This is a FULL TOUR of The CUTEST LITTLE Vintage Class A Motor Home RV, the Size of Class B Camper Van.
Airstream built the Argosy line of motor homes form 1974 to 1979 and they are a true American classic. This 20' RV is small but very cute and sometime they get confused with the GMC motorhomes or a class b camper van. In this video Patrick gives a full walk through tour with mentions of the Airstream history with these motorhomes featuring funeral coaches and NASA Astro van.

Check out the seller of this 1975 Airstream Argosy on Instagram instagram.com/cardiffca/ really cool stuff.
It must be sold...no sign of it... :(
Is this still for sale? Where can I get info on buying this?
@@thomasgage5777 is the rig still for sale? How much is it listed for? I don't do Facebook or Instagram. I couldn't find it elsewhere.
Is this unit from Oklahoma?
I seen it there
Q
With so many folks downsizing and living full time RV, it's the perfect time for Airstream to re-introduce the smaller Class A. I would love to have one. Perfect size for one old woman and her dog.
Thank you for checking this one out
Yes, Vicky...I'm 89 and fascinated. What a great adventure for "the last one!"
*Recliner Babe"
Sadly, smaller RVs are not cheaper RVs. You can get a decent amount of ~5 meter long RV here in germany, but they cost a fortune and are far from a bargain compaired to a 6 or 7 meter one. We were looking for an Oasi 540 and the range from 55.000 to 70.0000€, which is just ridiculus for a two-person-rv.
@@ReclinerBabe Are you still alive old lady?

Had one of those back in the day. Loved it. Wish they still made them.
Even though I'm 81 I would buy another one.
Blessings
The things we could have kept, if we only knew.
YOUR NOT ALONE
Man the stories you must have
The Argosys were built in my hometown Versailles Ohio. Had many friends that worked there.
Oh wow, cool
I’ve got a 74 Argosy from Versailles! Great vintage interior still. A ‘73 Sovereign from California too. Would be awesome the meet someone who built them.
So you had 3 friends?
No just two.
We could tell that you were really excited to tour this! This thing is pure awesome.
Yes, been waiting a long time to tour one of these
@@NewJerseyOutdoorAdventures We SHARE your excitement 🎊🎉 & we're IMPRESSED by your knowledge.💡 Thx a bunch for the HISTORY lesson!
I hope this sweetheart of a classic, finds a LOVING worthy new owner who with RESTORE it to its original glory and NOT RENOVATE it to CURRENT decor.
God Bless!💙
Thank you, for such a great demo! Those rigs made into hearses were definitely unique. Back in the mid-70s, when the GMC Class 'A' was around, a company named Hess & Eisenhardt, custom-built an ambulance, which was designed for long transports, in comfort.
This thing is a GEM! Really cool lines on this cute little blimp! Plus a 350 Chevy and TH400 doesn't disappoint....
Thank you for checking this one out Frank
Thanks for showing this MH! I have always loved these! A fellow WBCCI friend of mine had one of these - It was quite the party mobile! Loved it! Later, someone else in our chapter bought a 20' Airstream version with the rear twins. Both were great!!! We had a 345 that we adored. We have an Interstate now and love it also (bought in NJ - wink), but I still miss the 345! Loved driving and hanging out in the 345 and love the 20 footers! That dinette is wicked cool!
Thank you Katy. WBCCI #75 Patrick
Thanks Patrick. WBCCI #5939
Supper funky, love the dual pass. Chair, My short lil Winnie brave had a awesome dual pass. seat..
Glad you enjoyed it
A little gentle on opening or closing things in there please
You will rarely find a spare part if you broke something
And that's a piece of history that you touch
Sorry 😞
Yep freaked me out how rough he was with someone else's vintage motorhome and I doubt the owner would be pleased 🧐 probably going over the video with their attorney 🤣 no really 😟
Agree, this bozo shouldn’t be let near anything old. What a jerk.
Just Wow!! the workmanship and style and charm of this vehicle is outstanding. Really appreciate your hard work in covering this and going through each and every detail. I am really happy watching this. Any modern camping van is no match to the quality, style and detail on this one. Really look forward for more of classic builds.
Thank you for checking this out
That is awesome, didn't know they had a 20 footer.. perfect
I love that model
I couldn't find it on Ebay... probably my fault as I was excited.
Wow Patrick, what an awesome tour. Very though. If I were younger, I'd be buying this baby! Thanks so much.
Glad you enjoyed the tour
Awesome! Wish they were back in production, it’s the perfect size.
It really is
I agree!!!
I COULD LIVE IN IT NO PROBLEM
Yes, perfect size for me to do solo full timing. I wish these were in production again too.
I think I'm in love. 😍
This beauty is _gorgeously_ designed, and that multi-fold table blew me away. I adore this little darling.
Woowwww 😱 I would have been as excited as you to tour this rig in such good condition!! I can smell the nicotine and the powdered Tang oj just looking at that orange shag carpet 😛
I wonder how much it sold for, the lucky buyer got himself a rare piece of history! 🤗 thank you for the detailed tour 🤗
Edit: the very next day after watching this video, I spotted another Argosy downtown Vancouver on Hastings street! 😱 since you said there’s only 200, what are the odds?? It was white with blue lines and a tad beat up, but clearly driveable, with a cool-looking older hippie gent with grey long hair driving it 😎
I have a ‘77 28ft argosy and one of my favorite feature is the vista windows above the sofa/dinette. One of many neat things.
this is a PERFECT size.
It really is.
Did he say how much he wanted ? I absolutely love it 😀
This was sold in the 20’s
What a great piece of Americana history.
Yes, agreed
I've heard of Airstream Argosy. I've never seen an Argosy motorhome. I've seen pics of them, and I've seen one on UA-cam. But for some reason, never in person.
Did you enjoy the tour ?
That is a cool set up . Only missing is some boho decorations .
Thank you 🙏🏼
This, is a great video breakdown that you did! I, didn’t even know this was out there! It looks more practical and bigger than todays RV’s🤞🎉💪
Glad you enjoyed it
Airstreams are always rated the best not suprised of the quality of the motorhome
Very cool.
Only thing missing is a mirror ball.
Love it!
Now you are talking.
Great video! Thanks for the tour. Very interesting to see one of these and compare to our GMC.
Thank you 🙏🏼
I had a 69 Argosy and that vent fan is better than any maxxair fan made today on the low setting it would ventilate that whole trailer
Good information
Very cool! Nice piece of history. Would be cool to restore it to its original glory. The first upgrade would be new shaggy carpet.
Thank you Glen
Yes ..I enjoyed this video ...such history...and it's good to see something like this in such goood condition ....looks like something you would own LOL!! ....Thank you Patrick...
Thank you so much
It's like a time machine!
It sure is
Great tour of the RV. What a blast from the past.
Thanks for checking this one out
Nice! That's one cool airstream👍 liked your thorough detailed walk through of the RV great description! 🙌👍
Thank you Victor
Beautiful rig…. I just found a 1976 Winnebago Brave 21ft class A…. They even made a 19ft model
One badass ! Clean!
Yes, it was
That bathroom vent is in the optimal position.
True
Very well done. That's a really nice rig and would compete with any modern class B with a lot of added width.
Thank you 😊
Thanks Patrick, this was totally cool!
Thank you Kathy
Do you remember how much it finally sold for by chance? Just found your channel and enjoying the videos immensely.
Glad you enjoyed it. It sold in the mid 20’d
@@NewJerseyOutdoorAdventures thanks! Probably not a bad price considering the quality and ease of use to repair and maintain.
It's so cool! Thank you for posting this!
Thank you for checking in
That microwave oven is one that's designed for a tiny very small place
And it sips electricity
I like it

They are pretty cool 😎
Awesomeness level 999
This is a beauty! Thank you for sharing!

Very cool, thanks!
Thanks 🙏🏼
Patrick that is a creampuff. My 1972 Argosy 26 travel trailer is gaining steam I need an entry door ? Any suggestions. GREAT WALK THROUGH VIDEO you are the best. As soon as I wish it was 10 minutes I’m glad it isn’t
ROCK ON......thank you
Thank you for checking this out. Every once in a while I see entry doors on eBay
I found the auction for this airstream on Ebay, it sold for $28,000.00
Good info
Somebody sold a 1977 airstream argosy on ebay for $1,000 (yes, one thousand) or best offer. It looks to be in decent condition. Its been parked in Nevada for 6 or 7 years. Someone got a good deal!
Years ago I thought 70s RVs looked super dorky/ ugly and that 80s & 90s RVs looked way better. Now I think the opposite & love the. 70S ones
What a beast, very cool little coach
Thank you Karen
I've watched a few of your van tours, I can tell you want this one! Great tour! Vintage!
Glad you enjoyed it!
That's the one I'm looking at a guy. Has a 1976 bicentennial version of the GMC motor home. You just flashed by. And it's in my price range I just feel like I can't pass it by. All the material is original and looks almost brand new like it's never been used
Go for it
What happened to your shorts series? I really loved those and the were really fun to watch a well. Maybe you can put more vids like, "Brief walkthrough with your Solar Setup". Anyways this was just a suggestion hope you consider it!
The 60 second shorts are on the shelf into UA-cam offers it in a different feed in the USA other thank the main video feed
It's beautiful.
Awesome!
Thank you for sharing!

Thank you 😊
Is this the base for the vehicle that they used in Twister for one of the chase cars for Jonas's team? Lol. It just looks remarkably similar to it in size and stature... At least from what I remember of it.
Anyone else think he sounds like Ray Romano selling campers?!!!😄😄😄😊
Hear it a lot
Fun to watch. Thanks
Cool motorhome! Is Patrick related to Ray Romano 🙂
Thank you for checking in Gary. No
Thanks you made me an export 👍
Thank you
Patrick - you should buy!
I have too man.
GREAT video
Thank you 🙏🏼
That layout is like my 89 Toyota Dolphin. I just bought it 2 weeks ago. Engine and interior were rebuilt in 2006. It’s still dated because 2006 was a long time ago. I like this one a little better. That is nice, growing up and graduating years were the 70s. I think the 70s is really an ugly decade, but I do like this, go figure. I could look past it with this.
Great camper, thanks for sharing. I can't help but think you're being a bit heavy-handed with some very old fixtures and fittings though. I was wincing at some points!
Really enjoyed the video very informative
Thank you so much

Sweet!
It's the em50.....urban assault vehicle.....go watch the film stripes
Love this camper amazing shape
Fantastic!!!
Thank you 🙏🏼
What a shame that the camera person camera view zoomed in too much at what the host showed. But, it would have been best if the camera person would show the closeups of things being focused on then step back a few feet so that we could see a bigger area of what was not shown on camera. It seems the camera views are too closeup most of the time. What a shame.
Cool..
Thank you Bette
Love this ❤️❤️❤️
Thank you Linda
Great old camper. Your voice is very much like Ray Romano of Everybody Loves Raymond.
Thanks for checking in.
So cool
Thanks much.
Groovy
Thank you.
Everybody DOES love Raymond.
True
To be honest, that may need an overhaul update to be in code. That’s a bit of an if for the person.
Safety first
Very interesting video! This RV looks exactly like an RV in a romantic-comedy movie called "Two weeks Notice" with Sandra Bollock and Hugh Grant. Half way through the movie they are stuck in a traffic jam on the Freeway. They pay a couple to use the onboard bathroom. Check it out.
Oh wow, I will have to look that one up.
Does an Airstream camper Arrow Lake are they Better Built than the other campers cuz it got a county at Roundtop but they're bill out Lumen are they better about not leaking or they all about the same
It's been a year since you have aired this video. Did it sale? If not, then what's the asking price?
Thank you for checking this out Nancy. It had been sold when I did the video. I think it went for over 20k on eBay
are you referring to the portable tiny tv set, as a stereo? lol
It’s something I haven’t seen before
@@NewJerseyOutdoorAdventures I think this was around in the 80's for a hot minute. Crazy how everything has changed in just a few short decades.
The heck was all that cutting near the generator?
Just buy it dude lol
I know, just add to the collection
Maybe that was a hot water heater in the closet
True
It is a Vaus
Are you and the cameraman wearing matching coats?
Sure
❤️❤️❤️
Thank you Tami
У меня был такой в 96 г.Хорошая штука
Really cool body style and length!! So many features that reminds me of a 68 and a 72 Airstream trailers I've had. I have a 22 foot Class A Barth motorhome with a Chevy 454 engine that gets 9 to 10 miles to the gallon and isn't as aerodynamic as that Argosy...so you are underestimating the mpg of the Argosy, I'll bet that could get 10 to 13 mpg IF you drive it slow and easy.
Anyway that's a really RARE beauty there. Thanks for the interesting video 👍😎
Thank you very much for the extra information. Maybe with a good tune up this thing would get better mileage
imagine a rock cracking your windshield on way home xD what do you do next
That would be a nightmare
I just saw one of these in Nashua nh. It's been on the same driveway for atleast 5 years. I want the RV sooo bad. What's the value on these ??
Go for it, as an as found Rv, it could be worth 20-30k
You look like a kid in a toy store :D
Yes, it was a lot for fun.
Such a cool piece of Airstream history! Best person in the business giving the tour too. Loved this!!
Thank you. This one was fun to totally geek out on.
I loved to hear the excitement in your voice when showing this unit. It is lovely and so well preserved. Nice to see so many of the original items still remaining. Thank you for the tour.
When Patrick gives tour he gives pin to pin information and tour awesome 😁😀😅😎😃😉👍👍👍
Thank you 🙏🏼
He is a fantastic salesman. He really knows his product. Love listening to him.
I agree. So knowledgeable!! The tours are a bit longer but I'm learning a lot more about these vehicles!!
This was fascinating and loved the slice of history. Your knowledge and enthusiasm is exceptional.
Thank you kindly!
I'm digging that 70's look, I think that color was called burnt orange.. Back then we had harvest gold, avocado green and burnt orange, those were pretty much the colors of the 70's...reminds me of my youth
Great video, I Don´t know how you get all those details without hesitation and not a single cut as far I can tell
Thank you 🙏🏼 years of RV experience
I just bought a 1995 Dodge Roadtrek 190 V, and that front swing around seat conversion to dining room and bed is almost exactly the same. Even my front table has those extensions on each side. Mine is also completely original , (even the original shower curtain!) and I just purchased it from the original owner. Thank you so much! Very cool to see this🥰🚙💚
Modern day engineers should take note, on how to build an RV. But they won't, cuz marketing and accounting run companies now days, and thy sell " Features" that have nothing to do with quality and style , which is pathetic :(
Thank you for checking this one out
You see this now as a style and quality but for people who designed this RV it was marketing and accounting run back then. That's why they designed it so well.
Obviously the owners took good care of it and kept the seals good a lot of airstreams interiors rot out because the seals go bad on the seams, windows, and other penetration areas.
I towed this to its current location. It was an incredibly beautiful unit!
Oh wow cool
Where is it? How can I contact? Would like to perchase
@@tdhawk167 look up ida automotive in Morganville, NJ
Absolutely awesome! Love seeing these old motor homes. I hope it finds someone to care for it and preserve its history. I have to take exception to the description of it being the smallest class A though since I own a 1970 Starcraft Starliner 19 ft. ;)
Thank you for checking this out. Oh wow, nice I am not familiar with that one
Where is this argosy located at?
