That doesnt sound like how friends act, surely there would also have been a more mutual announcements rather than Joey having to deny things the band was saying officially. Valerie Villalobos don't blame him, esp after Alex Venturella (the bassist) collapsed during a show in Hartford, CT from dehydration and was taken to the hospital. They finished their set, but I imagine Corey and the guys must've been seriously freaking out, not knowing if all 9 were gonna leave that gig intact. Esp after losing Paul just a few yrs prior, I don't think the guys (esp Corey) could've handled that again.
What I found funny about that too is that if you watch their live dvd Disasterpieces,before they go on stage Joey throw up (due to nervousness I'm guessing) and Clown started to touched the vomit!When I saw that,I thought it was gross!
I think it's like he wants to push his limits whenever doing a slipknot activity, I.e. doing shit he hates. Also as gross as it is handful of shit which you can wash off or a filthy unwashed asshole licking a huge wound freshly stitched on your face. I know which i would prefer.
