  • 1984 Airstream 310 Motorhome Walkthrough - June 2020
We take viewers through our home for the last 2 years, our 1984 Airstream Motorhome. We have put a lot of work into XiO and she has proven to be extremely reliable and the perfect place for our family to explore 10 states, 2 provinces and 17 world-class ski resorts.

    The Wild’s Life
one family on an EPIC journey otherwise known as LIFE
We made a decision several years ago to change the way we move through LIFE. We set the intention of living a LIFE full of travel, exploration, learning, adventure, simplicity, and connection with other like-minded people.
We’ve lived a good life, but craved something… different. We wanted to expose our Wild Boyz, 11-year-old Dexter, and 12-year-old Maximus to… more.
More experiences, more people, more adventure, more good food, more art, more family, more connection, more LIFE!
We sold our house. We sold our business. We bought an Airstream.
    Then we bought another Airstream.
We simplified our lives only to add more… complexity. But, it was a different kind of complexity. It was an adventure in learning, overcoming obstacles, creating solutions, and working together.
In the end, we had two homes on wheels. XiO, our 1984 Airstream 310 Unlimited MoHo (motorhome) and Prana, our 1978 Airstream Sovereign trailer.
You are probably asking, why does one family need two Airstreams? We wanted to embark on a ski adventure. Travelling with a truck and trailer on steep mountain roads in the winter is not practical. I have always loved the form factor of the Airstream motorhome. The MoHo, XiO, would serve as our winter home and our trailer, Prana, as our summer home.
We want to continue producing videos. We have hundreds of hours of footage from the last four years. It includes the detailed documentation of the restoration and renovation of our vintage Airstream trailer, our winter ski tour through 10 states, 2 provinces and 17 world-class ski resorts, our 19-mile hike to the summit of Half Dome in Yosemite; and… more, much more.
In order to compile, edit and publish these videos, we need time. Through your support as one of our Subscribers on UA-cam, Followers on Facebook, or Supporters at Patreon, we will be able to devote time to the creation of more content for you to watch. If you enjoy our videos on the Wild’s Life or Wilds of MINECRAFT channel, we would be grateful for your support. Thanks and have a beautiful day, don’t let it getaway.

the Wild's Life No, due to COVID-19, I couldn't see it before. My friend also has an Airstream 280 or 290 and I thought it was so great that we looked for one in the USA. I then only saw six pictures and bought it. It's a 310 1981 turbodiesel with only 29,009 miles. The front tires are still the first with a production date of 48th week 1981. A stroke of luck! In your video I was able to see what an RV looks like for the first time. That made the long waiting time sweeter. I had it picked up in Georgia and then it went to Germany, taking the ship with me. I tried to go home here, but only got 10 miles. The brake was tight and the driver was short. Now the restoration has started and we are currently removing everything inside. Thanks to your video, I have a few ideas for the conversion. for example, I will recreate the hidden television. The sofa bed will be wider because I have three sons. I will also build the back bed as you show in the video.

I love these old Airstream motorhomes, like the 1977 Argosy before this and the rest of the 300 Series from the 1980s. They are not a great investment for restoration. It really is a labor of love for the aesthetics and history that is Airstream. I hope you get many years of happy memories from this camper. It really is a work of art.

We have an ‘83 we are currently working on, looks almost identical except for the dash. Was the sofa hard to replace with that bed? It looks like a good idea. We have the two twin beds in the back, might replace those with one large bed as well. Not sure yet!

Veronica Castro She handles very well. We have put 19000 miles on over two years. Steep hills, we drove from Salt Lake City up to Alta Ski Resort in a blizzard. No issues. 9 miles to the gallon, great mileage for a house.

We have spent over $30,000 on mechanical.

    • @theWildsLife
      @theWildsLife  3 роки тому

But, once they are running well, they are very reliable. The problem is people let these units sit for year's without using them. No maintenance was done and then they would be driven and mechanical items would deteriorate quickly.
