Hi Brittany! We're so honored to be apart of your hair journey! When using N°.0 and N°.3 as a two-part system, it is scientifically proven to have 68% more repair & 3x stronger hair! Thanks for sharing your wash day with us! ❤
I just tried this line thanks to you and I’m loving them both on my hair (shampoo and conditioner) ❤️❤️ Expensive but worth it . I want to try their other products!
Brittany, please don't apologize for taking all the steps you can to minimize hair breakage. I salute you for loving and caring for your beautiful hair. I have never used Olaplex but I think I should consider adding it to my routine.
Hi curlfriend! I use Olaplex 3 weekly with my wash day (I have color treated hair). No need to use Olaplex 0 and certainly no need to sit with #3 for 90 minutes!!! Take your shower while that's sitting in your hair and then move onto your 2nd wash. Here's my order: 1st wash (clean hair so treatment can absorb well), Olaplex 3, 2nd wash (moisture poo), then conditioner(s), styler(s). Hope this helps!
And sidenote....girl! Don't use that #3 in sections...you'll mortgage a house using that much product!! A couple of squirts should coat your entire head. That 3.3 oz bottle lasts me about 4-5 wash days....
Hey Camille! I actually didn’t use very much of the number three at all. I could get about six or seven more uses out of that bottle. I spent a lot of time working it into my hair so it may have looked like I was using a ton, but not at all. I feel like the sections are better for getting each hair strand coated personally. Thanks for sharing your order!
I've been using Olaplex #3 on my daughter's hair for about 3 months. I noticed an immediate change with her shedding, tangles, and dryness. It's helped me as well with my breakage as I was transistioning away from silk presses into wash 'n go's. My mom uses the same cleasning products cause we have the same issues. Note: we don't use the whole line, only #3 (my bank account can't handle that for 3 people) our shampoo and conditioner of choice is Mielle rosemary mint. For my kid I use Innersence gel because she has 3a/b texture. I use Mane Choice Biotin gel for my 4a hair. My mom loves Design Essentials. We all love our results so far.
I love that you are learning YOUR hair. As a fiver year natural, a few months ago i started listening to my hair instead of everyone else and my hair has been thriving. I love #3 and didn't really see a difference with 0 when I used it. I also noticed that if I use the shampoo without prepooing or without the #3 it dries out my hair.
You should also try K18, it’s just 1 product & you only have to let it sit for 4 minutes. My stylist recommended it to me when I had a hair setback in August!
Can't wait to see the WnG with the Camille Rose products.💜 I've used Olaplex for a couple of years. I only use No. 1 and No. 3 so I don't know anything about the rest of the line. I don't notice a huge difference when I don't use No.1, but it could be because I use it most of the time. So I'm not certain whether it makes a difference or not in the long term. My hair is long, medium in density, strand size, etc. I noticed at about waist length my midshaft to ends seemed as though it didn't feel as strong as the hair from the roots to mid-shaft. I didn't have splits because I keep up with trims, but it just felt different. After consulting with a stylist, I started using Olaplex. Initially, I just used it on the part that felt weak and I did that weekly for about five weeks. At that point, my hair felt the same throughout the entire length. Now I use it twice a month on all of my hair. My coils are uniform from roots to ends and all of the hair feels great.
My hair stylist recommended Olaplex 3. She said it would help my hair curl on its own with minimal manipulation. She was right. I’ve been curly natural for a year and a half and for the first time I actually have curls from roots to ends. Curl changer after 1 month of weekly use! Superb! Congrats on your hair journey. Simply beautiful. 🤩
Hey maybe those are just new hairs. The old ones from those follicles reached the end of their growth stage, fell out, and a new hair grew in? I have those little fuzzies close to the root and that's what I think is going on. For tight coils the new hairs stick up and make a little fuzzy cloud instead of laying flat and blending in with longer older hairs like they do for people with wavier hair. Thats not to say that none of those short hairs are the result of breakage. It may only be a few of them though which is unavoidable as long as youre handling your hair.
I use #3 and #8 twice a month, and the Innersense or AG Boost system on alternate weeks. My gray is very fragile and breakage at my crown happens for several reasons. 1. I wear the same style all the time, 2.. the crown is exposed to the elements and tends to get dryer and 3. Rough detangling. And 4.. dryer time too long or too hot. I decreased my dryer time time 25-30 mins on med to low heat and I started Olaplex. I noticed less breakage when I detangled and I’ve noticed my crown is less “fuzzy”. I’ll probably try a side part for a while to change things up. I’m going on 3 months now and this system is a staple for me and it has really helped.
I am trying to find a way to incorporate the AG boost and balance into my routine again since I bought the liter sizes and rarely ever use them. This sounds like a great way to use them and keep my hair balanced. I’m also noticing less fuzzies in the center of my head and my ends are feeling better although I still need a trim. I’m excited to see how my hair will be in the next few months after consistent biweekly use of the OlaPlex 🙌🏾✨
@@BrittanyMia That sounds like a very balanced routine. Wash and Gos are part of our lives and as long as we are handling it 1-2 times a week with wash, detangled and wear some breakage is bound to happen, but a balanced routine helps mitigate that and keeps our hair healthy and strong.
I have used the entire system and definitely like how my hair responds. The reason No. 0 and 3 works best is because the No. O works as the primer for No. 3. In my opinion, it works best when used together. No. 0 also has more of their main ingredient (Bis-Aminopropyl Diglycol Dimaleate) which preps you hair for No. 3. Can you just use No. 3, yes, it just isn't as strong when used without No. 0.
I always wash my hair first, mainly because it works better on clean hair without having to work through a barrier of products previously used. The bonding system works best on clean "naked" hair, this way the bonding treatment penetrates easier and gives you the best outcome. I clarify my hair first, towel dry, start with No. 0, let it sit for 15 minutes, apply a "generous amount" of No. 3 and let that sit, depending on the condition of my hair, anywhere from 20 minutes to an hour. You definitely can keep it in longer. See how you hair responds, longer time may not be necessary. You will know.
I bought it to decrease shedding and saw a difference that 1st wash. Started just with the #3 and then added #0. By The way the hair feels and looks, I could tell it was doing something. I really like it. Now, I do it as a monthly treatment but was thinking of getting the #4 and 5. Glad to see you enjoyed them.
I use both 0 and 3 but i dont bother sectioning. Otherwise it takes too long and too much product is used. I only leave 3 in for 15-20 minutes and have great results (less breakage, smoother hair). The time equates to a deep conditioning session.
I've been using #3for 5 years at least, the entire system for the last year. It has made a huge difference in my type 4 hair. The strength I without the protein everything. I would not be without olaplex in the stash
I use both #0 & #3. I thought that I read somewhere that #0 has the highest amount of the patented ingredient in it but you can research that to know for certain. I've used #3 for a long time and when I first started using it, the video instructions said that the longer you leave it in, the better it is for your hair so I've always left it in overnight.
I try not to leave products in my hair overnight because I’m afraid of moisture overloading my hair. I’m kind of already dealing with that. I’m going to continue to use No0 since they’re supposed to be used as a two-step system. Thanks for sharing.
It's good to use 0 and 3 together. Put 0 on your scalp first and smooth it down to the rest of your hair. Add 3 on yout hair only and keep both on for a while. This works the best for me.
I love olaplex. With all of the things I do to my hair, including bleaching and coloring and over processing it because I bleach and color too often and too close together, my hair should have melted off of my head by now but with olaplex when I do go to a stylist, when I turn to them to “fix” my mistakes, they are amazed at the good condition and elasticity of my hair. I know I should not have done this either, but there was a long period of time when I would put olaplex under some conditioner, put my hair in a ponytail and go about my day like it was a styler combo. I used to wet by washing or at least conditioning my hair daily during that time because it was too thick to put into the ponytail without water but it was definitely stronger and flourished. Not recommending that to anyone but it worked for me. 😊
Not melted off your head 😂 that’s great that it was able to help with some of that damage. Thanks for sharing what you used to do. Sometimes we do things that aren’t necessarily recommended because we feel desperate to get that hair repaired asap. Nothing wrong with sharing it 🤗
*****Brittany, OLAPLEX is ON SALE @ QVC!!!!! 30% OFF ALL PRODUCTS!!!!! I’m going innnnnnnn! Sale ends 6/19/23.****** Thanks to you, I can no longer do without Olaplex, thank youuuuuuuuuuuu! ❤️
Thanks for the video! I began using 0 and 3 five weeks ago and immediately noticed a a difference in how my curls clumped (less webbing and easier sectioning). I watched a video from Blowout Professor who mentioned everything else besides no. 3 is just “up selling” as our hair can only take so much bond perfector. My hair feels amazing to after shampooing; therefore, my question for you is, do you think the entire system is making a difference? Probably too early to say, but would love your thought. Your hair is gorgeous btw 🔥
I noticed less webbing immediately as well. As you stated, it's too early for me to say. However I have high hopes that using the entire system will be beneficial and allow my hair to get the most benefit out of the system. I will give an update each month on my progress, so we'll see! Thank you ☺
I did a similar process when I first tried olaplex. I did so bc my routine included oils and butters and I understood that it probably wouldn't penetrate, so I washed it first. With my results, I didn't understand the hype. Saw a bit of an improvement. But only a bit. Just tried it again but followed the directions this time. I felt a little dumb and am kicking myself for wasting the product with my misuse. It worked tenfold when I followed directions 🤦🏾♀️ I'll be buying the entire line. Long story short, I love olaplex
I prefer using both no. 0 and no. 3. I think it makes a difference in the user experience for me. I also don't follow directions. Lol I immediately apply the no. 3 after no. 0 cause it helps with slip for me. But I have noticed that my hair is smoother and easier to manage overall
Yeah, going straight into the No3 would definitely save on time and help with UX for me. I can see how it would help the slip for sure because waiting for it to sit in the hair, of course, gives time for your hair to get dry. Thanks for sharing!
Hi Brittany. I use olaplex every week in doing so that’s when I saw Less hair in the shower and on my brush. Usually at Sephora this time of the year they sell a large bottle of number three it’s only for the holidays so I stack up. Have a wonderful day my curly friend 😃
I tried OlaPlex for the first time recently and used it two washdays in a row. I didn't particularly like how my hair felt the 2nd time, so think I'll use it monthly. I also wanna do aphogee...my hair is FINE, not dense and like your curls but I'm working with my 3 or more textures. Your hair (and you as a whole) are BEAUTIFUL. My feedback on ur refining the OlaPlex thing...my sister just uses 0 and 3. I've watched a few videos and that's what I purchased. 0 is the straight fire, 3 has the added in stuff to help it...that's enough for me. The 2nd time I refreshed my hair with the 3 in it with the 0 and will probably keep doing it that way.
Omg I tried the Camille Rose gel for the first time yesterday (due to the Sally’s sale you graciously informed us of 😊) and I think I’ve found my new base gel! I’ve been on the lookout for a replacement for Uncle Funky’s, because it makes my hair somewhat tangly, and I think I just found it in Camille Rose!
Oh, I’m so glad you got to take advantage of that sale! I have so much of the UFD and I think I’m going to spend 2023 finding other botanical base gels. I love the UFD, but I agree with the issues with tangling at the ends.
Hey hey. So happy to see that you enjoyed your Olaplex experience. I love the clarifying shampoo and No. 3✨ I think this is the most smiling I've seen in your vids so I can tell that you REALLY enjoyed this 🥰
Heeey 👋🏾 I just purchased a clarifying shampoo and I’m super excited to try it. 🤣 I really don’t smile that much but I was really happy after trying these products 🙌🏾
I just want to say (very kindly and respectfully! Lol) that wash and go's themselves are not "causing you breakage on your hair", but some technique issues and potential holes in your routine (product wise) which you carefully pointed out in your last video. I think it's an important distinction, and I hope we can collectively move away from attributing breakage to a style that is actually the most low manipulation one curly girls have! With WNGs it's usually how we do it, not the style itself. RE: Olaplex, it's great, and between the 0 & 3 and my rinse out conditioners (both have a little bit of protein), my hair is super strong. My stylist was really impressed with how resilient the hair was (no mid shaft breakage). You will ultimately see the difference with Olaplex with time (imo more valuable than a protein treatment). If anything stick with the 0 & 3 and use the shampoo/conditioners occasionally because WHEW, the cost adds up. And yes, 0&3 on *clean* damp hair. It just works better when the hair is clean and the curly haired folks use thicker/more products than the straight girlies. I imagine the original instructions were based on that straight hair type. Beautiful hair and happy holidays ✨️
Respectfully, it’s Clickbait. Once people watch the video and listen to what I’m saying, they’ll make the distinction that it’s my technique, and not the style within itself. That’s a big reason why I used that title was to get people to the video so that they could hear that there are holes within my technique and products. Thanks for sharing your experience with OlaPlex 0&3. I’ll be using them on clean hair and in conjunction with one another. Happy holidays 💕
@Brittany Mia I figured as much that the previous video was click bait, which is cool. Get the views! But then you said it again at the beginning of this video, so it made me think you actually meant it
You know, I’ve been thinking about this as well. I’m a creature of habit and the wash and go is the easiest and most of efficient way I can style my hair and know that I like the way it turns out. (Most of the time 🙃) but trying different loose styles, or even may be a protective style every now and then may help. Thanks for sharing.
Have you heard of the Felicia Leatherwood brush? I’ve learned wide tooth combs aren’t meant for detangling and actually snap the hair. The FL brush makes detangling so easy even after my hair’s been in braids for a really long time
I own that brush and use it quite often in my weekly wash and go videos. I like it, it’s not bad. It does the job, but I’m gonna try out some other brushes and see how I like those in comparison.
Olaplex system is not bmy favorite but glad you got a pleasing result. In terms of bond builders, after i use, my curls are just more in formation, curlier, shwoopier 😉
@@BrittanyMia I've tried Olaplex 3, Curlsmith's Bonding Salve and Not Your Mothers Moringa/Rice Water bond builder... they all pretty much act the same. Olaplex is most hyped but i don't think it out performs the other two. I have probably repurchased Curlsmith bonding salve the most often but NYM is a very close second and more affordable and accessible. I use it about once a month. I also suffered major breakage catastrophe and also had to figure out what the hell was going on and what I needed to do about. Adding protein every 4 weeks has made a big difference. I also reduced detangling at every step of wash day. WNG every 5th day or so also made things easier. Your instincts are on point. I only caution you to ease into problem solving so that way you can more easily figure out what is actually helping!
This seemed like a long process. I hope with long-term use you get great results! For those who've used both K18 and Olaplex, which do you prefer? I've only used K18 and I like it because its just one step vs at least 2 with Olaplex.
It was a long process. I’ve seen other naturals only use the OlaPlex No3 and have great results. I think that the number zero might be an unnecessary thing to do but could be useful like once a month.
I personally prefer K18 as it's quick and I noticed immediate results after the first use. I do still use olaplex no 3, no 0 is 100% useless imo, as it does target different area of the hair. For immediate results K18 but long term I like olaplex, especially when I color my hair. Think of a ladder, olaplex fixes the broken bonds of the steps, and K18 fixes the sides of the ladder.
Yes and No. Yes, it makes a little difference; however, I don't believe leaving it on for hours will make a HUGE DIFFERENCE. You will see more with constant use, depending on how damage your hair is and weekly use until you notice improvement in your hair conditions.
Ughh I got soo excited seeing that you're reviewing Olaplex!!!!! You make me wanna try them so bad! Your videos are so calming and informative and the way you construct your videos is stunning👏 Would you be willing to try Bounce Curl? Specifically their 'Light Creme Gel'... I just purchased their clarifying shampoo alongside their Light Creme Gel and I have mixed feelings.. I'd be so curious to see what you think of the gel ❤
Thank you 🫶🏾 how are you feeling about the light cream gel? What makes you have mixed feelings? I’ll put it on my list of things to try but also I wanna know how you’re feeling about it.
@@BrittanyMia Well, I always use two gels to style my hair - a softer hold humectant gel underneath and a stronger hold antihumectant gel on top. When I used this gel for the first time as my base gel, it made my hair feel quite dry and frizzy.. but the second time I tried it with my leave-in underneath and the results are very different. I have much more individual curl definition than I usually have, which I love because it gives me more fullness. My curls are also a bit tighter, which I also love and they feel completely weightless. I’m just not sure about how it’s going to last. But I’ve heard heaps of good things, so I’m gonna keep trying it until find the perfect balance, cause the Ingredients are too yummy for me to accept that it won’t work for my hair haha
@@BrittanyMia Ofc!!!! I think it’s a great product and I need to make it work!! I’d be so curious to see what you think of it! It also has a couple proteins in it, which may be helpful as you’ve said you’re experiencing breakage lately 💖💖
I go by feel. I typically add in water, then conditioner and press the conditioner in my hair. If I feel like I’m still getting resistance, then I’ll add more conditioner.

My hair feels amazing to after shampooing; therefore, my question for you is, do you think the entire system is making a difference? Probably too early to say, but would love your thought. Your hair is gorgeous btw 🔥
I had seen one of his video shorts on breakage and he recommended using 3 as well. How long till you noticed a difference?
It worked tenfold when I followed directions 🤦🏾♀️
I'll be buying the entire line.
Long story short, I love olaplex
How did you use it the second Time time?
👋🏾 thanks for sharing your experience, and for Sephora tip! Have a wonderful day as well 🫶🏾
I tried OlaPlex for the first time recently and used it two washdays in a row.
Thank you ❤️
Omg I tried the Camille Rose gel for the first time yesterday (due to the Sally’s sale you graciously informed us of 😊) and I think I’ve found my new base gel!
Hey ! Two video in the last 24 hours ! I never tried Olaplex (it has gotten a lot of tractions ). I'm curious to see your progress
But then you said it again at the beginning of this video, so it made me think you actually meant it
@@sart1348 That's fair, but I was simply stating the title of the video. Though, I do appreciate you sharing your take.
My stylist said that I should alternate styles to minimize breakage. So sometimes wash n go, sometimes twist out
You know, I’ve been thinking about this as well. I’m a creature of habit and the wash and go is the easiest and most of efficient way I can style my hair and know that I like the way it turns out. (Most of the time 🙃) but trying different loose styles, or even may be a protective style every now and then may help. Thanks for sharing.
@@BrittanyMia yes I love wash n go because it’s easy and she told me I had to switch it up. But np!
Which system or bond builder is your favorite?
@@melleciosa thanks for the info!
@@BrittanyMia another intense protein treatment is Pattern Treatment mask... that stuff is great
Did the shampoo feel hydrating enough for weekly use?
Amazing video! 🌻
Yes! The No.4 is hydrating enough for weekly washing for me.
@@BrittanyMia thank you for your response! X
Additionally, you only need to leave No. 0 and No. 3 for a few minutes. Using it for an extended amount of time does not do anything more.
On the directions it states that leaving it in for longer is better, is that just fluff or have you found that it doesn’t make a difference?
@@benesber now I know that I’m gonna be using a leave in conditioner underneath! Lol thank you for giving me some more detail.
@@BrittanyMia Ofc!!!! I think it’s a great product and I need to make it work!! I’d be so curious to see what you think of it! It also has a couple proteins in it, which may be helpful as you’ve said you’re experiencing breakage lately 💖💖
How do you know when you’ve used enough conditioner? I can’t get the measurements down
I go by feel. I typically add in water, then conditioner and press the conditioner in my hair. If I feel like I’m still getting resistance, then I’ll add more conditioner.
