    Thank you very much for breaking this down in a way that's easy to understand. We were originally planning our first WDW trip for Spring Break in 2020, but the whole COVID thing happened and we've kept pushing our SOG reservations back to the following Christmas, then the next Spring Break, and so on, and it was torturous for our daughter. We've decided that we are going soon, and the last thing we have to do is buy our WDW tickets. Thanks again for the thorough explanation, and it looks like the Military Salute tickets will be the best choice for us, too! Cheers from Birmingham, AL.

    If we are going around the time for Christmas- are the water parks worth it?

    • @battlegroundbiscuits
      @battlegroundbiscuits  5 місяців тому

      Personally, I wouldn’t go to a water park around Christmas because there is SO much to do at the parks that’s exclusive to the holidays that I wouldn’t want to miss out on that. BUT if you’re someone that LOVES water parks or you have kids that are begging to swim for Christmas I wouldn’t say no 😂 The temps will most likely be fine for swimming still. It’s really up to you on how much you want to be there. But for me, I love being in the theme parks more at that time of year.

    • @battlegroundbiscuits
      @battlegroundbiscuits  10 місяців тому

      Its a LOT of information to take in for anyone so I understand completely. It would be really difficult for me to tell you what your best option is without knowing all of the details that you're looking for and when you are visiting. But I'll try to offer my suggestions to get you started...once you've verified your eligibility for military tickets you can select from Promotional tickets (which are the most heavily discounted - BUT are all park hopper tickets) OR you can choose the Magic Your Way tickets which will save you a little, just not as much as the promotional ones. With the MYW tickets you can select base tickets that don't have the park hopper included BUT honestly it will cost you more than the promotional tickets that have it included. For 4 day Promotional tickets with park hopper included it would cost $365 per family member ( so X3 is $1095) For 4 day Magic Your Way tickets withOUT the park hopper it would be $454 per family member (so X3 is $1362) Either way, its still less than buying through Disney directly but it just depends what you're looking for. Remember, there are block out dates with the Promotional tickets where you won't be able to use them (24 March 2024 through 06 April 2024 as well as 24 November- 30 November 2024...and then they expire after December 20 of this year) If your trip is during those dates I would suggest using the MYW tickets that don't have block out dates. MYW tickets are good until 2025 so if you have to cancel your trip you can keep them until you reschedule. But as soon as you scan in with those tickets on your first park day you will have 14 days to use ALL remaining days before they expire)
      As I said, LOTS of information...there are SO many factors to consider such as time of year visitin, age of children, etc...But hopefully that gives you an idea of where to begin your first steps in planning!

      @battlegroundbiscuits  Рік тому

      You're welcome!
      So, the process can vary depending on time of year but its relatively quick. Typically you'll send in your ticket request form and get a call within 1-2 days. We have had call backs as soon as a few hours after we sent our form before but during busier seasons it might be a week before you hear from them. In any case they will send you an email letting you know they received your form and to expect a call from them to verify your eligibility and take your payment. Once you get the call and complete the transaction over the phone they will send your hard tickets to you through Fedex. That usually takes 2-3 days given weekends or holidays. If you're booking something last minute I would suggest requesting an express call back (they'll charge an extra $20 for that service). You will just type "EXPRESS" in the subject line of your email when you submit your ticket form. They will call you back same day. Sometimes that helps if you're in a situation where you need to book your park reservations ASAP or you're leaving home sooner than the tickets would arrive, etc.
      Oh geez...who said corpse? Was it me or Tim lol I'll speak for both of us when I say that we know better. Maybe it was a "mouth was quicker than the brain" kind of thing. Either way, thank you for pointing it out as a reminder to pay attention. I'm sure for someone in the Marines its annoying to hear people say that (and I bet it happens often).
      This is a long response lol But THANK YOU, Nicole for watching and commenting!

    Hello. I have questions regarding the Military Magic Your Way tickets. I am planning on getting the 4Day Base Tickets (currently priced at $450). My questions are:
    1. With 4 parks, am I limited to one different park each day? In other words, can I visit Magic Kingdom for 2 days out of the 4, instead of having to visit each four park? Unlike like the current Disney World promotion “4-Day 4-Park Magic Ticket” where that is not an option.
    3. Is the ticket activated upon getting it?
    Thank you for your time.

    • @battlegroundbiscuits
      @battlegroundbiscuits  Рік тому +1

      The Military Magic your Way tickets can be used interchangeably so you can use them for magic kingdom however many times you want, or Epcot however many times you want. Hope I'm explaining that ok! It is different than the Disney promotional "4 day 4 park ticket" I will add that with these military MYW tickets you will still need to make park reservations for each day (unlike the Disney promotional tickets that you don't need reservations for).
      The tickets are already activated when you purchase them through shades of green. The only time you would need to activate a ticket is if you purchase them on base from your ITT or MWR office. Anything bought through SOG can be used right away without further activation.
      Hope this helps!! Thank you for watching!

    • @battlegroundbiscuits
      @battlegroundbiscuits  Рік тому

      @@mariamatias8954 you’re so welcome! Activation is simple but I’ll say that a lot of people like to get it done and taken care of first thing (so maybe the day you arrive in town) you can take a little cruise over to any guest relations ticket window (there’s one at the TTC or in front of the gates at Magic Kingdom…OR you can visit Disney Springs and get it taken care of there before or after dinner if you’d like) Doing it early just means saving time on your actual park days and it’s one less line to stand in later. That’s what we have always done and it’s quick and painless 😁

    Do you think the water park is worth it for first timers coming in the winter? We are trying for Disney world the week after thanksgiving, unfortunately that’s the only time we are able to after a deployment, hopefully it is a decent time to go.

    • @battlegroundbiscuits
      @battlegroundbiscuits  Рік тому

      It’s hard to say to anyone if something is worth it because that opinion can be so subjective. As of right now Blizzard beach is the only Disney water park open but I definitely think it will be less crowded going at the end of the year vs the summer so you would have low crowds in your favor. BUT as first timers going to Disney around Christmas time I truly think there will be SO much inside the parks you’ll want to see and do that you may not want to break away to go to a water park. But again, that’s all dependent upon what your family loves to do. Also, don’t underestimate the pools and splash pads at the resorts (even the ones at Shades of green IF you’re staying there). Our 4 year old is obsessed with them and it’s great for a break for us from the parks and the constant “go go go”. Hope that gives you some insight!

    • @battlegroundbiscuits
      @battlegroundbiscuits  Рік тому

      @@kimmiegiggler so it kind of depends…everything about planning Disney is relative to what you like, if you’re bringing kids, etc. But I’ll say for us we usually like to have one full day at MK, and one full day at Epcot (that’s the most walking and probably most ground to cover) As for Animal kingdom and Hollywood Studios, we like to combine those in a day (animals in the morning, Hollywood afternoon/evening) But we have our 4 year old and aren’t huge on Star Wars. As far as what order of parks…that also depends on what kind of reservations we are able to snag. If there’s one place we want to eat, say Cinderella’s Royal Table, I’ll wait until I secure that reservation THEN make MK park reservations for that day and build the rest of the trip around it. In general, if we are just going to Disney casually with no intentions, I like to start with MK and end with MK. The last day might just be a few hours at the end of the night after park hopping but there’s something about ending a Disney trip with the fireworks behind the castle 😍
