One idea that could be tricky to pull off in this movie, but could also work well. Is to do a faux “Missing Kid” storyline with Lisa Trevor. Where they. Find information about Lisa being somewhere in the mansion, so they keep a lookout for her, and the movie plays it off as the “Yeah, we’ll save the kid and then get her out of the mansion with the rest of us!” Which could explain some of the detours they may have to take in the Mansion. Then at the end they finally piece together WHO Lisa Trevor Really is and have it work as an emotional guy punch once they see what happened to her.
There's just one issue with tht plot point : lisa has been missin since 1969,and the events of the 1st game is in 1998,police stop searching for missin ppl after it breaks the 24 hr mark, and lisa and her family have been missing for 30 whole yrs 😂
I'd love Sam Rami to do a Resident Evil movie. He is the master of Horror Comedy and Evil Dead as well as the games should be used as a complete point of reference.
So this needs to happen lol if you're serious about getting this movie made, the time is now. @Adam Freddo makes a really good point and actually I've thought about this too, Sam Raimi's style of filming within the Evil Dead movies screams Resident Evil late 90s survival horror. Something that I think would be cool is filming it with old tech or some sort of 80s/90s filter and making sure it had that 80s slasher aesthetic: whether that be visually or through the audio of the movie. All effects would be practical, super low budget but done right, and straight fucking cheese man. Literally I don't want any money from this, I just want my favorite game franchise to get a respected movie adaptation. All in all, I love the idea and I would really like to help out with the filming aspect of the movie if it were to happen.
I agree for the most part. Wesker on the other hand, i would actually write his character as a more positive strong leader of STARS. make him as likable as possible, so when he does turn out to be the traitor, even the most dedicated fans will feel betrayed.
That would work for people who have zero knowledge of Resident Evil's story, but as this is a story for both newcomers and fans, something like that would come off as really weak unless the actor for Wesker brings an exceptional performance. I'm not a casting director, nor a professional screenwriter, so I'm just having fun writing something that doesn't use an actor's performance as a crutch.
Not sure if she should be like an UBER badass, but she should definitely know quite a bit more about to handle the situation compared to Chris. My two-cents, kinda reminds me of the 2012 TMNT Show when Mikey's in Dimension X and time there is different, and he knows like a bunch of these things. . but he's still like the goofy kid we know. . I'd personally see it to where Rebecca, while knowing what to do, is still very much the young rookie. . she does get flustered and emotional. . and considering she's had to deal with god knows how much shit, the monsters, and Lisa, she's probably a lot more paranoid and mentally unstable. . Like a recurring element could be Rebecca scared shitless of the thought of finally going over the deep end and losing her mind. . and she nearly does at a point, but she's pulled back thanks to the others.
My idea for a prologue sequence would be the grand opening of an amusement park. A little girl, along with other children, are running around in a funhouse that has child-friendly versions of the puzzles and traps later seen in the mansion. A man in a suit and jacket wanders the fun house. We never see his full face but when he turns his head, we can see that he’s smiling. The scene changes to a special booth for the grand opening where you can “Meet the ride creators.” The man in the suit and jacket walks over to a booth marked “George Trevor; Funhouse Architect.” The man in the suit introduces himself as Oswell Spencer and the two start talking. The dialogue is an exposition dump about who they both are, this new pharmaceutical company he’s starting called Umbrella, and that Trevor doesn’t have any new contracts after this funhouse and is worried where his next paycheck will come from. During this talk, the girl from the beginning climbs onto her dad’s lap, with her dad saying “Are you having fun, Lisa?” Spencer says that he has a proposal for Trevor and produces a roll of paper from his jacket and spreads it out on the table. It’s a rough outline for the blueprints for the Spencer Estate. Trevor is interested until he notices that the list of puzzles and traps and the lethality of them. He tells Lisa to go play and says “What the hell is this?” “Security measures,” Spencer responds “Umbrella’s assets must be protected and the last thing a thief would expect is a funhouse of security measures.” Trevor admits that that’s actually a brilliant idea but how could it possibly be legal? “We have the best lawyers money can buy,” replies Spencer, leaning in a littler closer “Listen, if you don’t want to do it you can certainly refuse. But if you accept, I will make sure you and your family are looked after very, very well.” Trevor looks past Spencer at Lisa who is walking along holding hands with her mother. “Do we have a deal?” Says Spencer, extending his hand. Trevor hesitates, then grabs Spencer’s hand and they shake. CUT TO BLACK OPENING CREDITS
The book "The Umbrella Conspiracy" from S. D. Perry, depicting the events of the first game does an *AMAZING* job at covering the plot holes that you mentioned, and more, because something I've never seen anyone talk about is, for example, who collected the armor key? Or the sword key? Was it Chris? Was it Jill? And canonically, both Chris and Jill, along with Barry AND Rebecca (not OR, *AND*) survives. And the book covers all that, while MAINTAINING the Barry traitor subplot. That just goes to show how easy it is to adapt Resident Evil to a movie or a TV show, but yet, no one seems to be able to do it 🤷🏻♂️
When you first said *Horror Comedy* I was imagining Evil Dead 2 style of comedy stuffed into Resident Evil But your idea is way better then what I was thinking
I wouldn't make a movie, but a series instead. My perfect blueprint for screenwriters would be like this: Season 1 - 1950s - 1980s - Trip to West Africa + Spencer having flashbacks from his trip in Romania. - Abduction of Trevor Family as it followed in George's diary. - Foundation of Umbrella Corporation, their experiments, their dynamics between workers and sciencists. - Foundation of Training Facility, dynamic between Wesker and Birkin. - The story of Dr. Marcus and Dr. Ashford. - Birkin and his relationship with Annette (how they met and all that); His rivalry with Alexia Ashford. - More experiments with progenitor and Lisa Trevor. - Dr. Marcus was assassinated. - Further development of Raccoon City. Season 2 - 1990 - 1998 - Affairs and corruption in Raccoon City Hall, their ties with Umbrella. - Formation of S.T.A.R.S. + how they worked on their daily routines. - Alyssa Ashcroft backstory from RE: Outbreak; Arklay Hospital incident (1993). - Background story of Chris Redfield, Barry Burton and Jill Valentine. - Outbreak in Training Facility and Spencer Mansion (May-June 1998) - Events of Resident Evil 0, but reworked (July 1998). - Events of Resident Evil 1, also reworked at some points. - Wesker's "revival" and escape from the Spencer Mansion (Umbrella Chronicles) - Survivors of the S.T.A.R.S. team confronts Chief of Raccoon Police Department, then their unit get disbanded. - Introduction of new character - Kevin Ryman. Season 3 - 1998 - Destruction of Raccoon City. Events of Resident Evil 2, 3 and some parts from RE Outbreak, all reworked to make sense, but still faithful to the source material. - "Axeman" killer case (Alyssa Ashcroft story arc in Arklay Forest and Arklay Hospital, she did escaped thru the Arklay Forest). - Kevin Ryman story arc within Raccoon Police Department, his dynamics with Marvin, Cindy, Elliot and other officers - pretty much During the Storm mod + RE Outbreak scenario where he helps Linda Baldwin and Yoko Suzuki leave the commercial Umbrella Facility (not NEST) and then: he escapes from the city with them. Season 4 - post Raccoon City era (1998 - 2004) - Events of Code Veronica X, reworked at some points. - Umbrella Trials, ex-Umbrella employees: Linda Baldwin and Yoko Suzuki testifies against their former bosses. - Caucasus lab incident. - Foundation of BSAA.
If I made a resident evil film, I'd focus on the horror of the series. That you can run into death around any corner. The story would surround a mystery that is uncovered during the film. I wouldn't make an action flick with references to the games.
Not bad ideas tbh. RE has mostly had the cheesy B movie tone so the comedic approach isn't too far out there. I would say for me have the character chemistry like in Aliens/Predator, atmosphere of movies like The Shining and the over the top splatter gore of an Evil Dead or early Peter Jackson movie.
The only way I can see them pulling off having 1 & 2 in the same movie is just shifting the timeline of events slightly. So in the movie Raccoon City has already succumb to the T Virus and S.T.A.R.S are sent to investigate the reported origin of the virus in the Spencer Mansion, that way it can switch between tense and atmospheric in the mansion and more action and thriller in Racoon City Only problem I can see with that is it loses much of the mystery of Alpha team uncovering the mystery of the mansion.
I like a lot of your ideas. A few things I would like to contribute is to make the mansion’s traps and puzzles more practical, like extra precautions incase someone without clearance tries snooping around. Also, for the ending, perhaps the Tyrant ruthlessly pursues the heroes as they desperately try to escape the detonation, fighting him just enough to get past whatever obstacles he poses, and then maybe getting held in the mansion by Lisa as a self-sacrifice? For this to work for your story, Rebecca and Lisa would have to have some more interactions before the finale. Perhaps Rebecca was being kept by Lisa and Chris finds her after she tried to escape Lisa’s home?
I feel like the remakes of 2 and 3 are actually well done enough cinematically that I wouldn't change that much beyond making the A and B playthroughs of 2 work better narratively and make sure 3 has more character moments with Jill and Carlos--oh and making Nemesis more of a threatening presence.
THIS IS HOW TO MAKE AN ACCURATE RESIDENT EVIL MOVIE! I just saw Welcome to Raccoon City and it's a bag full of trash damn! They should've stick into adapting the first movie only and the way you envisioned how a live action adaptation of the first Resident Evil is the way to go! It's brilliant! It may have changes here and there but hey, it is so much faithful to the video game's lore.
I like your ideas. Well thought out. I’d only really like to try and keep it a horror as much as possible as I remember it being terrifying when i was younger, but I do get your points that it may be hard with the story anyway.
Chris would be the superior soldier and survivalist which is what came to mind while playing both OG & Remake, while Jill would be the superior tactician & strategist. Rebecca should be the 🧠’s, Barry the levity & Muscle/Gun, expand Richard a bit before he dies (He helps defeat Yawn, only to succumb to the Neptune after he and Rebecca try to kill Plant42’s roots so Chris/Jill, Barry and whoever can kill it. Etc.) Call me nuts, but I feel A director/writer team like Zack Snyder/James Gunn could do justice to RE.
I like the way you streamlined the story of the game. I also wish they were just going to focus on one game instead of cramming them into the same movie
I think the first half of your version is perfect. Love the idea of cutting out the whole pointless Barry traitor subplot and making him the sort of "father figure" of the group, while putting more emphasis on the relationship between him and Jill. I definitely like the idea of showing Chris enter the mansion from a different location, having Rebecca play a tougher character and giving Lisa Trevor a much larger role. However there are a couple things I'd do differently. I'd probably Cut out the Yawn and the Giant spiders, while placing much more emphasis on the Crimson Heads and the Hunters. In fact, I'd have the Hunters brutally slaughter Richard Aiken in an extreeeemly gruesome death scene. I'd also end up killing off Rebecca and Barry. I'd have Rebecca Killed by Lisa Trevor right before Chris finishes Lisa off himself, and I'd have a seen near the end where Barry is fatally attacked by a Hunter, allowing me to place the *SAME* sad dramatic scene from the original game where Barry dies while handing Jill a photograph of his wife and daughters. I think killing off Rebecca and Barry would also give the movie a significantly darker and dramatic tone while strengthening the bond between Jill and Chris.
You should make a similar video for a Resident Evil 2 movie! I loved this video, I've seen it twice now. I wish they could put you in the charge of the script next time they inevitably reboot the series again!

I love your ideas for the most part. I think the best one out of all of them is Barry being the team dad! The idea that I had for a RE movie(s) was to adapt the S.D. Perry novels into films, adding things like Leisa into the first movie, etc. The novels are not cannon from what I remember, but I think they can work as a movie series. They adapt RE 1-3, Code Veronica, and Zero with one book being a connection between 1 and 2. And one being an original story set in the universe.
I really liked the idea for the Arklay show that never came out. The idea of resident evil starting off as a true crime story would be interesting given that the first information we get in the game is that there have been a string of murders in the forests surrounding raccoon city. I also think it is good that they are combining 1 and 2 because there are a lot more interesting dynamics between the characters such as Chris and Claire's relationship. I would probably dial back the role of STARS and make them more like an elite team of beat cops. Claire would be visiting her brother and she goes with him on a ride along meanwhile Leon is with Jill as his training officer. This way we see Leon become a badass by learning from Jill. Barry and Wesker are also partners, but they end up being dirty. Things kick off when a 911 call comes in and Chris and Jill along with Leon and Claire go investigate. Turns out to be zombies. They return to RCPD and end up getting sieged and have to escape through the sewers. Eventually they find out about the lab in the Spencer mansion and they head there by helicopter (maybe to find a vaccine?). The rest movie the movie plays out with them making their way through the mansion and eventually facing mutated Birkin before blowing up the place.
i'm kind of seeing jenna ortega as rebecca chambers. a rookie who gets traumatized by her experiences and ends being the more survivalist type from her experiences the night before.
I'd adapt the books and do some tweaking so I can add in that special book that came with the preorders of the first game so that way we'd get Billy Rabitsons story in there.
Yeah I agree they should go for a resident evil universe based on the games allow us to care for these adaptation of the characters - don't agree with the comedy aspect though it needs to be serious for it to last
I don't mind a hypothetical movie about the 2nd or 3rd game being more serious. There's a lot less to make fun of in those stories. Code Veronica through 6, though...
EXCELLENT concept! Then at the end, Ada Wong (or Carla Radames) finds the seemingly dead Wesker and brings him back to life as they make love and plot their secret plans for Resident Evil 2. 😆
I'm only a minute and 52 seconds into the video and I say that you're hired... Lol Now that I watched the whole video I stand by my previous statement.
Not a bad take at all, love all of RE from the dark and horrific to the cheesy B- monster movie stuff (in fact i live for that kind of stuff) heck love it or hate it RE6 is a big guilty pleasure of mine and it is flowing with it, and i really love how your idea for a movie based on the first game really seems to embrace that B-Movie feel plus a good old Monster Slugfest is always welcome, in many ways this kinda reminds me of the George A. Romero script in that regard actually, GREAT JOB SIR 🧟♂🧟♀🧟😊👍
Instead of a movie I’d like a show that followed the events of the game season 1 would focus of resident evil 0 and 1 while season 2 would be re 2 and 3 and Wesker would be like the over arching villain of the series. I would like it to be a mix of the remakes and originals with a few things added in to fix plot holes in the story and make it more cohesive.
If I would make a Resident Evil movie, I would probably take a lot of inspiration from the S.D. Perry Books. Those books already went with the trouble of giving each character a backstory and personality, and honestly they are... Fun books.
Funny enough but my idea to make a movie based on RE3 Nemesis would be to combine that game with Survivor. Jill investigates Sheena Island since they produce Tyrants there. She's undercover as a sexy lady of the night when Ark Thompson shows up and a biohazard happen so the UBCS is deployed to save civilians and arrest Commander Vincent while Nemesis hunts them all down. This way, RE3's story can be told in a way that won't be a retread of the second game.
Hey man just watched this video whilei i am like two years late i really enjoyed your take on this classic story, RE1 is my all time favoitre game and the story is so silly but the cast is so loveable and iconic its really great. Just got into RE franchise like this year and i am glad I found this video
Movie starts like a murder mystery, star’s investigating the murders in the arkley mountains, eventually stumbling on to the mansion and the movie changes into a horror like from dust till dawn did.
That pretty close to what I was thinking accept Barry being a pawn is that twist on a twist behind Wesker but u could also have Barry unknowingly do things on behalf of Wesker that interfere with the main characters
It's so funny. You and I have a very, very similar idea on how the movie should be filmed. I'm actually writing a script for a Resident Evil 1 movie. I'll get your opinion when it is complete. Good video.
You got a point, I kinda wish it was an action comedy horror, because it would be kinda cool. But I think Rebecca, being the rookie, should have some issues going up against the BOWs because she’s seen what they do. I want to see a scene where Chris and her run into zombified versions of her comrades and she freezes up and starts to have a severe mental breakdown when Berry and Jill show up and save them at the last second.
Interresting idea. Though don't buff Rebecca too much. Best story adaptation was by S.D Perry with her book "The Umbrella Conspiracy" perfectly bringing the game to life. They should base any movie from her books.
My guess is that it will be RE0 and RE1 combo. I'd like to see Billy as an abducted captive that was scheduled for experimentation but interrupted and saved by STARS as they work to escape the horrors. If it is successful then the next movie should be RE2+RE3 in Raccoon City with lickers, tyrants(including Nemesis), and the Umbrella Corps against RPD and STARS Also since Billy was experimented on from their 1st movie, he then transforms into Nemesis for the 2nd
Maybe if the spencer mansion and the rpd crews both end up meeting up in the same umbrella lab and the climax is against both wesker and birkin, I can see it kindddd of working. Obviously its not ideal especially considering the movies most likely gonna be closer to 90 minutes than it will 2 hours but eh. Casting is alright, im expecting a 6/10 movie with some cool easter eggs
To tell the truth the reboot will probably the best re film will every get when you compared it to the other 6, it'll probably be a meh film but a good re film
@@VladyO the biggest opstical for the film is 1 how they going to put the both of these stories in most likely a 2hour 30 film and the 2nd problem is understanding the characters, it's kinda well known many re fan aren't happy about the cast, I don't care who play the characters only fear is the director doesn't know how the characters act
@@VladyO the only way I see them putting the story in 1 film is Claire still goes to raccoon City to find Chris to tell him yeah raccoon City is shit so leave, jill, Chris and wesker go to the mansion on the night we're raccoon gets taken over instead of the 6 month gap, Claire makes it to raccoon City goes to emmy diner see a zombie goes and leave to the rpd goes meets Marvin than Leon and then the plot for both the games plays and we cut to the both of them (Chris, Claire) bla bla bla jill stays or gets separated for re3, everyone leave raccoon City P.s sorry if this incredible lengthy this is just in my opinion the only reasonable way this man can make a story for the film because he kinda got himself stuck between a rock and a hard place
@DJGladTV @DJGladTV Alien and The Thing are very serious and well-crafted movies with almost zero cheesy moments or breaks in the audience's suspension of disbelief unless you actively look for them. Resident Evil was never meant to be taken all that seriously, especially since the first game is an homage to cheesy 80s action films and B-movie schlock. Resident Evil 2 and 3 are the only main games with stories you could take remotely seriously as apocalyptic survival horror films if you adapt them, and even they have their moments of stupidity. The multiple scenarios are great ways to entice the player to replay the game from a different perspective, but they would make zero sense if you adapted them faithfully from the game to a movie, and doesn't even make sense canonically--both Barry and Rebecca make it out alive according to Resident Evil 2, when that's not possible in-game. It's fun to think about for a player, but you can't say it's a good idea for a movie nor can you say it fits with later events in the games themselves.
First, the way this video reminds me of how Game Theory used to be when he started. Second, this would be great ideas for the first movie, definitely I would see this movie, I wonder how you would develop RE2/RE3/REoutbreak movie. (But that’s another movie. A VIDEO GAME MOVIE) Also the Tyrant’s remains should be uncovered by Umbrella and made into Nemesis giving Nemesis more weight as an Antagonist in some future sequel.
I'm kind of sad they never made George A. Romero Rejected movie of RE1 but given in that one Chris isn't a part of S.T.A.R.S and he's just Jill's boyfriend that lives on a ranch in the Arklay Forest and get the first hand view of what the virus does to the wildlife and basically sneaks into the mansion following the S.T.A.R.S members would be too far from the games...Well it would be more close to the games than what we got. But recycled it would make a great side movie of a civilian's perceptive of the outbreak like well the game Outbreak but in the Arklay Forest where it all started RIP Romero
I mean it's pretty easy to see how RE 1 and 2 can happen at same time in movie. Have Birkin's scene from RE 2 be what starts the mansion zombies. Alpha team is sent to the Spencer Mansion where the zombie problem started while it slowly makes it way into the city. So basically you skip the story of RE 3. Or somehow all the RE 1 stuff in the movie is a flashback. Cause IDK if you could really stretch the story into 2 hours. The only reason RE games are so long is because of puzzles.
I feel like RE2 is actually fine on its own if you adapt it into a movie without explaining the events of RE1--the Remake makes it pretty straightforward. But involving the characters of RE1 would probably require explaining a huge amount of events in the Umbrella conspiracy and 3 barely has anything in it story-wise. I mean, if you cut out the RE1 characters I can actually see your idea happening. But otherwise I don't see a cohesive story with so many characters present. Plus I like the mansion too much. It's fun.
Hey Vlad, can I call you vlad? I honestly love your take on the original resident evil. It works extremely well with the Re2\3makes. Please just keep making more videos. 👍
Part one: the beginning should start off with a party at the Spencer mansion 2 week before STARS is deployed in celebration of the completion of Umbrella's over seas project and the T-Virus. This will also give the CEO of Umbrella the opportunity to kill two birds with one stone testing the T-Virus and killing any witness to the project. This will explain why the mansion was filled with zombies and bizarre murders in the outskirts of Raccoon city. Roll title and credits with news reports and newspaper articles of bizarre murders and missing people. Part 2 Bravo team in a helicopter heading to the outskirts of Raccoon city. When suddenly engine trouble, causing them to make an emergency crash landing. And then suddenly monsters start coming out of the woods a Hunter completely kills the pilot causing the rest of them to make a run for an abandon train near by. Then suddenly their surrounded by monsters on the train. Top view over the train slowly panning out showing flashes from gunfire screen goes black. Part 3 Alpha team is quickly being mobilized after receiving Richard's distress call showing them grabbing their gear but not showing their faces yet. After lining up on the helipad a shot of Wesker's boots walking down the line informing Alpha team in the situation Bravo team is currently facing. Camera movies up showing all of Alpha teams 80's/90's style battle ready faces. After boarding the helicopter the movie then follows the Nintendo GameCube RE version with back and forth between Chris and Jill. The final battle should show Chris, Jill, Barry and Rebecca fighting their way through the undead making there way to the roof after setting the C4 charges in the lab. And they should all kill the Tyrant together as a real S.TA.R.S Team after killing the Tyrant and boarding the helicopter they fly back to Raccoon city into the sun set surviving the horror...for now. Roll end credits. After credits 3 months later shows a jeep driving into Raccoon city. Then suddenly stops in front of a body lying in the street lower shot of a person's boots walking toward the body than kneeling down camera pans up showing Leon "what the hell?" In the far backround shows zombies coming out of the dark into the street light screen goes black...end.

This is better than what I had.
Bruce Campbell as Barry and Ted Rami as **many** zombies/crimson heads/ Lisa Trevor.
YES
That sounds great
Sam Raimi really make good cheese scenes that don't feel out of place
I'm not a casting director, nor a professional screenwriter, so I'm just having fun writing something that doesn't use an actor's performance as a crutch.
update: he does. he gets barry's characterization.
@Jazzy Blade nah, he can wear it cause it makes him look cool
turning rebecca into a bad ass, what a developement
will offend the culture war vloggers though. LOL
I’d legitimately be down for an RE movie like your idea. Great video!
"If the point was to collect combat data, why did you leave them in a cell"
To collect combat data against the Tyrant in particular. 👀
Honestly, your version or idea. Is what the RE movies should've been in the beginning

@@blakeharris58 How So? He's an escaped 'convict' who was framed for killing innocents
That just goes to show how easy it is to adapt Resident Evil to a movie or a TV show, but yet, no one seems to be able to do it 🤷🏻♂️
When you first said *Horror Comedy* I was imagining Evil Dead 2 style of comedy stuffed into Resident Evil
But your idea is way better then what I was thinking
I wouldn't make a movie, but a series instead. My perfect blueprint for screenwriters would be like this:
Season 1 - 1950s - 1980s
- Trip to West Africa + Spencer having flashbacks from his trip in Romania.
Season 2 - 1990 - 1998
- Affairs and corruption in Raccoon City Hall, their ties with Umbrella.
- Formation of S.T.A.R.S. + how they worked on their daily routines.
- Alyssa Ashcroft backstory from RE: Outbreak; Arklay Hospital incident (1993).
- Background story of Chris Redfield, Barry Burton and Jill Valentine.
- Outbreak in Training Facility and Spencer Mansion (May-June 1998)
- Events of Resident Evil 0, but reworked (July 1998).
- Events of Resident Evil 1, also reworked at some points.
- Wesker's "revival" and escape from the Spencer Mansion (Umbrella Chronicles)
- Survivors of the S.T.A.R.S. team confronts Chief of Raccoon Police Department, then their unit get disbanded.
- Introduction of new character - Kevin Ryman.
Season 3 - 1998
- Destruction of Raccoon City.
Season 4 - post Raccoon City era (1998 - 2004)
- Events of Code Veronica X, reworked at some points.
- Umbrella Trials, ex-Umbrella employees: Linda Baldwin and Yoko Suzuki testifies against their former bosses.
- Caucasus lab incident.
- Foundation of BSAA.
Omg yes. This felt as good as watching a proper adaption lol please give us a sequel
If I made a resident evil film, I'd focus on the horror of the series. That you can run into death around any corner. The story would surround a mystery that is uncovered during the film. I wouldn't make an action flick with references to the games.
I’m literally in love with this rendition and the character development you gave to everyone.
Ah! This one gets it.
The only way I can see them pulling off having 1 & 2 in the same movie is just shifting the timeline of events slightly.
So in the movie Raccoon City has already succumb to the T Virus and S.T.A.R.S are sent to investigate the reported origin of the virus in the Spencer Mansion, that way it can switch between tense and atmospheric in the mansion and more action and thriller in Racoon City
Only problem I can see with that is it loses much of the mystery of Alpha team uncovering the mystery of the mansion.
That actually sounds like a pretty cool idea, tbh. It's very different but it's still true to the spirit of the original games.
you just predicted to the reboot now
I'd love to see show your version of a sequel
You should do RE2 and nemesis I’m interested in seeing how well you can do these. This was good I like your version
I feel like the remakes of 2 and 3 are actually well done enough cinematically that I wouldn't change that much beyond making the A and B playthroughs of 2 work better narratively and make sure 3 has more character moments with Jill and Carlos--oh and making Nemesis more of a threatening presence.
@@VladyO There is no RE2 and RE3 remake, plus they ain't canon but you should do it: ua-cam.com/video/QCG5UkJ1hgw/v-deo.html
@@giovannigiovanni.7220 Mans out here trying to act like Remake and Reimagine me different things and not a synonym of each other.
I heavily agree so much.
Those storyboard drawings are hilarious and amazing^^ And the premise of that video is gold^^
Love the backround music
I like your ideas. Well thought out. I’d only really like to try and keep it a horror as much as possible as I remember it being terrifying when i was younger, but I do get your points that it may be hard with the story anyway.
I just hope the reboot would accurately portray the plot, tone and atmosphere of the games
We can all hope, even if it's not a 1:1 portrayal.
Good video and great concept. I like how you incorporated the monster from Zero. 🤘
I like the way you streamlined the story of the game. I also wish they were just going to focus on one game instead of cramming them into the same movie
I like the idea of this! I really like how you would start the beginning too
Damn bro great video. You’re an asset to the RE community
Make it kinda like Evil Dead 2
Ron Peralmen - Barry
Chris Evens - Chris
Miley Alcock - Jill
Mads Milkinsin - Wesker
You should make a similar video for a Resident Evil 2 movie! I loved this video, I've seen it twice now. I wish they could put you in the charge of the script next time they inevitably reboot the series again!
Oh wow, I didn't expect to see this blow up! Thank you everyone for your kind support.
See this would be perfect!!! Someone give this dude a multimillion dollar budget!!

@@Reimagined-T-001 More awesomeness!!!
This has so much heart! Now I wish you could make it.😢
the film we needed. I would take inspiration from zombi for the gore and feel of the zombies and environment
Chris Redfield needs to blow Tyrant up with a rocket launcher at the Helipad, other than that, your story is spot on.
M Night would be perfect I think. multilayered horror story that twists into a convoluted supernatural sci fi action thriller.
If you want to make a better RE1 adaptation, base it off the books.
They're so much better.
I don’t think Jill and Leon should ever ever meet.
loved the tyrant and lisa confrontation idea!!
Having watched this video & seeing WTRC, I’m doing a rewrite. The characterization of Rebecca being the biggest inspiration for it.
I honestly feel like the best way to do the old resident evil games justice as a live action would be more of a tv show
i'm kind of seeing jenna ortega as rebecca chambers. a rookie who gets traumatized by her experiences and ends being the more survivalist type from her experiences the night before.
Lol
Now that I watched the whole video I stand by my previous statement.
So basically your version of an RE movie lies somewhere between Shaun of the Dead and Evil Dead 2. I love it!
If I would make a Resident Evil movie, I would probably take a lot of inspiration from the S.D. Perry Books. Those books already went with the trouble of giving each character a backstory and personality, and honestly they are... Fun books.
They are fun books, but like... Wesker's really weird.
Resident evil movies are quite hard and would take a lot of budget but I like your ideas
Honnestly the first movie should be loosely based on the book by S.D. Perry
Me: just watched "Resident evil: welcome to raccon city," Hey! He just described the whole intro.
Coming back to watch this again just because we will never get anything this good lol
Movie starts like a murder mystery, star’s investigating the murders in the arkley mountains, eventually stumbling on to the mansion and the movie changes into a horror like from dust till dawn did.
Having Lisa Trevor help fight the Tyrant is an awesome idea!
I want to see a scene where Chris and her run into zombified versions of her comrades and she freezes up and starts to have a severe mental breakdown when Berry and Jill show up and save them at the last second.
very interesting, I think animation would be even better for this story as medium, things can be exagrated in lots of cool ways.
do 2 and 3 too
Agreed.
Awesome video dude!
Imagine Anthony starr as alebert wesker
Interresting idea. Though don't buff Rebecca too much.
Best story adaptation was by S.D Perry with her book "The Umbrella Conspiracy" perfectly bringing the game to life. They should base any movie from her books.
interesante propuesta, arriesgado hacer pelear a Lisa Trevor contra Tyrant. Pero bastante emotivo seria su relacion con Rebecca.
Barry's children did not like his dad jokes.
If that’s the direction you want to take Barry, only one man can play him; Bruce Campbell. 😎
My guess is that it will be RE0 and RE1 combo. I'd like to see Billy as an abducted captive that was scheduled for experimentation but interrupted and saved by STARS as they work to escape the horrors. If it is successful then the next movie should be RE2+RE3 in Raccoon City with lickers, tyrants(including Nemesis), and the Umbrella Corps against RPD and STARS
Also since Billy was experimented on from their 1st movie, he then transforms into Nemesis for the 2nd
Fuck, I'd watch this!!! Thank you! ❤
After watching this movie it appears u were right
To much to fit into a short movie
Hello from the future. Welcome to Raccoon City was a garbage fire.
Bravo man bravo 👏 some get the man an award 🥇
To tell the truth the reboot will probably the best re film will every get when you compared it to the other 6, it'll probably be a meh film but a good re film
Maybe so, but I thought the same was going to be true for Assassin's Creed. It very much was not.
@@VladyO you got a point but only time will tell
@@VladyO the biggest opstical for the film is 1 how they going to put the both of these stories in most likely a 2hour 30 film and the 2nd problem is understanding the characters, it's kinda well known many re fan aren't happy about the cast, I don't care who play the characters only fear is the director doesn't know how the characters act
@@VladyO the only way I see them putting the story in 1 film is Claire still goes to raccoon City to find Chris to tell him yeah raccoon City is shit so leave, jill, Chris and wesker go to the mansion on the night we're raccoon gets taken over instead of the 6 month gap, Claire makes it to raccoon City goes to emmy diner see a zombie goes and leave to the rpd goes meets Marvin than Leon and then the plot for both the games plays and we cut to the both of them (Chris, Claire) bla bla bla jill stays or gets separated for re3, everyone leave raccoon City
P.s sorry if this incredible lengthy this is just in my opinion the only reasonable way this man can make a story for the film because he kinda got himself stuck between a rock and a hard place

Alien and The Thing are very serious and well-crafted movies with almost zero cheesy moments or breaks in the audience's suspension of disbelief unless you actively look for them.
A VIDEO GAME MOVIE)
Also the Tyrant’s remains should be uncovered by Umbrella and made into Nemesis giving Nemesis more weight as an Antagonist in some future sequel.
There should absolutely be a scene where they find a key card and Chris says “does anyone have room in their pockets for this?”
I'm kind of sad they never made George A. Romero
Rejected movie of RE1 but given in that one Chris isn't a part of S.T.A.R.S and he's just Jill's boyfriend that lives on a ranch in the Arklay Forest and get the first hand view of what the virus does to the wildlife and basically sneaks into the mansion following the S.T.A.R.S members would be too far from the games...Well it would be more close to the games than what we got.
But recycled it would make a great side movie of a civilian's perceptive of the outbreak like well the game Outbreak but in the Arklay Forest where it all started
RIP Romero
Fantastic.
I agree w homeboy
It's fun.
“Rebecccaaaaaaaaaaa” 😂😂😂
I think the guy who played Kano in the new Mortal Kombat movie should be Barry.
Me gusta. You should make that movie.
Now that is a movie
That would be a pretty awesome way to direct that movie
I'm attempting to adapt Resident Evil 1 in screenplay format. It is hard to adapt it. No one has ever successfully done it, ever.
Awesome Video
If it weren't for the resident evil movies we'd never have had the movie the big short
i would support that script hands down better than what they did before
Hey Vlad, can I call you vlad?
