I don’t even surf, I just like watching surf movies because of the music, the beautiful scenery and the thrill of adventure surfers experience, that’s so clearly evident.
So do I. I like Chris Burkard. He means inspiration and passion to me. Watch "Under an Arctic Sky" . Amazing, fascinating, the music is so good. Thank you so much for sharing all this good content with us, Chris Burkard! (((-:
Yeah, you need to try it some time, you'll be amazed pretty quickly, it's pretty awesome, and lasted 38 years of my life, although I don't do it as often as I'd like though because I've got back problems now, maybe it's partly to do with surfing, but mainly doing extreme abs competitive sports and travelling, but yeah, try it, you won't regret it 😉 every person that i know that has tried it or I've taught has never given up since
That's Justin Quintal. He is from my home break. Jacksonville Beach, FL. See him all the time. He's really good on a shortboard and a longboard. And he is one of the few guys out there in Jax Beach who isn't a complete douche bag. Really cool to see him in a movie like this with some big names.
Great vid. Loved it! the ground looked a little uneven, but glad you found the break. For us northern watermen, what thickness neoprene did you find you needed?
Aloha!!! Can anyone tell me how is called the beach/spot/ village which appears in the video? I'm heading Faroe this summer and I would like to visit this place!!! Cheers
I understand the frustration that fat better surfers than myself feel when I turn up to practice on their breaks, but I find it hard to get the hours in nowdays because too many better surfers tell me to get lost when I turn up to give it my earnest shot.
Guys you should check out Juan Kemps his surfing all around tierra del feugo is AWSOME!!! Completely of the chart try "tracks" magazine they will Point ya'll in the right direction.........."only a surfer knows the feeling" Mates jk is hard core and rad👍🏄👍
i had the sound off and after watching a few minutes thought aloud "man these guys who traveled here for sheeptending/herding jobs sure did learn the local custom of surfing quickly. bravo.
This is what it is clealry mentioned...it's their culture...what about bullfighting? are u still thinking the same? people who promote it gives the same exact reasons...we evolve cause we adapt to our environments, I mean, our "current" environment so please let's talk about surfing instead! By the way, amazing video, guys! keep finding new spots and enjoying during the journey!
The whole place is like that village in the movie Deliverance. Way too much inbreeding in the Faroes. The "Cultural" argument they use for their behaviour is so outdated. Not a place I want to ever go back to.
dji zzah Wow you really have no clue. There's absolutely no reason to try to explain to you the stoke of finding a break with your bros. They scored so hard, epic waves.
I loved the surfing but there's ABSOLUTELY no justification to their abhorrent whale slaughtering!! Sorry mate but along with the Japanese and Chinese, these people are the cruellest.
Whales live free all of their lives, and the only whales that get hunted are the ones who swim through the Islands. All of the meat is free and is distributed between the locals. It looks bad of course, but we think if you live in a country where you have slaughterhouses then you shouldn't be the one to judge. The sheep on the Islands live free as well. If you have been to the Islands you will notice that not much grows here, and almost everything is imported, which is of course very unsustainable, not environmentally friendly and super expensive. Back in the old days, we survived eating potatoes, sheep, fish, and whale. It's our local food. And we still eat local.
The locals there have utmost respect for their environment and only kill pods of whales that enter a specific fyord. In do so this does not actually affect the Atlantic populations of the whales at all

You should try it someday.😊

That's awesome. 💙
great footage. I love the atmosphere of cold water surf movies. Much more intense than most happy surf on white beach videos
Great film. Would be cool to link the surfers socials in the description, along with the music artists. Cheers
Oh, I just noticed the music is in the end credits.
+Mr Ben Brown You definitely need to go there or Iceland and shoot a visual vibes. Would be absolutely stunning!
Mr Ben Brown I'm going this summer ben you should come do a visual vibes 😉😂

This gives me joy. Even in some of the coldest, dreariest places on earth, surfing is still magic
Barrels in the Faroe Islands!
I think the section at 8:14 is some of the most crucial surf footage I've ever seen
Loved the video. I really like the concept of finding new travel destination with the same tenacity these guys search for unridden waves.
Gnarly waves and what a view!
Amazing guys, fantastic trip, soul surfers brothers! Lovely’s... 🤙🏽💎💙
Great story and shots!
Thanks a lot guys. That was awesome.
Awesome, thank u guys!
I'd much rather go here than any tropical location. The beauty is epic.
the locals would probably say the same
looks like another world, this place is mind blowing, insane landscape
Psychedelic I agree. It's definitely amazing.
check the videos of "gauchos del mar", two brothers from argentina, they went trough a trip at patagonia, at argentina and also at chile
Psychedelic Goa Trance trip- spiritual mind Thanks. I'll check it out.

Wow-these conditions are harsh AF, and these guys just paddled out & shredded the shit out of it anyway. Very, very impressive.
Mad, post more often this is sick as
superrrrrrbbbbbbb! great filming....cool surfing. Best thing I have seen in a long time
Very specific swell direction to get into that place for sure.
Great footage!
Nice waves, nice surfing 👍
And that wasn't the cold time of the year - wow.
killer spot!
whats the artist name for the jam that starts @5:40
Excellent work
Great vid. Loved it! the ground looked a little uneven, but glad you found the break.
For us northern watermen, what thickness neoprene did you find you needed?
Surfing starts at 6:02
17 people hate the cold
Thank you.
good one cheers
that was badass!
Aloha!!! Can anyone tell me how is called the beach/spot/ village which appears in the video? I'm heading Faroe this summer and I would like to visit this place!!! Cheers
Hi! I think it's Tjørnuvík in the north of Faroes Island
when I surfed there I just wore sheep skin it's warmer than a wetsuit and you have more mobility these guys must be new. Good video though!
This is my kind of place. Solitude is what surfing nowadays is all about for me. Too many kooks on the waves everywhere you go..
+Rod Templar What do you actually mean by 'kooks'? Just wondering, peace, bro
I mean there are too many wannabe surfers crowding the waves, unless you can find a place like these guys have found :)
I understand the frustration that fat better surfers than myself feel when I turn up to practice on their breaks, but I find it hard to get the hours in nowdays because too many better surfers tell me to get lost when I turn up to give it my earnest shot.
*far
The only kook is the one who's calling others kooks.
Don’t think I’d go all that way for those waves.
What's the name of the song starting at 5:39?
i want to know this too

The last one is Darkside - Heart or Paper Trails
Not sure but one of both is the one !
would like to see it at its best
Where is dis place?
my home break.. :)
Aloha mate, how is called this spot/village?
Guys you should check out Juan Kemps his surfing all around tierra del feugo is AWSOME!!! Completely of the chart try "tracks" magazine they will

I wanna live like this
About the farming and killing of the animals. This is what people do, and have always done. This is life. Get used to it.
they kill wales to eat there, this is the diference, there is a whale wars episode about this
Gotta wonder how someone could be so stupid and clueless. Where and how the fuck do they think food comes from?
I’m from NZ and from my knowledge we don’t kill whales, but what happened 100+ years ago was the first Europeans to arrive killed them
This is what it is clealry mentioned...it's their culture...what about bullfighting? are u still thinking the same? people who promote it gives the same exact reasons...we evolve cause we adapt to our environments, I mean, our "current" environment so please let's talk about surfing instead!

Are you serious mate?! Have you even watched vision of their yearly 'Grind'?
song list pls?
Merci parfaitement
How thick are their wetsuits? 6/5mm or 5/4mm??
obviously not that cold if some of them dont need to wear gloves.
Doesn't even answer the question...
Luca Cavallaro most likely 5/4
Merci
+Jeaninr Doucet canada
is this pitcairn island?
Faroe Islands
Sick
This movie makes me glad to be alive
Very well.
+Rod Templar , every body was a "wanna be" surfer at one point , including you, Dane, etc etc etc
wonder if those people started surfing.
Best size waves I want to ride em
Sooooooooooooooooo sick
Gotta hold it down when survival depends on it.
I want to go there but i cant afjord it
Electrified landscape...
Shaped by electrical force... Sucked out of the Earth... by a passing behemoth...

Про овечек это вы зря показали 😢
Teribble music but awesome film
47 sheep hit the dislike

heh, yeh and you dont get skin cancer either!
Yeah, it’s ok to eat pigs, sheep and cattle but not whales?
Yeah, if you find whale slaughter distasteful, maybe you should stay in L.A. and eat your factory farmed In-N-Out burgers.
Why the fk would you live there then?!!
No can do watching animals be killed.
Great video. Unbearable music
nice scenery but ordinary waves. was it really worth all that effort??
dji zzah Wow you really have no clue. There's absolutely no reason to try to explain to you the stoke of finding a break with your bros. They scored so hard, epic waves.
dji zzah you may surf, but you are definitely not a surfer with a question like that
Permanent ice cream head for pretty much mediocre waves? Sounds worth it 😂😆
I loved the surfing but there's ABSOLUTELY no justification to their abhorrent whale slaughtering!! Sorry mate but along with the Japanese and Chinese, these people are the cruellest.
