    Dan Cutler has said he preferred his father's sad songs as they were more truthful to how he really was. I think there's something to that. despite the humour there's a profound melancholy underlying all of Ivor's work.

    Seen him with John Cooper Clark & and some punk band. Could have been Wayne County. What a line up. The 1970s were great. It probably cost me £1.25p for the three.
