    Had my Grillgun since May 2021. Had a problem with the flame after maybe 10 cooks. Tried to reset several times and didn't work. Then i ran across the maintenance video and my issue turned out to be a clogged valve! Ordered the kit and followed the instructions! Now my Grillgun is as good as new! Thanks!!

      Getting people to slow down long enough to learn to use these torches right, is paramount. Guys are naturally inclined to think that they "don't need no stinkin' instructions". Check valves are not typically employed in torches, because torches are not typically "BIG BAD FIRE BREATHERS" that need safety controls like these have. Thanks for watching and thanks for your comment!

    Got a SU-V gun not too long ago for meat searing... absolutely fantastic product, produces much better, much faster results than some tiny little torch could ever produce. If you're into searing foods at all, this thing is a game changer.

    Think of it this way. The GrillGun is for large and in charge out door fire needs, the Su-VGun is a smaller focused clean burning flame suitable for direct application on food. You decide which is more appropriate for your needs.

    • @grillblazer
      @grillblazer  3 роки тому +2

      Please watch the video on the "How to clear a fouled 8' adapter hose". Any oil in the hose will foul the check valve and make it ultra sensitive. Every time someone has your issue, it is caused by an oily hose (which comes from the tank).
      You will first want to clear out the hose and then clean out the check valve (the second half of the service video).
      Everything will be good to go after that.

    Love your product, Bob!
    Although I did cringe every time you explained the workings and solution to this problem, because you're so technically minded that you don't see it as a problem to solve. Mind you, I could be wrong here, but I likely suffer from the same thing.
    I feel Bernzomatic did that with their TS4000/8000, which is the golden standard (as far as a tool goes).
    If you want to sell lots of these, and I hope you sell LOTS of these... I encourage you to make it the best performing tool to any user. add a regulator, or clever device that allows unhindered performance when subjected to liquid propane.
    Cheers!

    What would cause it to sputter when you pull the bottom gas trigger? It works fine using the knob on top as long as I don't open it up all the way but if I pull the gas trigger it always sputters. It almost seems like its getting too much gas.

    Mine just puts out a weak orange yellow flame. It doesn't even look like the flame before you pull the bottom handle.
    I haven't been able to use it until now because I've been travelling back and forth daily to take care of my Mom. I tried to spin it off and depressurize, but it lights then pulling the handle actually reduces the flame and it is yellow not blue. Then I stop it and it won't jet out.

    How hot does the gun get? Scared if it can burn through my cast aluminum grill?

    • @grillblazer
      @grillblazer  Рік тому

      It cannot burn through cast aluminum. The properties of aluminum disperse heat so fast that you simply couldn't get the heat concentrated enough in one spot to melt the metal without going to an extreme by training the flame on one spot relentlessly to try and melt it. Even then, I doubt you could damage it.

  • @JohnJacobLlaguno

    @bobhealey Good day! May we know how long the su-v gun could stay on?

    • @bobhealey1365
      @bobhealey1365 14 днів тому +1

      It can stay on as long as you like. No limitation associated with the torch, the limitation you will encounter has to do with the propane.
      As liquid propane turns to gas in the bottle it gives off heat which cools it down and loses pressure as the bottle freezes over. The colder it gets, the less pressure it comes out of the gun. In a couple of minutes the flame is less than half of what it started out as.
      You need to let that bottle warm back to room temperature to restore the output pressure to where it started.
