This made me homesick. Cardiff by the Sea and north county SD is my favorite place in the states. I moved to Phuket, Thailand six years ago. This a piece of art. I tasted the water, felt the kelp, I know that sunset so well while surfing Swamis, Cardiff Reef, Seaside...I almost tasted VG's!

I think everything you touch you turn into gold, so please keep making boards, fins and every thing you van come up. I saw the recent Ikea collaboration and it looks awesome
So fortunate to have lived and surfed for a lifetime in and around North County San Diego. I chose to go to college at UCSD because I could walk to Blacks from the dorms and have never left. Later I worked at the local Boys and Girls clubs and so I kinda sorta knew about Rob from very early on. Then he hit the big time and he was and is forever 'my guy'. We love you, Rob.

You really captured rhythm of surfing through a season on a specific piece of coast. Although, the reefs and beaches around San Diego are an exceptionally rich region for waves.

Best surf film I've seen since I don't know when. I've got a So cal bias. But ultimately the Debussy is far more reflective of ideal surfing than any other music ever thrown at a film. I'd say hip hop is next, and I dont know why. Real hip hop though, not the gangsta rap fecal matter, is next best. I surf socal and am a professional musician. I play Debussy and everything from Metallica to whatever else you want. Debussy has always thrown my sites to an overcast sky above salt swept sands. Debussy also captures the edge of the golden age of exploration. I grew up riding before the internet and I am filled with sorrow for all those who missed that time. We explored our backyards because we didn't have a blog to consult. We had relationship. We had the happy occasion of a coastline going rictor without warning or forecast. Everytime we paddleded out was filled with hope. Now we paddle out with expectation. It's not the same at all.
Sup Rob!! Used to see you out at North Beach in coronado screaming down that epic left before 9/11 shut down that part of the beach for non military. 🤣 you were one of the only people i saw actually make that wave.

Rob, I am a beginner surfer and I really enjoyed this film. It was simply mesmerizing! You float on water and the ocean dances around you. The music, the clips, the unbelievable surfing. I hope one day that I can come close to making a bottom turn and top turn like you do. And barrels too! Thank you for making this film!

Seaside keeps me feeling young, so many thanks on that front. Will get a Mashup in May to keep challenging myself. Your a very benign force in Surf culture. Good man yourself.
