@@bluntscuffso why make a counter argument if they were already half right??

Was it the colorful 1 with slanted letters? I have a picture of me in it wasted 18 years old at army school
No it was the light blue one with the graphics on the lower right side by your hip

"The river holds the color you describe as love" Such an unforgettable lyric.
The intro has some serious late-90's, early 2000's skramz feel to it.
the song is from 2003!
In the vein of love lost but not forgotten

such an incredible track, and the transition from empty calm is one of the best.

Just curious, i want to know how people interpret the meanings of the lyrics for not just this song, but the whole album.
