      I've got a question.. after one week of gum graft I got the dressing removed from the roof of my mouth,
      and I'm now experiencing a lot of aching and pain in this area, and in my teeth... Is this normal? How can I treat this apart from anti inflammatories? Thank you!

    • @gazalgupta5386
      @gazalgupta5386 3 роки тому +2

      @@katrinakaye7997 Yes this is normal to experience pain in that area esp while eating. Since it's in the palate region, the food tends to touch that area constantly. It will take another week or so to heal completely. Till then try to avoid eating very hot and spicy things. But if it's still bothering you a lot, you can ask your dentist to make a retainer or a removable plate that covers your palatal area , and avoids the food from coming in contact with it.
      But yes, it's normal to experience discomfort unless it's unbearable and not on control even after the anti inflammatories.

    I got root planning procedure last weekend and it was painful enough for me. It was hard for me to brush my teeth after the procedure because the gum got loose from my tooth and swollen. It took me 3-4 days until the swollen gums subsided and was easier for me to use my tooth brush and floss. I CAN'T imagine how uncomfortable and painful it must be after the perio flap surgery was done. I pray there won't be any surgery on my teeth and gums in the future. Err..

    Great video, thanks for sharing your perspective. Since this video was created, there is a new generation of bioactivator (cross-linked hyaluronic acid gel) that heal to accelerate healing, reduce swelling and pain. This material attracts the blood, stabilizes the blood clot and enhances soft cell migration, proliferation and differentiation. Happy to share pre-clinical and clinical data with dental professionals.

    I’m having this surgery done in a few days for the area above my 2 front teeth due to a bridge. But you can barely even notice it unless I move my lip and show everyone lol. Really thinking about cancelling it

    If I get the surgery, then I'd probably have to take multivitamins with water and no foods/ beverages at all until the surgery areas heal completely. That way, the gum will not develop any more inflammation because of the foods that go into the gum pockets. I may lose weight but don't have to worry about brushing my teeth after the surgery.

    Periodontal surgery is gonna be done in wisdom tooth

  • @jessicacharpentier8445

    "we gonna wait a solid 6 months before we re-evaluate the area", when this is done by quadrant, does it mean you should wait 6 months to do the other quadrants? two years to do the whole mouth? Or can you do 4 quadrants at once. I'm talking for advance case with bone grafting etc ... do you need to wait for evaluation ( 6 months) to start eating solid food again ( on the side you did the surgery if you did it by quadrant) ?
    if this is the case, would it be better to do the whole mouth at once?

When should i start to brush,the bleeding has stopped but i have some gelatinous blood stuck between the 2 teeth, i am conflicted whether to clean it out or wait till 24 hours post op to start brushing.

      Don't do it . Find someone who specializes in implants!! I have been to 3 different dentists since 2017 they removed All my teeth, then bone grafting,. My Temps. Didn't fit I couldn't eat solid food for 2 years. Then my permanent Didn't work out either. Here we r 2023 I have gone from 134lbs. To 98 lbs. Some people don't even recognize me. Now I'm a recluse, prisoner in my own home. It took me 3 yrs. Before I would let my husband see me with out my teeth. I would invite you to try and passionately kiss your partner. Let me know how that worked out for you. I wish you luck
