    Lots of content creators forcing content about this game. This channel is one of the few that isn’t doing that bare minimum of reading patch notes and dev comments with hardly any original input. Appreciate your ability to read between the lines and the effort you put into discussing the nuances of the game. 👍🏼

      Watch again. Gameplay footage is following what he is talking about. I’ve caught a few other videos of his that have been informative as well. I’ve got a personal philosophy that every once in a while when someone is doing a decent job, a little praise is warranted. Especially in an environment that can oftentimes be overwhelmingly negative. The kind of environment where one person saying something positive to someone else evokes a negative feeling in someone else.

    about the bile titans i honestly never had this problem. they die or bareley not from an orbital railcannon or 500kg and they can be easily damaged by other bugs like chargers but never have i felt like a titan was OP, gotta say i dont like using the railgun even pre patch

    I would gladly run EATs if there wasn’t 3 modifiers that messed with stratagems all the time on higher hazards.

      I absolutely hate the mix strats. It has no rhyme or reason.
      If it JUST swapped around the inputs for what called what then you could at least learn what you need to put in for that particular mission....but no IT RANDOMIZES it. And on higher difficulties you NEED to have the strat you picked or your gonna die, especially against the bots

      Just look on the left side of the screen and see which stratagem the code selected and then cancel it and do the stratagem code for the item it scrambled with. It changes per game but once you know the scramble it’s consistent for the rest of that match.

If it JUST made the game as easy but in a different way, at least I could play in the hard difficulty, but no, it makes the game more DIFFICULT! It serves no purpose but to make the game more boring to me, even though it's personal opinion and no one is forcing me to play it in those difficulties! 😂 this is how you sound to the world, like a crybaby.

    I think that "tanky" bile titan is related to something that i noticed myself a while ago, due to one specific scenario that i often find myself in, that caused one bug (get it? bug) to appear pretty consistently. The specific bug that i am talking about is when charger rushes you and you shoot their leg off with EAT, there is an occassion when charger will play stagger animation, therefore stop, but on host side he would still rush at you, because your hit wouldn't register on host side, so armor will break, stagger animation will play, you will stop to shoot the charger and in this instance charger will slide toward you and hit you with normal slam attack (that is often lethal).
    My theory is that game has a very wonky netcode that heavily compensates for desyncs, to make game appear seamless. And for most part you wouldn't notice any issues. But in some specific situations it appears that if your shot was too tight and ping just a little bit high, when on your side it registers as a hit, on host side your shot is completely misses the mark. So when server readjusts for both players, reality becomes somewhere in the middle - armor will break, charger will stop, but then he will be put into possition where he was suppose to be if you missed, so he does next best things and just hit you with melee. Same goes with bile titans - it might be that your shots hitting legs, body, whatever other parts of a titan that isn't head.
    I also noticed that in some games it's a lot harder to survive against the swarm, as if they hit you with a greater accuracy and in other games i walk from heavy outpost unscathed, which also sees to be related to syncing with host, because bugs may be hitting your body from host perspective and then hits get registered on you to prevent desyncing.
    PS5 host may not be too crazy of a theory, because folks be running on wi-fi most likely, which isn't particulary stable connection.

      Happens with hellpod drops too, you go straight through and doesn't register any dmg.

    With this fix they snuck in a change where you can replenish spear ammo with regular ammo packs. It’s great because you can now use it to help with chargers as well without feeling like you wasted ammo while also having the ability to be the guy to take out bile titans!

      This, 100% this. I used the spear last night and it still C L A P S Chargers and Titans. It can be a bit weird for lockon, but so good.

    Arc thrower is definitely one of the best in game only struggling against elites but even then it can still kill every elite in the game, it just makes bug breaches a joke

      ​@@ShinJoey yeah the arc thrower is the easiest gun to accidentally kill your teammates with, I swear it likes to arc to teammates more than bugs so you can't really blame them too much

      I love the arc thrower, but the only time I've seen it do a quad arc was because it wanted to hit two bugs on different sides of the extraction because it had a nice short path chaining between two of my teammates.

    The Reload speed of the Recoilles Rifle when you have a helldiver assisting is absolutely ridiculous. I highly recommed.

      Problem is I can’t have a shield with the ammo, just make the shield a built in so I don’t rag doll😂

      Yeah, except for the fact that one of your team doesn't have one of their own stratagem backpacks. The recoilless rifle is not good enough to justify that, IMO. That said, if you just do it temporarily, dropping your own pack for a temp use ammo pack then switching back after, I somewhat agree. I don't think that is as effective as just having multiple flamethrower, arc thrower, or lasers in your team.

      Before we had the shield pack my whole group used the recoilles we played individually but if it happened someone was close they would jump to assist load but I’m not confident it’s a good idea outside of both players having it

    I really want to see some fireproof or maybe even just fire resistant armor. Im tired of dying almost immediately from fire even at full health. Even with suits that have the extra stims and healing time its too fast how you burn(which is good) but i would expect to be given some protective equipment for my own weapons.

    Backpack fed weapons need to be reworked imo. Anyone should be able to reload a crew fed weapon from the backpack the operator is wearing. No one I've ever played with is willing to either sacrifice wearing their own backpack or experienced and coordinated enough to drop the backpack, call for crew, have someone run up and grab the pack, load you during fire, then switch back to their own pack. It just doesn't happen.

      It also makes more sense because the person assisting realistically would have an easier time grabbing the ammo from the shooters back rather than their own

      fully agree, if i'm carrying a pack someone standing being me shouldn't have any issues adding a round from my pack into the back of the weapon right next to that ammo.

      It's too tied to the helldivers 1 design choice though so I am not sure I agree with removing backpacks or anything like that.
      I don't really know what is stopping people from pairing recoilless rifles with each other etc.

    I have seen some comments that bile titqn from bug breach is less challenging than bile titan as objective. That would confirm your wariant theory

      Yeah I’ve noticed it takes one rocket pod or orbital rail shot to kill some bile titans. Others it takes like two shots. Those things are a bit too OP especially if you got four on your tail

      Not true at all, I'm on ps5 and before the patch. Whenever I was hosting 1-3 shots for a titan and when it was a computer player host 10-15-20+ shots

      @@DarthDabberyeah I’ve noticed it’s host dependent but it doesn’t mater PS5 or steam sometimes they are 2-3 shot other times 10+ shots. Typically when we notice we have another person host and we don’t have the issue

      I played yesterday and im pretty sure they fixed the elite spawn rates. Not nearly as many chargers and vile titans on difficulty 7-8.

    The bile titan objective definetly feel tougher than a breach titan. I'm not sure if this carries over to titans that were spawned on the map as well. But the objective titan tanks a lot more shots than a breached one.

      @@Breakingfasst88The Chargers for the kill objectives are usually labeled as Goliath Chargers and are slightly larger by a tiny amount and have a noticeable amount of extra armor. I have had 8 of these spawn in normal play with suicide and up difficulty, meaning not as a kill objective.
      I assume something similar happens for Bile Titans where they should be labeled as Goliath Bile Titan or something but the game is not doing so or people don't ping them to see the name? Possibly resulting in more armor or health.

    Love your content. Still no appreciation for the arc thrower? It feels like the best crowd control at higher difficulties. It chain kills the light armor and 2-4 shots the medium armor guys (which is easy if it’s chaining). 10 shots or so will kill most heavy armor. It never overheats, never explodes, etc. What everyone says about friendly fire is grossly exaggerated. I am half-brained and I go many games in a row on helldive without friendly firing the arc.

      The problem I have is as an AT main is I can kill everything but my teammates get in the area of my shot and I have to break my fire or cook them.

      @@donalddouds6033 in my experience as long as you don’t arc the last unit or have a teammate behind the arc target, it’s rare to hit someone. No exaggeration that I rarely do any friendly fire.

      Go and search some tip internet already, search for the tip to help you get through killing the teammate, many gun have explosion range are doing exact same thing (friendly fire) , ARC Thrower really good with Jump Pack, Shield Generator too , it has Infinite armo with the damage you all just doing it wrong:))) , just search the tip for that if you want to control the gun

    With the railgun you have to hit the bile titans in a very specific spot on their head in order to one tap them, but I’m pretty sure it must be fully charged on unsafe.

    The current rant situation about breaker, Railgun and shield gen is absurd. Most of those people never even bothered trying other stuff and are the same people who are toxic players who kick "non-meta" players who want to enjoy THEIR way of delivering sweet democracy.
    It's all rant and no proper feedback. Plus it hasn't even been 2 days yet. and worst is all of them only cry about chargers taking 1 more shot to the leg and titans somehow became an issue after they cannot no-brain one shot them. (Silly railgun out damaging an orbital railcannon.)
    Meanwhile railgun still shreds ALL of the automatons and 90% of terminids.
    Is it too much asked for to also look at many of the buffs and positive additions of this patch?
    Railgunners sobbing while Arc Thrower and FLAM-40 enjoyers blasting away. And welcome Laser Cannon enjoyers!

      while i agree on the overall only having med-pen on the default-railgun does genuinely mess with the anti-charger options.
      the fire rate of the railgun was effectively halved versus that ultra common group-wipe heavy armour battering-ram that spawns in squads of 2-6 at a time. That's a HUGE difference (tho not one as bad as all the crybabies are having obscene tantrums over)
      IMO having that land just as the armour ratings are fixed so most people are way slower (heavy armour is a ~20% loss in runspeed versus light) or way more fragile than previous (plus potentially/arguably an enemy faster-reinforcement-call-in activation/cooldown leading to way more frequent fights against seemingly endless swarms on all difficulties) has added an almost perfect storm of going from almost face-rolling enemies with the "meta build" to suddenly having to deal very differently with one of the most common roadblock/disruption enemies in the game that pawns in packs and also runs faster than any player-armour available.

    My biggest problem with their balancing philosophy is that when my entire team has to use multiple support weapons and strategems to take a down a single titan, it makes everything feel very weak. We'll burn so mant resources just to kill one, meanwhile there's still 7 more walking around.

      Orbital railcannon sometimes can oneshot them, if not just shot his weakpoints and he dies always worked for me.
      110 rocket pods 1-2 uses, shoot weakspots, done.
      Shoot him with a Spear when he is facing you to get a headshot kill.

      @@Abdoulaye1995ok, so that's 2-3 strats per charger, so what will you do about the other 1-5 chargers that spawned in alongside the now-dead one? you have a 100-240 second cooldown on all of those things mentioned, probably brought a support or backpack item so you are down to grenades and your 4th item, not a great spot versus 1-5 faster-than-light-armour battering rams with a pretty tight turning circle if you don't juke perfectly.
      railgun IMO is the wrong weapon for anti-armour it should be a semi-sniper but ALL the rest (excepting the newly buffed flamer) need to kneel to reload and require a backpack to kill LESS chargers than the "OMG the game is ruined" nerfed railgun STILL can (you just have to stand "still" for 1-2 more seconds per shot to do so). what the game needs is a method to strip any armour type via that armour itself having a health value rather than needing to bypass the armour and deal sufficient med/heavy-pen damage to the limb below to make the armour explode off.
      that way the railgun can go back to being the weakpoint delete the devs intended and harder-difficulty players have an anti-armour system that isn't a one weapon to rule them all de-facto best in slot.

      My group uses 110 eagles for titans and normally they are not an issue sometimes the eagles miss sure that’s annoying but when each person has 3 uses it’s not a big issue. Additionally the expendable is solid for taking them out 2 shots to the head drops them and when facing chargers hit the arm and 1 shot will blow the armor off

      @@IRMentat 2-3 strats per charger? Why? It's 1-2 per titan. You have support equipment for chargers. Flamethrower kills them in 2 seconds if you focus a single limb. In the end there is animation vulnerability bug you can exploit to kill them even with your side arm.
      You're not supposed to clear Helldive breach on you own. With at least 2 players bringing stuff like EAT, RR, Spear or Flamethrower armored bugs shouldn't be an issue as long as you keep chaff like hunters off them.

    When using the laser cannon in chargers aim for the inside of the front legs at the joint if you can’t get behind it. Was working fine for me yesterday.

    I think there is a "stronger variant" they need to make a unique coloring for the stronger variant. It'd give everyone pause and teams would change up tactics.

    The changes were great, now you actually get rewarded for engaging with the unsafe mechanic which makes for a lot of fun and increases the skill ceiling. Before you just felt like an idiot for bringing the eat17 or the recoiless with pre nerf railgun in the game. Same for the breaker, just as powerful but less convenient to compensate.

    I looooove the expendable anti-tank rocket. It comes back so fast and is criminally efficient in the right hands.

      @@noxiebobo Since you can call it in again so quickly, don't hesitate to use it on lighter armored enemies. If you're just starting a fight and it's all the normal automatons that you can easily gun down with your primary, it might not be a bad idea to save it for their dropship. Diving doesn't affect the accuracy much, so that's a pretty effective move for getting around tanks and hitting their weak spots.

      Yeah, wasn't a fan of having nerfs come through with obvious weapons that have no use didn't get touched.
      All of the primary rifles are just flat out worse than the other options. When SMGs do more damage... lol... there's definitely a problem.

    i feel so underpowered using the support weapons i thought they would bring everything up to rail guns level not bring everything down which made me realise i might not enjoy this game afterall, nothing worse then an armoured enemy, should of upped spawn rates for diffculty not nerfed fun ways of dealing with them

      I get that, its been rough trying to figure out new loadouts for bugs. I think part of it is we're so used to bullet sponge enemies from all these other games that when we run into something that has actual armor instead of a bigger health bar for "armor" purposes it throws us off. Hope you stick around but the games not for everyone, best of luck figuring it out

      you want everything to be able to 1 shot bile titans? wheres the difficulty? this game is SUPPOSED to be ridiculously hard, the game hasnt even been out for a month and people were already soloing the hardest difficulty, if you think its too hard stop playing the hardest difficulty, coordinate with your squad and dont take it so seriously

      Eh. I mean personally, 'Just shoot it from the front until it dies.' that was the Railgun strat wasn't a fun way of dealing with elites, imo.
      Upping the spawn rate of elites means you can't react to them as easily, and reacting to them effectively tends to be the best way to deal with them.
      Chargers? Make them run into cliffs and hit them in their unguarded areas.
      Stalkers? Chase them down and destroy their spawn asap.
      Bile Titans? Break out your big boy strats.
      Walkers? Grenade them, or clear a way to get in close and behind. Or teamwork.
      Hulks? Aim well, or use teamwork.
      Tanks? Teamwork, good use of terrain and/or big boy strats.

    Use an arc thrower and be prepared to be blown away at how fast u kill a bile titan (bile titan needs to be spewing bile) and destroy all chargers armor as well (side parts of armor)

    NO ARC THROWER LOVE? It's a heat sinking Weak Spot BEAST THAT CHAINS LIGHTENING! Most people use it wrong. You ONLY HAVE TO FULL CHARGE THE FIRST SHOT, every shot after that is a short charge. If you miss or during downtime START WITH FULL CHARGE THEN BACK TO SHORT CHARGES. FRIENDLY FIRE AND HOW IT WORKS W/ THIS GUN: The gun AUTO TRACKS WEAK SPOTS! So in most cases this means the "Arc" will exit the REAR OF THE ENEMIES IN A 45 DEGREE CONE. If you are trying to fire at Enemies surrounded by a Teammate, I'd recommend shooting at the sides of the ENemies on the outer Circle first, after a couple of shots if they still need help, switch to Primary and focus the middle bugs. IF YOU CAN GET ON HIGH GROUND (HALF THE HEIGHT OF A TITAN) IT WILL HIT ALL 3 WEAK POINTS (MOUTH AND BOTH BELLY WEAK POINTS)

    I honestly think the rail gun unsafe mode is bugged or something. I was using even before changes and it never performed as well as safe mode. Idk that's just my experience with it though. I've switched back to autocannon cus its just so good and versatile

      Yes but the reality is. That skilled squad play is a minority group.
      Forcing people to find static squads to play the whole game will eventually lead to a significant drop in player count.
      Ofcourse we like to think everyone is playing with their friends in a well coordinated group that will just never happen. Casual gamers make up too much of the gaming space. So balancing a game for team tactics and team play only will just make the casual player base leave. Unfortunately this will happen. Unless they balance it for all players. A solution would be to make easier content with higher rewards, but then make very difficult content for the hard-core players with even higher rewards. Yes that somewhat exists now but it could be balanced better

    The nerf is not as annoying as people gaslighting about the nerf, like saying the railgun was nerfed only on safe mode where unsafe takes 3 to 4 shots to pop the charger leg armor when it was just 2 shots pre patch, unsafe was definitely nerfed too.

      I just unlocked the railgun yesterday so I can’t say anything one way or another on it but I did see another content creator saying that it no longer penetrates the armor of a lot of automatons in safe or unsafe mode at all so that seems like a issue I’d have with it but my main issue with this update is the changes to the blitz eradicate or whatever to kill x amount of bugs, that made the bugs have way more spawns and the challenge require way more kills and it’s probably 3x as hard now and again that’s not even considering the railgun since I just unlocked it

      It's pretty unusable against bugs now. Only played a few games, but seems to take a minimum of 4 charged shots to break a charger leg. Very unsatisfying

      Its just easier now to walk up to them and cook them with the flamer

      "against enemy durable parts" it's literally in the patch notes. That's what makes it a skill gun. You hit the soft weak spots like you should be and it's just as strong as it was before.

    7:20 I respect the helldives but this here is not a very convincing example of using the laser cannon against the hulks that shoot rockets.
    Your mate N2 here was already trying to laser this hulk down and he got, of course, killed by the hulk, and you needed to step in to finish the job. It doesn't really look like it kills it anywhere quick enough. Especially if you are considering playstyles. What if I am trying to be more stealthy, and inevitably at some point, once in a blue moon forgive me lord have mercy on my democratic soul, I get caught with 10 bots and 2 hulks on my ass.
    The laser cannon doesn't seem to be the type of thing that I can quickly dispatch to cover my ass. I uninironically think throwing a tesla tower and an autocannon for cover easily beats anything that the laser cannon could do. Bring the slugger for interrupting rocket devastators and the chainsaws, and I think it's pretty solid.
    I don't think the laser cannon seems viable compared to just running the above, plus say, a rail cannon strat. But who knows, maybe venting them with the laser cannon could be viable, I'll at least give this a go.

    PSA: aim for the charger front legs with the flamethrower and it melts in a third of the mag. It feels super cheesy, but it’s essential when there are like 4 or 5 of them charging you down

    The EAT is clutch in automatons. Got a bit drop, EAT. Got a hulk, EAT. Got a tank, EAT. Got an enemy rail canon, EAT.
    I guess the same could be said for the bugs.

      issue with the bugs is the chargers start to spawn in packs and REQUIRE anti-heavy, that's 4-5 ACCURATE anti-heavy shots needed every 60-90 seconds if you are on an objective or stuck in an enemy reinforcement loop (each new wave arrives a little faster than you can kill off the previous one)
      bots are more consistently light/medium-pen on all their quick-kill glowy-red weakpoints (or hips/legs with the regular gun for anything that's not a walker/hulk) so only really the turret or tanks demand the biggesr stuff.
      OTOH bots get to 1-shot rocket you from the horizon then death-loop you as you are forced to spawn without a means to counter their hulk/walker rush until you recover a support weapon.

    NGL the EAT doesn't get enough love. it's actually worth casting the thing on cooldown to spread throughout the map (and around objectives especially) as it's biggest single issue is you only get 2 shots per 70 seconds.
    Now imagine the path to the extract and any major objective is littered with 4-5 call-downs waiting to be grabbed, paradise.
    Also too many folks are over-focussing on solo style builds and not-dropping packs and support weapons after their cooldowns refresh, that's 1-4 extra slots that could be used in the team towards EMS, rocket/AC-turrets, eagle-strikes/clusters/500kg, death-rays, orbital-rails or even the not so humble precision orbital or 380m for softening up those harder to break places (it's still not an area-clear but it'll take out on average half the nests in it's 75m radius of attack.
    4-5 blue strats per-team is all you really need as long as you run when surrounded rather than treat every fight like Custers last stand.
    In terms of the laser beam, did you try aiming for the "2-shot AMR spot"? the upper hip/shoulder actuator next to the pilot-nest?

    So two things I will add to the conversation:
    1st, the Spear, calling out the target with Q (sorry, I'm exclusively a PC player) so the ping and "elite" callout is made, increases the lock on rate *AND* makes lock on a bit more consistent, though you still may have to jiggle it a bit.
    2nd) I can't speak for Bile Titans, but I do know there are at least 2 different versions of the Charger I have met, and one version is a lot more armored, as it tanked a railcannon orbital *AND* a full orbital laser before going down. It also had a different armor look, with the head having a piece of armor that jutted out, looking almost like an ax head, in addition to thicker limbs.

    I've seen some comments saying Grenade Launchers can kill Chargers but I'm doubting it. I've emptied a few clips on them and they aren't dropping, so I'm wondering if they popper the weakspot and just waited for the to bleed out, or the comments were from people that dealt with a de-armored charger that their teammate just left for them.

      They do not, I’ve been playing this game since it came out, only thing that was killing chargers was the rail gun and some stratagems. These mfs who have been playing for a few days got no idea wtf they are talking about.

Its a skill shot on the back of its legs after it charges, but if you hit the shot it dies in 2 to 3 shots.The first shot breaks its armor enough for the auto cannon to just unload into that leg. I haven't unlocked helldive yet but I play on 7 fairly consistently and its very satisfying to pull off.

      ​​@@LoneRejectI am sorry but apparently you don't know what you're talking about. It is absolutely possible to kill a charger with the grande launcher but not very reliable though. I have close to 200h in game and almost exclusively play with the nade launcher. You can kill them bouncing grenades underneath their belly. Works with regular grenades or with the launcher. Especially when the charger lifts up with its front two legs a grenade can one shot them at times. Seems very inconsistent though.

To say ur gonna have a squad of people who will bring the right shit into the match every time is fucking insane. Most of this game is played by solo people.

    Im really not shure why there ist a rumor of PS5 Titans are easyer to kill . I Play in PS5 since the third day of Release on Helldive difficulty and the Titans we're always very inconsistent in the amount of shots they take to kill . Almost as If there ist a hiden crit Stat in the guns.

    I played with a PS5 player yesterday (he hosted) and my arc thrower was literally ripping armor off of bile titans. This is a real thing and not just limited to the rail gun. I wish I had recorded it because I thought they had buffed the arc. Next time I went in solo, and I couldn’t touch the titan with it. Took a very long time to drop.

    Nice to see the laser cannon. I tried it with the shield generator and it’s good for giving you time to line up the shot on the hulks head and not get deleted. Also saved my team quite a few time

    IDK if you noticed, but tanks have variations for the automaton side that is plainly visible. At times, tanks can spawn with armor plating on the vents, preventing direct damage on the weak spot.
    It isn't radical to think that the bugs have the same when it comes to bile titans, and I have noticed some armor like a helmet on some versus others. It's noticeable between suicide and impossible as an example.

      I saw a "stronger" tank type also had a quad-mount anti-air "ZSU style" turret.
      it still only took an eagle strike to nail it but for a moment the thing had me utterly locked down behind a rock.

    i hope they add vehicles and the exosuits soon. and i really want the ability to customize the type of my super destroyer. change it to a carrier with more eagle capacity or a freighter with extra robotic stratagems or an escort carrier that extends mission timer or more reinforcements, or a battleship that has increased orbital capabilities at the cost of airstrikes or sth. so much design space. would love to be able to customize that!

    I think there's a crit stat, or random health pools with enemies. I know there are actually different variants of chargers and bile titans, and where your shots land matter a LOT. I play on PS5, and I typically start my own matches, and I've seen differences in health pools myself. I don't think it's a PC vs PS5 thing at all, idk where that even came from. Its obvious we're sharing the same game,same lobbies, same everything. Its something else within the game, probably a combination of all the things ive mentioned.
    I've found the arc thrower to be extremely versatile. It can kill any enemy on the field. It takes time to master, and can take several shots, but give the arc thrower a chance for awhile, see what you think

    Both chargers and bile titan have heavily armored variants. Those are usually around big nests, and will count towards boss kills at the end of the game.

      it can still heavy-pen but it's fire-rate has effectively been halved to maintain the same effect as previous.
      It was always seemingly intended to be an AMR alternative by the devs failed to give players sufficient heavy-pen/armour-break options for higher difficulties so the railgun became (and still is) the only way to get 3-6 chargers off the board using a single weapon (no backpack, no kneeling-reload, no lock-on).
      only now it takes twice as long and you'll get surrounded if you have any aggro possibly also over-charging killing yourself and destroying the weapon.
      TBH a nerf was warranted (i'd have hit the default-damage values not the damage AND held the heavy-pen to overcharge) but the devs should have brought up the other heavy-pen weapons a little to compensate as the railgun became the de-facto standard for a pretty obvious reason (chargers) ~6.5 kills railgun, 2 EAT, 1+5 recoilless (kneel reload + pack), 1+3 spear (kneel, pack, lock-on). flamer can anti-charger okayish now (50-75% tank per kill, 5 tanks total) which does help, but the tantrum folks are too busy hyper-ventilating to adapt.

    So I've pretty much mastered the Bile Titan takedown.
    You need to pop their green belly abdomen.
    Once the underside is blown out, orbital railcannon, 500kg, spear, or a few railgun shots will obliterate it.
    I've become a LOT less afraid of titans recently due to this strat.

    2:20 I've seen chargers missing half their bodies (both side plates and legs missing armor) and they still go strong killing teammates when they should have died many times over. I've also seen Bile Titans tank two hellpods dropping onto. I don't know what's going on with Bile Titans but chargers feel like it's more to do with their bleed out mechanic just making them immortal. Honestly idk but happens very frequently.

    All my least favourite weapons got nerfed, all by favourite weapons got buffed (I pick my favourites in fun to use factor, not stats). The Breaker was literally a point and kill weapon, no rough combat whatsoever, the railgun didn't have a skill factor to it. Now all I need is the Arc to get a buff to make finding one feel special.

    Went in lastnight with the punisher and flamethrower against the bugs. Absolutely in love with that loadout now. Plenty of CC and enough damage to not worry about chargers too much. Also really enjoying the 380 now. Not sure it’s going to replace the air strike in my usual loadout but it’s definitely usable now

    I wish they buffed the "Anti Material Rifle" like a HIGHER ZOOM for longer range sniping and the dot it self should be a tiny dot in the middle right now its a big circle in the middle. And a bit more armor penetration + slight damage buff. A bit off topic also the "Jump Pack" is a bit lackluster give it a HIGHER jump and be able to fire and turn around while jumping or allow for a hover for 3 seconds with a added bonus temporarly a shield (only when jumping). Great work as usual my go to for gaming tips! Watched your Elden Ring tutorials liked it very much!

    YES I host on ps5 and I’ll have my PC players join me. They will be able to 2-3 shot kill a bike titan while I’m pumping in 10-15 shots with no effect. There is definitely something up with ps5 vs PC damage in how strong the railgun is.

    Was playing with random squad we all had auto cannon turrets totally obliterated an army of bile titans and hord, was awesome to see.

    Hi. Veteran HD player here. The community at large has a single problem; their approach to the game. This isn't a looter. It's not a shooter. It's not a mobber. It is a strategy game. It is a 3rd person version of a tabletop game. Imagine the board game Risk. This is the type of game you are playing. You're not rambo. You're not the main character. You're a basic mob. You are part of the package, not the present. This is total war. We dont need rambo. We need basic guys, filling a roll, to benefit everyone.
    The actual meta to this game will always be TEAM PLAY. weapons and equipment will not have a meta, as each has their own purpose and place.
    An example. The breaker. It's labeled as "best in slot." But you're using it to clear light enemies.It's meant for medium to low tier heavy enemies. You dont have the ammo capacity to use it for every single enemy you come across. But you are. But. The scythe isn't meant for high tier medium enemies and above. It is light to low tier medium add clear with infinite ammo. It serves a roll. If someone takes that roll and builds around the roll of light to medium clearing, the scythe suddenly becomes the go-to above other current weapons. But the "meta" crowd has it labeled as trash and not viable.
    There are still dozens of weapons, stratagems, & boosters to come. The ability to upgrade those things. Higher sample types. Difficulty levels (If you think helldive is hard, wait till you are chewed up and spit out by lvl 15- inner circle of hell) and more.
    Weapons and equipment are all tools meant to fill a roll. They are all viable in their own way if used accordingly. In a build. With a team. Working together.
    People are going to start finding this out soon enough. Content creators can make their tier lists and tell people what the "meta" weapons are, but those will get shredded as difficulty progresses and mission types evolve. The meta will become TEAM load outs. Your roll in that team. Not specific weapons or equipment. Those loadouts will change. You will see every type of weapon. Stratagem. Grenade. All of it. Everything has a place and use.
    The current community outrage proves that very point. You want a shield backpack because you die too much without it. Why? Because you are running into the thick of things like rambo. If you have a team with an add clear roll, you no longer need the shield. You no longer have to focus the small fry. That is someone elses job.
    You want to run the railgun. Why? Because it breaks armor easy? There are plenty of things that do that. But you dont use them. Because someone else said they were bad. Because 2 of your 4 slots are already taken, and you want something to handle the small fry. Something to handle area. To crowd control. You are hurting yourself. You are trying to play every roll. Trying to be rambo. You're not. You're not going to be. The game doesn't work like that. It isn't meant to be played like that. Start communicating. Working together. Instead of just trying to run off solo. You will find so many fun things to use. Different ways to play. If you took the time to read all of this, i hope it gives you insight. Maybe it even makes the game a little more fun. Happy hell diving.

    I'm actually having more problems with enemy damage. Was using medium armor before patch, still using it now, and getting 2-shot by hunters. Doesn't feel good, man.
    Stalkers are also a death sentence if you don't kill them from a distance. They instantly ragdoll you, and remove half or more of your health per hit, and if they knock you into another bug, then RIP.
    Automatons don't really seem changed for me.

    I think that rather than nerfing the strategic tools players use to meet objectives, you can:
    1.) Make the best weapons harder to get.
    2.) Buff other weapons to increase the number of viable builds in the game.
    3. Increase medium/light armor spawns and decrease the frequency of hard armor or vice versa.
    Solely nerfing never helps. I play games to kill shit and feel badass. Being challenging and being powerless are two different things.
    If I wanted to feel powerless all the time, I’d just go to my job.

    So about the bile titan, I as a PC player have hosted games in which both PC and PS5 players oneshot bile titans, that PS5 different damage thing is hot garbage. Since the only way to oneshot a bile titan is a very specific angle and it's so quirky, most likely it's a bug with the railgun possibly doing damage multiple times as it passes through just the right part of the bile titan's body. Latency and lag likely contribute to that in some way.
    As for good support weapons, I can't recommend the Anti Materiel Rifle enough for bots specifically, it's such a godly weapon for them, all devastators, scout striders and hulks are just fodder with it, headshots kill the devastators/hulks real fast and striders can just be blown up from the front. It is unquestionably a top tier gun right now but only for bots
    P.S. the devs said they forgot to add in the patch notes that the rocket weapons (EAT, recoiless, spear) no longer deal reduced damage to heavy armor, they got buffed significantly

    We should have upgrades trees for each stratagems eg.orbital can have More spread or less damage/ faster call time. The current upgrades are boring. I've basically quit playing coz there's no reason for me to farm . It's still fun with friends but once they unlocked everything it's also a dead game. Like damn they used to have more upgrades in their original. Almost every stratagem has 2-3 upgrades each
    The new mech has few weapon types to choose. Or add on movement abilities.Cockpit view. Shoulda been in there.

    How do we avoid meteors? Cuz on Trivial farming samples, I expended all my reinforcements and lost it all. I hid behind a rock, they were coming in at an angle. NOPE, died. Not fun. I have other games. Not about skill. I was doing hard alone. These devs learned nothing from the sins of Diablo 4 devs.

    I've had the same problem with chargers too, we had one glitch out and spawn continuously on death after about 10-20 seconds. Also IDK if anyone else has noticed but the bots seem extra punishing as of late, or perhaps that's only the OBJ planet for now.

    Hmmm how to balance the game... hmmm what to do... I know! Lets remove the railgun's ability to penetrate armor!
    With zero viable alternatives for breaking armor, making chargers near invincible if there's more than one, the game will be perfectly balanced! Everyone will love this patch!

    the ps5 bio titan vs pc bio titan is a hoax.
    They are identical in term of HP. The difference comes from the HIT registration from the client side of the host , ie lag.
    YOU think that you shot the titan , but the ps5 side did not because of weird loss of data. Then the bullet , which is a physical object in this game (!) is rolled back to where it should have been . But by that time , your bullet will be in multiple times in multiples hitboxes of the titan !!!
    So depending of the lag between you and the PS5 host , you bullets can hit multiple times in a row for no reason , sometimes bypassing the armor (i've killed a titan with +500 ms ping and a stalwart !).
    It's a host bug that gets better if the lag is minimal , but it seems the ps5 network is kinda shit to begin with.

    As for the variance of health for Titans, I read somewhere that the PC vs PS5 was proven to not be the factor. I believe there are 'variations' depending on the specific drop. In other games, they will share the stats and meta info but we know this is not their style in this game. In other games, we will get the info such as '150% enemy health' or 'spawn rates for enemies up 20%' which I feel as if they are here too, just not projected to us. This explains the randomness we feel vs enemies and situations and also why some lvl7+ drops feel different than others. Just my thoughts tho, idk.

    I can't speak entirely on Bile Titans as a solo player (PS5) but I have had just hunts here and there where a Rail strike won't kill, but it seems more like angle of attack where it's not a direct hit so much as (Quite literally) taking a chunk out of the side of a Bile Titan. As for Chargers there might be some potential differences as I've had ones go down in one Disposable AT shot to the leg. BUT, some of this when it comes to roaming enemies, might have had health degraded by environmental hits. And with Chargers if they hit enough terrain it seems like they do damage themselves each time.

    Im not sure how to feel about the nerf, because stratagems are pretty good at taking out heavily armored enemies, i dont know if any of these support weapons even tickle my fancy as something fun to use. The railgun deserved its nerf but they didnt bring enough changes to weapons to fill that power void left by the railgun.
    Now youre gonna have to lean on the jank physics and meta orbitals and eagles to deal with the 6 bile titans and 12 chargers that spawn in 7+
    The primary weapons are still bad, why does a SMG do more damage than A assault rifle with penetration, like that doesn't even make sense?
    Weird patch did a lot to break the games stability without fixing anything worthwhile except giving the flamer a pity buff and giving the laser cannon something it should've had day one.
    I'm not even gonna comment on the armor because it makes literally no difference anyways.

    Imo post patch as solo player (never tested spear)
    Bugs = breaker, railgun/arc thrower
    Bots = slugger, railgun/AC
    Charging railgun up to the last bracket still 2 shots a charger leg armor, and still (inconsistently) 2 shots a bile titan to the face

    the railgun-bile titan bug (or just something we don't know yet) is legit. i was testing it after patch, running a solo helldive and this titan took over 20 unsafe, highly charged railguns to the face and still didn't die. Don't know the reason why. But I've seen this with many different stratagems and weapons. A bile-titan taking 3 spear shots plus other hits to take down, another requiring railguns shots a 500k and a orbital railgun to kill. There's too much variation that we don't know which is why people say it's a bug. Whatever it is the bug variations need to be noticed if this is the case or the weapon damage consistency needs to be increased.

    Refreshing to see someone that encourages exploring alternatives and seeing how they compare to the new performance of the railgun instead of endless bitching about the devs bringing an over-performing kit in line with everything else.
    Its like there was a Formula 1 car participating in GT Racing and people are mad they took away the Formula 1 car instead of giving every other driver one instead. Is it more fun to drive the faster car and do things you otherwise couldn't? Sure, but Formula 1 is not the experience the devs want to deliver. The intended experience is GT Racing. Hope the analogy made sense.
    There is a difference between a meta were the best kit is 5% better than everything else and a meta where the best is 50% better than everything else. I think nerfs are warranted in the latter case. Go read the balance patch blogpost in detail. As an example, they explicitly called the breaker "overperforming" in the post.

    I still think "Best of" videos are the primary cause for so much community anger right now.
    Many gamers don't want to figure things out for themselves, they just want what the community decides is "the best", and use only that.
    So when it eventually gets nerfed, they cry, lol

    Stratagems are more important to me , Secondary weapons are found on planets , I find one and make it work. Or if you're working in a group , have someone drop theirs when they have a cool down so that everyone can have more stratagems.

    i'm playing on PS5 and having over 150 hours already, have never had one shot Titan, always it toke over 10 shots, but usually using stratagem.

    Crazy how so many bugs and glitches exist that make fighting big boss enemies more troublesome than they should be yet the first thing they decide to balance is nerfing all the good weapons

    My only critic about the devs right now is them coming out and saying your primary weapons are supposed to be weak. But that's not the issue players are having. The issue is there's onlya couple of viable choices. And making them all bad/nerfing the viable ones isn't the solution they think it is. All the not utilized primaries need a buff

    Just like Chargers. There are different variants of Vile Titans. The Flamethrower builds dps. So you have to focus the flame on the same spot to gain a multiplier. The spear can aim lock even when reloading. I think that is a bug though

    I can tell you that the Chargers definitely have a tougher variant. It's visibly different, and would take an extra 1 to 2 railgun hits (Depending on charge) to shatter the leg armor pre patch. With the bile spewers having a variant too, it's not out of the realm of possibilities to have a tougher Bile Titan variant.
