Nope, I wouldn't comb that in either. I don't remember that being a part of the directions when I last used the 2-step treatment. It's great that your hair feels better. As messy and sticky as the 2-step is it does give strength to the hair. Happy New Year!💖
I just tried this protein tx a couple of days ago. I think my hair was damaged because I clarified it too much?! The back of my hair was hard and dry. I applied ~ a dime sized amount to each of the four sections and this really revived my hair. Thank GOD! 🙏🏾❤️☺️☀️
I’m sure it’s been mentioned - spray bottle, no too much combing and maybe not so much product 😉 I just did my treatment too, on January 1st and I’m not doing it again for another three months. Thanks, as always, for sharing!
Happy New Year!!! I've been using Aphogee for many many years & my hair responds so well to it. Curls pop every time! I use the 2 step whenever my hair feels a little gummy when wet, but I use the 2 minute reconstructor every 6 weeks or so as a maintenance in between. Using a spray bottle or an applicator bottle helps a lot with applying the 2 step protein treatment. Loving your videos btw 😊
I prefer to emulsify it in my hands too, which you miss if you use a spray bottle. I've noticed a difference in both spreadability and efficacy. I only ever finger comb it in, make no noticeable difference to use a tool
I have integrated aphogee in my regimen too. I thoroughly follow the instructions except for the combing after applying step 1, it just don't feel right to do that while the hair is hardening😂 I
Aphogee is beginner friendly so long as you follow the directions, but it’s pretty heavy duty, so if your hair doesn’t like high amounts of protein in one setting. Stay away from it. They do have a 2 minute reconstruct or that’s more gentle, so that might be a better fit for you if you’re still interested in trying stuff from Aphogee.
I agree with Tiahna. It was really simple to use, and upon rinsing it out I felt immediate results. I’ll only be using it quarterly. In between that, I’ll use one step proteins, like protein deep conditioners.
Love the vids! Def have been noticing my hair needing some protein recently. random question: do you like/would recommend the hooded dryer you have?? I’m on the market and am kinda bougie so I’d like a standing one lmao. I see the one in your description box but thought I’d ask your opinions on it before I pull the trigger
I really like my hooded dryer, but I also like the one that is at my stylist salon. I go back to her on the 27th and I can see what kind she has and let you know as well. I don’t know how much that one will be, of course and if we will even have access to it or if it’s a salon-only product. But I do like mine a lot I don’t know what other one I would go with on the market right now outside of hers.
I would try using the mile babassu deep conditioner once a month. I was having the same problems as you and this helped. Apogee can be too strong, especially on virgin hair.
@@BrittanyMia I'm not gonna front I was a little nervous when you used the texture treatment after the protein treatment because of the amount of protein but I'm so happy everything worked out. Also when I used to work at Sally Beauty we were instructed that Aphoghee is for hair that is falling off the bone (lmao) from chemical damage. The Mielle Deep conditioner is what I was instructed to use in moderation based on suggestions from curl artists.
@@FoAdunni lmao not falling off the bone! For real, I felt that my hair was falling off the bone with how mushy it was after not using enough protein for a while. I don’t plan on using it very often.
@@BrittanyMia I highly recommend the Sky organics castor and mango treatment mask, and the Uncle Funky’s Daughter heal & renew. Both have protein, but they aren’t drying, and are good for when you need a little protein, but don’t want to do a full blown protein treatment.
I don’t like the two steps aphone. I did try it when I started my healthy hair journey. I like the two minutes which is light protein treatment. Yeah Miele original is a good one but I prefer the curl junkie repair me hair treatment.
Happy New Year yaaaaall!
Your content is so luxurious!

I literally just applied the same treatment!! Lol I love this treatment! It does my fine strands justice!!!

I thought about giving the two minute reconstruction a try. And yeah, next time I spray bottle would be a lot easier. Thank you 🙂
I have eczema on my hands, face, and scalp, so gloves are a must and suffering is inevitable but my hair loves it m
I just love your videos! They are relaxing and I get to enjoy your journey.
💕
I love the Aphogee pro vitamin leave-in. I prefer it over any other leave-in.
I had no idea it was literally like water 🙃 I should’ve put it in a spray bottle but I’ll do that next time.
Lol. Yeah mine is in a spray bottle. I use it in rotation as a prepoo, to refresh curls or as a leave-in on wash day.
@@BrittanyMia
It can clog the bottle 🙃
Your page soo classy❤❤❤
Thank you 😊
I didn't even know they had a leave in. Can't wait

I love the Curlifc treatment so much
A staple 🙌🏾

Exactly!
What’s the name of the standing dryer you’re using?
Thank you👌👍🙏🏼😇💯🌹
How long did this whole process take? Can’t wait to see the results.
It took about an hour to an hour and a half.
Aphogee is intimadting to me lol i opt for easier 1 step proteins... lemme see how this turns out for you

Try a spray bottle next time it’s less messy
Yes I used a spray bottle and it was sooo much better
Ooo good idea

❤ nice.. What is your hair's porosity??
I’d say medium to low
Does anyone know the artist/band and name of song of the music playing in the background of Brittany’s video? In the beginning of her video…
The song is called “Water Baby” by Gregory David
@@BrittanyMia 😘Thank you and happy healthy new year!
I also saw Afrikanhairgod's video on that leave in, and now I'm tempted to try it
and also, Happy new year !
It’s worth a try! Just put it in a spray bottle because it’s definitely like water. Happy New Year 🎆
happy new year! i love that you listen to your hair and decided combing through wasn't the vibe lmao
what kind of camera/lighting do you use? :)
Happy New Year 🎊
I use the Sony ZV-E10 with a Sigma 16mm lens and for lighting I use the Aputure Amarán 60d LED Light with a GVM Lantern Softbox
