Your kids/grandkids would be sponsored guests so they would need their state issued Ids(drivers license is fine). When you’re all checked in each of the adults on the reservation will receive a paper resort ID. You’ll need to show your paper resort Id and government ID to ride the bus to the parks and back 😁 As for airport shuttles, there aren’t any that go from the airport to the resort. But many people use 3rd party services like UBER or LYFT. There are also transportation companies like MEARS that you can look into. Just google airport transportation to Shades of Green and you’ll find several options to research what’s best for you. I hope that helps!

Everglazed! They are so good! Completely agree! And I can’t say we’ve had the banana chocolate chip cookie yet…we will have to look for that one. I do love the pistachio toffee one though…I really like that they are generous with the sea salt flakes bc it really balances out the sweetness. We do love Gideons! And I hadn’t thought about the cheese puffs being Brazilian but now that you say that I think you’re right!

It’s wild how consistent the long lines are at Gideons! I thought they would eventually die down but they haven’t. If you’re able to get there, they have another location at the east end market. You can even order your cookies online and just go pick them up without having to wait. Something to think about if you consider getting them again and don’t want to bother with Disney Springs 😊

If you’re wanting the salute (or “promotional”) tickets they usually become available in November. We have to wait for Disney to announce them officially and it’s usually around Veterans Day give or take a week or so. So for March 2025 you just need to wait until then 😎

I just returned from a trip to Disney with my wife who is visually impaired. We had a similar apathy assault from the Disney employees. It also crushed us. Medical professionals are NOT disability or accessibility professionals. Some medical doctors (though not all) can diagnose visual impairment, but they may know nothing about the social model of disability or what disability needs are required by specific individuals. I am a disability researcher, and this system reminds me of an approach from the 20th century. We were shocked when we encountered this approach. We were regularly insulted and disturbed during our time at the parks. I had young ride operators telling my wife and I how we should approach visual impairment. Really, Disney?

If they told you it expired June 30, it expires on June 30th

If it works like Disney world then your pass will be good until June 30th because you got your pass before the change began. That’s what happened with ours when we got it April 26th. The change here began May 20th but our pass was good until May 26th.

I understand that completely...we typically avoid heightened situations for those reasons as well. Some of the obvious times to avoid would be holidays like Christmas, New Years day, Thanksgiving, Spring break time (usually April). Its usually always busy now at Disney but there have been random days where the crowds are less. I would say your best best would be around late August or September when kids go back to school. This is also the peak of hurricane season so the weather tends to be exceptionally rainy. If you can deal with that then I would plan for this time of year. Aside from times of year I would pay attention to times of day and know the showtimes at each park. If you know there is going to be a parade at a certain time avoid main street. If theres a firework show happening at 8 then try to hit the big rides when most people are congregating around the castle. Basically do the opposite of what the schedule says. Get there first thing in the morning to do a few rides, leave for the afternoon, then return in the evening and stay as late as possible when a lot of people will be heading back to their hotels. If you can budget for the after hours events you may consider getting those tickets when attendance is significantly less. There are lots of ways to combat the crowds. Sometimes it is unavoidable, admittedly. But, if you familiarize yourself with the park you're going to and have an exit strategy it is definitely manageable. Thank you for that insight, makes me feel a bit more comfortable about trying to plan a trip there. My wife is a huge Disney fan, and I know she would be over the moon if I said we were going.

Its new and is said to run every night until September 2. After that we aren't sure if they will continue or introduce new shows but we will watch for any updates :)
