What you did with the chicken is super smart. In my culture, Haitian cuisine we always clean our meats with lime or vinegar to cut fat, any possibility of bacteria (salmonella), will eliminates the raw smell which we all hate. And on top of that it enhances the flavor of the meat. After washing and rubbing those acids into the meat we rinse it off by siting the meat in boiling water for about five minuets (we skip that part for fish). Then we begin the seasoning process. Many other Caribbean nations clean their meat the same way. It does a world of difference for the flavor.
Yes, living in Atlanta we really do have the luxury of great food. That's a blessing! The faux fireplace is really coming along. I LOVE the zebra outfit, so cute! My top 3 shows would be "24", Power, and any show on the ID channel (fear thy neighbor, I am homicide, ...) Great video as always. TFS

I'm so much like Tan when it comes to scary movies. I can't watch scary or violent/bloody movies. I thought I was the only one like that! When I go to the movies, I will not go in until the previews are over because a gory clip might come on. Lol

I get so happy when I see your video pop up on my news feed :) I like movies more than tv shows- my favorite are all the 80's comedies like Coming to America, Big, Trading places, Goonies, the list could go on- they are just solid comedies that I don't feel uncomfortable if my teenagers watch with me- movies these days they think they have to be overtly grossly sexual or vulgar but while I can find humor in those movies too- I MUCH prefer a n 80's early 90's (like overboard, house sitter, don't tell mom the baby sitter is dead ect) movie to watch with my kids :)

You found some excellent buys when you went shopping. My husband thinks my favorite shows are so corny. When we watch them I laugh so hard my side hurts and he is usually sitting there with a straight face My favorite shows are Malcolm in the Middle, Girlfriends and MARTIN! now he does laugh at Martin. Game Of Thrones is my #1 show, Gunsmoke I watch everyday except Sunday unless I watch a recording, my favorite actor is James Stewart so anything he is in on tcm and Ray Donovan on Showtime. I find that men feel they are missing something so they are constantly changing the channel to see if there is something better out there. M husband usually controls the remote in our bedroom but I do in the rest of the house. We also leave our tv on all night and I usually awakened by a lot of gun noise. Enjoyed the video as always.

Erik said he was disappointed in the precut vegges and said that's not chef, then Tan when you cut in talking about time restraints, too cute and sooo funny :-). I loved everything about this vlog. Dishes is the job I dread most too, even though it is soothing to wash them I just want to get on with my day. Loooove the clothes and what a great bargain!! The fireplace is coming along nicely, what a brave project. Tea time, love it! My husband controls the remote also, especially during football and basketball seasons. I'll have to check out Game of Thrones (like I need another show obsession haha). I tend to go through spurts of 2 month addictions to shows or games and other entertainment. I love the survivor shows too, never know when it comes in handy, better be prepared. HGTV is my channel and FoodNetwork about once a year for a few months in glued.i ❤️ That I see myself in y'all. And Awwwe Disney world I miss it!! Did you know Warren Buffet's co. Used to own 4% share in Disney back in the 60's or was it 70's. My two girls and husband think I am nuts for doing it the same way everytime but it helps me stay focused and not miss anything and it seems like it get it dome faster in the routine. Yes 16:45 Krispy Kreme is not the same anymore. The doughnuts literally taste like a puff pastry with melted sugar on them and nothing else. When we moved to Atlanta in 1994, my family was addicted to them. When the hot sign was on we would break our necks trying to get in there. Now I’m forced to beg one of the members of our sales team at work to bring some Of Randy’s Donuts in when he flies in from California 🤤😋 🍩

So, I was just sitting here watching your video and all of a sudden I hear you mention my channel. My daughter says, "Mom, that's you" . Thank you for the shout out. I don't really watch TV but when I do I'd like to watch reruns of the Andy Griffith Show, I Love Lucy and HGTV's House Hunters or Love it or List it. I'm like Tan in that I do not watch any scary or horror shows or movies. I don't even ride rollercoasters because I will not pay people money to scare me. IJS.

A tip we use in our home to help with the chicken smell is to wash the chicken with a little vinegar or the juice of one lemon or lime. I can't with the chicken smell too.

You guys are spot on about the tastelessness of coffee and other food in Canada these days. The reason for it is that many of these franchisee are just too greedy. They want money but refuse to provide quality. Tim Horton's had a great reputation when it was controlled and run by white folks. Now many of these establishments are owned by East Indians who have ruined the brand others have worked hard to build by watering down coffee and cutting corners just to make Hugh profits. But there are still quality establishment, next time check Dennys, Kelseys, Montana etc. Like you said, see what the suburbs have to offer.

I haven't been to NY&Co in years, until today. Everything was reduced 50%! I had a blast! My Hubby controls the remote and I DVR my shows. Yes 16:45 Krispy Kreme is not the same anymore. The doughnuts literally taste like a puff pastry with melted sugar on them and nothing else. When we moved to Atlanta in 1994, my family was addicted to them. When the hot sign was on we would break our necks trying to get in there. Now I’m forced to beg one of the members of our sales team at work to bring some Of Randy’s Donuts in when he flies in from California 🤤😋 🍩

So, I was just sitting here watching your video and all of a sudden I hear you mention my channel. My daughter says, "Mom, that's you" . Thank you for the shout out. I don't really watch TV but when I do I'd like to watch reruns of the Andy Griffith Show, I Love Lucy and HGTV's House Hunters or Love it or List it. I'm like Tan in that I do not watch any scary or horror shows or movies. I don't even ride rollercoasters because I will not pay people money to scare me. IJS.

A tip we use in our home to help with the chicken smell is to wash the chicken with a little vinegar or the juice of one lemon or lime. I can't with the chicken smell too.

You guys are spot on about the tastelessness of coffee and other food in Canada these days. The reason for it is that many of these franchisee are just too greedy. They want money but refuse to provide quality. Tim Horton's had a great reputation when it was controlled and run by white folks. Now many of these establishments are owned by East Indians who have ruined the brand others have worked hard to build by watering down coffee and cutting corners just to make Hugh profits. But there are still quality establishment, next time check Dennys, Kelseys, Montana etc. Like you said, see what the suburbs have to offer.
