Service kit should be included with the guns

I have a brand new gun needing a service kit already. Doesn’t make sense to spend yet more money on an already expensive piece of equipment so soon after buying it.

so if I take that tiny ball out and toss it, I can use this however I want without constantly quiting on me as sonn as I try to sear my protein?

Did you try it with out the ball? Did it work I gave up using the gun because it shut off at any angle necessary to sear the top of a steak.

I just tried it and it worked great... I was able to point it almost straight down with a brand new tank. More than enough to sear. Thanks for the idea.

I didn’t make any of the mistakes he predicted I made that would have caused my problems. But when I pointed my Sous Vide Gun down at my meat it would shut down and I would have to turn it off and disconnect the hose and start over.
I purged my hose like he showed in the other video. I didn’t have the oily mess he said I would have if I would have in case I made the mistake he predicted I made.
I took the back end off and took the ball out and cleaned it with a swab and alcohol. It was clean.
I put it back together without the ball, fired it up and pointed down. It continued to run. I hope I don’t set myself on fire but it definitely works much better without the ball.
I didn’t make any of the mistakes he predicted, my hose was clear and the part I could get to with a 10mm socket was clean, but the gun would shut down when at a downward angle. It works like it is supposed to run with the ball removed.

I used my gun maybe half a dozen times before it stopped working. Obviously there are design issues that you knew about in advance, charging separately for a kit that's going to be necessary for the operation of your device is borderline fraudulent activity.

Please contact support@grillblazer.com directly, because we are happy to help you through whatever issue you are having. The idea of selling a service kit is to enable people fix their clogged torches themselves, when they have used poor quality or dirty fuel. The alternative is to make everyone in this situation send us their torch to be serviced.
If there were any design issues, we have made adjustments by now, but there simply aren't any. Since we started selling these torches we have sold less than 300 service kits against upwards of 60,000 torches, without the need to service them. From this perspective, it would actually be fraudulent to upcharge every sale with the cost of a service kit that only 2 in 1000 people will never use.
Again, I'm sorry you have a problem with your torch and we want to help, so please contact us to give us a chance.

@@grillblazerwhat an asinine comment. How should your customers distinguish clean and “dirty” propane? Perhaps instead you should have designed your product to work across a range of propane sources? Never had this clogging issue with any propane grill i’ve used.

Why wasn’t the service kit not included with the purchase? It obvious you know about the possibility of malfunctioning when it was designed.

We have sold over 60,000 GrillGuns and fewer than 500 service kits. It is not likely that you will clog the torch nor do we think that everyone needs to bear the cost of a service kit when it is mostly unnecessary.

@bobhealey1365 BS. I've had mine for a year and have had to take it apart multiple times. With EVERY use I have to attach the gun, turn it on, detach the gun, clear the propane out of it, and then reattach it for it to fully work. Even then, I still sometimes have to take it apart.
Edit: and this time, even after taking it apart and emptying the hose, I STILL cant get the full blast. 🙄

Hi, l bought the grill gun and stand on Kickstarter, did you know this when you developed said gun,
if so, you should have put it in your kit. My thoughts 🤓
