Not only my favorite Moodies song, but it's been my favorite song since 1971. From the heart Justin, thank you.

EXCELLENT !!!! Thank you!
I love Tuesday afternoons...
Thank you Justin!
I love this!
I was in the front row the night this was filmed in Melbourne, FL. What a magical evening.
I will forever be a Moody! ❤
Moody Blues..timeless as is Justin Hayward's unique fabulous vocals. May you be blessed with continued performances like this that we are so lucky to hear!
Love the song, love the Moody Blues, love Justin Hayward as he used to be. We saw him in concert in the early 2000s and his vocals then were indeed timeless, but let's be realistic -- since then his vocals have degraded. Many times he splits words that shouldn't be split: At 1:53, "Listen to the ta-ide slowing turning, wash all our ha-art aches away, we're pa-art of the fire." At 2:20, "the life that we are living is in vain" is not smooth at all, it's out of rhythm. This is not how he ever sang this song before. Bless his heart for the effort, but he's too old for this and it's exaggerating to call his 2020 vocals timeless. The same thing happened with Gordon Lightfoot when we saw him in concert a few years ago -- his voice was weak, it cracked and he just couldn't reach the notes he used to. Some of these guys need to retire and leave our memories of the great old days intact.
@@johnsimion2893 Guess it is just me being generous looking through my retro scope.
@@doctorrobert60 I understand your feeling and I truly hated to disagree with you about it. These aging artists have so much talent and I fear it will never be repeated. At some point, though, they need to recognize that it's time to retire. Let us remember them through their original recordings and videos, the way we grew up with them.
No matter his age, Justin Hayward's voice is beautiful.
@@doctorrobert60 show respect. He is still out there and this tour could be his last. Still writing.
The magic of Justin and the name of Moody Blues rings far to the heavens with artistry and continued perfection! We are blessed
ABSOLUTELY CORRECT!
Well put.
Wow Justin, that was superb....
Class never ages.
Wow, the lead in that flute...man! Justin sir is great - ya'll do it well and thank you!
I love how Karmen double stamps her foot at 3:46! Wonderful rendition of a song I’ve heard hundreds of times. 🥰🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶🇬🇧🇺🇸

Well here I sit, a dedicated Moodies' Fan, waiting for the next favorite song on a Tuesday afternoon, because it is in the afternoon, and Justin did not disappoint. How could he? When one loves all their songs, it is easy to do that. When Justin stopped in Annapolis in 2019, he did not perform this song. So I am glad that I got to see the performance now. But, I realize he cannot perform all our favorite songs in one gig. He would have to spend many, many hours with his fans, but that would be fine with us. About 90 minutes of listening to Justin sing our favorite songs once a year at a gig simply is not enough, and this year, because of the virus, we do not get to hear and see him perform in person this year. What a bummer. But now, Tuesdays are my favorite day of the week. Thank you Justin for taking the time to do this for your fans. Stay safe, Justin.

So great! The song and the performance. And what a great band ..... Mike Dawes is an incredible guitar player
Mr Hayward, Could you come back to Australia, Sydney & Melbourne. I have seen you 3 times. As The Moodies, War of the worlds in Sydney, and at tBy yourself at the State theatre in Sydney. I met the talented guitar player. He was so brilliant and lovely. He is a talent. You are aware of the devoteies in Aus. In fact I met two sisters my age 35, who saw you at the state theatre, and were flying to Melbourne that night to see you again! We love you in Australia. I'd love to see you again.Your Tuesday afternoons bring me joy in this crazy life. Your music is timeless, and relevant to what the worlds like now. Much Love Kat

You still have it, Justin!
These songs and the stories behind them are absolutely priceless. If I lived to be a million, I would never get enough of Justin Hayward.
If people really understood the moody's and the hundreds of songs that never made the radio, they would realize there 1000 songs were as good as the hits. Just have to listen. Best band ever. Sorry Beatles.
Inspiring and Beautiful!!
Great Justin Hayward .The man.The voice is exactly the same yeahhh!
I remember the 1st time seeing The Moody Blues was at an outdoor venue about 15 years after their last radio play. I was Blown Away then how good they sounded and maybe even improved.
They're the greatest.
This just blew my mind -
Such alot of talent in this song an air play hit, thats great, it should have been a chart hit too. If a single was released Im sure it would have got there. ⭐🎶
outstanding flute solo at hte end !!
His music is only equalled to his brilliance of his words.
This is one of the songs out of thousands on my playlists that NEVER gets skipped. I just turn it up and enjoy Moodies perfection.
One of the greatest bands of the time.
I agree. Saw them twice.
Only one of the greatest ?
Yeah...saw them in Nottingham in, I think, 1983. Mike was no longer in the band, but I thoroughly enjoyed it!
They still are.
!
I wore the grooves off of the "Tales of Future Past " album. I played it over and over. It's probably the most conceptual concept album ever made
Wow! Great backup vocals and Carmens flute playing is just fantastic. Of course Justin’s voice sounded great too!
Wish it was still the 1970's. What music we had then
Me too. Getting very nostalgic
I'm so glad I saw Justin on this tour. Happy memories.
So did I. But then again, I've seen him every time he and band comes to Annapolis.
@@rhondareed3002 I think Justin will make it another time. He loves performing more than anything. When being interviewed when he had been married 50 years, he stated that he really only was married 8 years, because he was gone all the time on tour. He even played on his birthday this past time he was here. When he first came out on stage, I was shocked at how frail he looked. But his voice was strong. I would rather he not tour and take it easy than having him get stressed out and pass. Oh how empty life would be without Justin. I hope the little woman takes good care of him. I just got done listening to the Moodies' music via Amazon Music on my Samsung phone with earphones on for 1 hour and 45 minutes. Nothing like listening to their music with earphones. You get to hear all the little tunes that are played in the song, as well as in stereo. One minutes Justin is singing in one ear and then the other and then at top of head. I use to listen to Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young that way in the late 60s. Their Wooden Ships song was great listening to with earphones because Stills would sing something in one ear and Nash would answer back in the other ear, and then all would sing. Great harmonizing band.
pure joy
As music goes, it cannot get better than this. Lovely version of a really great song. Style never goes out of fashion.

"Hiding in your sweet, sweet love forever more"...so many great lyrics but this by far says it all for me. Justin's deep feelings of love and his willingness to share those thoughts of love are the reason he (and the Moody's) have been such a success! The ability to put those deep emotions into verse and harmonize in such a way to make my heart ache for more is the reason I love them so very much (40+ years) - My first and most long lasting love - The Moody Blues
Their first televised song.....I think, WAS ON US TV ON "Shindig": 1965 "Go Now"....Boggles my mind...I was 9....frgot it and recently heard it gain and thouught it was a group like the "Shirelles" or "Martha Reeve and the Vandellas"!!!!
PS AND ALSO....."DAYS OF THE FUTURE PAST"..I REMEMBER HEARING THAT IN C 1967 OR 68 IN BIRMINGHAM, ALA. ON (I THINK) WERC RADIO........IT WAS "THE FATHER TREE EXPERIENCE" AND PLAYED "HEAD ROCK" OR SO IT WAS THOUGHT TO BE EVERY AFTERNOON ABOUT 1 OR 2 PM......I WAS ABOUT 12 SO I WAS AT SCHOOL AND WOULDN'T HAVE HEARD IT BUT FOR ONE RARE SNOW DAY.......PLUS YOU HAD TO HAVE FM AND MOST KIDS RADIOS WERE AM OR WITH LITTLE KNOWN FM CAPABILITY THAT BEING MUZAK OR CLASSICAL-TYPE MUSIC...OR SINATRA, JERRY VALE AND ANDY WILLIAMS...OK BUT NOT TYPICAL KIDS FARE....JUST MY MAMA AND DADDY'S NIGHTIME SLEEPING MUSIC IN THE ADJACENT BEDROOM...
BUT...I HAVE THE OLD LP (VINYL... FOR THOSE "FORMATTILY" ( IS THAT A REAL WORD) CHALLENGED")..IT IS COPYRIGHTED 1967.....BUT THIS SONG I NEVER HEARD AGAIN AFTER 67-68 UNTIL 1972 WHEN IT WAS RELEASED IN THE USA......I WAS 16 RUNNING AROUND IN CARS SO I REMEMBER VERY ACCURATELY...GO FIGURE...IT MET A RESURGENCE CIRCA 1989 OR SO....
THE MOST UNDER-LISTEED TO AND UNDER APRECIATED BAND IN HISTORY....ROCK ON JUSTIN...WE JUST LOST JUDITH FROM THE NEW SEEKERS A COUPL'A WEEKS AGO...VAYA CON DIOS JUDITH...
I miss Justin Hayward Tuesday Afternoon video series. But always satisfied with any of his music 🎶 wish he would come back with Tuesday Afternoon video series.

Keep Rockin in the free world Justin.
The ultimate classic song, performed beautifully by our man and his awesome band again....what a delightful arrangement, what skilful execution, and what fun to be a part of for all.
If you can’t have the soaring red Gibson sound, I will take the acoustic/flute combination any time.
Thank you all of you, so very much.
What a gifted singer, song writer and entertainer. As lead man of one of the world's great bands, Justin never disappoints. Just one thing missing from this excellent version of a super tune: the wonderful, driving bass, played especially well by one of the top rock bassists, John Lodge, in the rock version.
His voice gets better with age. Amazing 😮
Great performance.
I grew up listening to the Moody blues from record, 8 track, cassette, dvd and now digitally; Moody Blues are always in my favorites. thanks mom for sharing this wonderful music that has always spoken to my soul. this song always been one of my favorites! LOVE the Moody Blues... too bad i was never able to see them live....
Always another WOW!
This is THE Greatest Rock and Roll song ever written.
What's been said before deserves repeating. I love to watch an "old" pro. They still play because they love it.It feeds their soul.
I do not see him as an "old Pro." I see him as Justin Hayward, the singer, songwriter of the Moody Blues. Not only are his songs timeless, Justin is timeless.
@@ladyhecate9450 You misread the quotation marks. Perhaps I should have just said " veteran" .I should have known a non musician would not under stand what I wrote.

Whenever I listen to a Moody Blues song such as this one, I always imagine being on a tall transparent sailing ship travelling through time and space in search for the outer limits of the universe, a place better known to be as heaven.
Great songs never die ! Maybe I have been to at least 100 concerts of the Moody's and I can't wait for the next one. I was so happy they finally put you in The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. Long overdue ! Forever Moody's !

Justin seem like an example of a well lived life. I was first introduced to The Blues through Tuesday Afternoon when I was 13 years old.
What a wonderful version of a timeless and brilliant rock classic. IMO this is one of the best Moody and Justin songs. It goes from bleak to hopeful, back and forth, following the minor to major chord patterns. Brilliantly written song by one of my generation’s great rock songwriters, musicians and artists.
