This is a very good move, processing raw material to get full value chain. Make sure money received is not wasted

Laudable achievement, but we should go a bit further to actually manufacture lithium battery in Nigeria. We have the rubber plantation in Edo, Ondo states that can produce rubber case for battery.

Lithium found in Nasarawa should be for Nasarawa same Gold found in Zamfara is for Zamfara. ❤

Your excellency sir, we have companies that produce electric cars in Nigeria like Innosson,Quadcycle Automobile,VoltaEV,TOUR Drive NG,HELLOBIKEE and TREKK SCOOTERS. Please don't export the Lithium concentrate and the carbonate but FDI should be attracted to have their factories in Nigeria to benefit for the whole value chain of this factories. Invite companies like Huawei, Tesla and Franklin batteries etc to off-take the products of the Lithium ore. Other industries that can spring up are fine chemicals industries and electroplating/wire production.

Lithium discovered yet the Chinese are the ones mining it not Nigerian government, how does this make any sense? All the talk of no more exporting raw material but the Chinese are doing exactly that. They obviously don't produce any product in Nigeria using the lithium,it has to be exported to china in raw state.4,000metric tonnes daily yet they only pay 150 million dollars a year. Why is the lithium Nasarawa state only? States should drill, refine and sell their crude oil then and pay tax to federal government.l don't get it.

In 20th century we should not be talking about value added alone, but processing the products. Processing to produce the batteries, produce solar panels.

Lithium is raw material just as oil which Nigeria has never known how to use for its betterment. But the minds of 230 million people are rendered to waste due to lack of use for any meaningful production. Look inwards rather than outwards for your development. But as usual, foreigners have more than 90% and bread crumbs as your portion.

He avoided talking about the Chinese investors. What kind of return do they expect on their investments? Whom will control plant operations Nigerians or Chinese? I believe that the Chinese will use the cheaper lithium from Nigeria in the production of their own Electric car market. Who will be employed in the plant Nigerians or Chinese?
