  • It is unrealistic that the government is offering N48,000 as minimum wage; a typical Nigerian worker is living a life of slavery.

Nothing about the minimum wage demand by Labour should be hard for the government. Besides, the government of Bola Tinubu wrecked the Nigerian economy FLAT-OUT, and totally diminished the purchasing power of the average Nigerian. So, how is it wise government are changing cars in the billions, house renovations in the billions, Hajj in the billions, Taxing the masses in the billions, ruining the FX in the billions, fuel increase in the Trillions, education ruined etc and you think the masses are made of plastic!!! We will all meet the graveyard someday, and not a coin will join your grave!!!

Makes we wonder why anyone wants to lead us as a people...we can be ignorant spreading misinformation. Do you think it is only the Fed Govt that is paying the minimum wage? I remember before PBAT got it, everyone was complaining about the percentage of revenue used to service loans. Nigerians like you forget so easily.
Argentina is there as a reference, and Ghana was literally begging for loans. Did the Govt say everything will be great and perfect? Nope, but we need to pass a reset stage. I am sure you want crypto nation to continue, dollarization and buying of dollars at CBN and selling at the black market. Please MR OPINION, give us what the recipe should have been and stop complaining.
Private Sector and State Govt cannot pay high minimum wage. Labour should mandate all states invest in x number of housing units, x number of buses, x number of health care centers and schools...then promote social services that will minimize the need for high minimum wage. US minimum wage is $1160 per month at $7.25 for a full time job. You cannot even pay monthly rent with that in urban centers. So Govt pays for subsidized housing, foodstamps, invest in public schools and social services....including electricity, health insurance (Medicaid), water bill support and in some cases...internet for low income households.

The people negotiating minimum with NLC can they survive N48k a week? They steal tens of millions of Naira every month without putting in anything. They travel abroad every month and their families locate abroad and these expect Nigerian workers to die labouring. These people in power running Nigeria are heartless

This government of Bola Tinubu does not fear the people of Nigeria. That is why they are turning Nigerians into SLAVES with N45,000. The people of Nigeria must find a way to make this government respect them.

Why are Nigerian workers looking for more money ? Tinubu is doing what Nigerians voted for him to do. He has giving them darkness, hunger, poverty, no security, increase in cost of petrol etc and his greatest achievement to date, he is going to spend 90 billion on people going for hajj and steal pension funds from the people. This is not only ‘EMILOKAN’ he has added IYA LOKAN.

The problem with NLC is their executive arm made up of people who lack knowledge about, how to break down the cost of living in Nigeria 🇳🇬 nationwide in all states. Why not provide statistics that shows how to justify your own minimum wage of N54,000/mth? Shouldn't it be much higher in the first place? 🤔

And they should use the low minimum wage government is proposing as a way to fire up the anger of the Nigerian people towards their selfish leaders.

This is what id giving me issue. These analysts keep on telling us that this govt embark on economy reform but they cant explain what they mean by reform they are talking about. Is Sen Sheu refers to subsidy removal as economy reform? Devaluation of naira as economy reform. What benefit we masses tend to derive from these policies. Govt have stopped payment of subsidy and devalue naira which have subjected we masses into untold harship, how much is our debt profile now? When Jonathan began his reform its we masses who suffer for it. Buhari came and start his reform its same we masses suffered. This Tinubu reform is even the worse.
