Yeah. Better trust the news. You can always trust them. Or ask the government or a manufacturer of sunscreen.

Since my umbrella ACTUALLY works, I don’t need to wear a rain coat AND have an umbrella. I just need the umbrella.
But if you want to minimise raindrops altogether. Wear umbrella AND raincoat. That way you are dry even in wind. Or when the umbrella gets some holes you are still covered. Nothing works 100% on it's own but when you combine it, you can come close to 100%. And that's the point.

It's also recommended to put a long lasting face sunscreen EVERY single day since it's pretty much the only part of the body that's going to get it by the sun all year long, and damage can accumulate over the years. It's also the place where you want the least damage since it's more visible.
Not only that but aún exposure to your face would speed up your face wrinkles and make you look old sooner
"The Experts say . . . .". We have ALL HEARD THAT BEFORE!!
Blue Lizard sensitive skin or baby sunscreen is ideal, but it works so well you often won't tan at all.
People should fallow those who say sunscreen is a hoax and film them putting on sunscreens to themselves or their families and post them to the media. That would be one viral video.
*Some people need to apply sunscreen more often. Don’t assume that 2 hours is your limit.*
I distinctly remember my health class teacher in like, 2012-2013, telling us that sunscreen also has cancer-causing chemicals in it. But, of course, she also told us that the sun causes skin cancer. And that it was a matter of weighing the pros and cons of each, and doing everything in moderation.
So...idk. I certainly wouldn't say 'don't use sunscreen' but labelling what the people on TikTok were saying as 'misinformation' seems a little... like, did the sunscreen companies tell you to say that?
People are extremists in every single matter nowadays. I never use sun screen but i dont sit around in the sun burning my skin for hours either. Common sense should be enough

or on top of a plane or be in outer space.
Not true many Northern places in the world have sun up to 24 hours a day.
@@wanderlustandsparkle4395 Technically, true. But here I am implying not just for 6 months.
If 9,500 people get diagnosed with skin cancer each day, that is ~3.47 million people each year, which is around 90% of the size of each new cohort of American citizens. So if I'm not mistaken, according to these numbers, assuming we continue with the same trend pretty stably, almost everybody in the US is going to be eventually diagnosed with skin cancer? (even if there can recurring diagnoses for the same individual, and even if the average number per person who's diagnosed is 10 diagnoses throughout life, it's about 9% of the people in the US being diagnosed, which still doesn't sound right at all.)
Yeah, you will likely get skin cancer one day probably when you’re old. My dad got it like a dozen or more times, never wore sunscreen. Every year he gets some black spot on his arms or shoulders that needs to be removed. It’s not a big deal at all if you catch it early.

Experts cannot know everything, but often times it means if they don't know something, it doesn't exist.
What? Expert are expert in their fields (just like Tiger woods is not a tennis player...) and they know about their stuff or they would bot be experts. Influencers are experts in missleading people to get some clicks.
Nice red herring logical fallacy. Instead of discussing the importance of sunscreen, you change the discussion to whether experts know everything lol. You’re certainly the guy that doesn’t wear sunscreen.

Being 40 and looking like 25 and almost never using sun screen I count myself lucky. This summer I’ll be more careful.

20 mins a day is perfect. If it’s a beach day use spf.
20minutes of UV 4 to 6 a day is perfect. don't use any sunscreen else you couldn't get the sun's benefits.
Are you implying you don’t need sunscreen under 20 minutes? Completely false, you do. The amount of time doesn’t protect you against the damage of the suns rays.
They shouldn't sell that one type of sunscreen if they don't even know if it's bad for human skin to begin with, let alone marine life. How are they not sued?
Yet they know it’s bad for marine animals? 🤔
Zinc oxide should be the safer choice out of them all. Titanium may cause heavy metal toxicity.
Just had to listen to someone recommend black salve to treat skin cancer. People would literally put a corrosive and unregulated substance on their skin rather than see a doctor who can confirm in office using biopsy that the skin cancer is fully removed. Sadly, the most ignorant people are also the most outspoken. Bizarre to me that people will put that on their skin instead of covering up or wearing sunscreen to avoid the damage in the first place. Sunscreen is cheaper and a lot less painful.
In my opinion. If a person that has their own social media channel is announcing an opinion, they must link to valid sources. There are definitely sun screen brands which have bad ingredients, and sunscreen brands which use natural or non-harmful ingredients and processes. In the same way that Cheerios has glyphosates which increases rates of sterility.
