Good advices. Okay let me summarize it,
    Things to do:
    1. Start a conversation with conversation sparkers.
    2. Finding the sweet spot, the social zone, where people exit the bar.
    3. Angle in our body to the person we are talking to if we don't want our conversation to be interrupted by someone else.
    4. Stand with an eyeline of the host
    Things not to do:
    1. Hovering at the boundary of the start zone.
    2. Lingering near the bathroom.
    3. Floating around the food table.
    4. Faking your smile.
Feel free to add in if I have missed out any points, cheers.

Farting in room full of people would make me memorable. Focus should be on making good impression.
