Pete...Good to see you back at what you love doing and glad Lauren got you your Christmas wish! I was in St. Pete for a week cutting trees after Helene/Milton. There is something therapeutic about getting trees into manageable pieces with a chainsaw. We had one live oak that was over 5 feet at waist height. I love my five year old Cannon bar on a Dolmar and agree they are the best bar out there! Did you ever finalize your testing of different chains and decide which you like best? Keep the great content coming!!
I agree! You pay more upfront but they last and last and last. Superior steel , manufacturing processes and tolerances. The supermini narrow kerf is an excellent choice on ur smaller cc saws too 😊
Looks like a pretty good size hard wood , dont know exactly what kind, being from emerald empire in NW. Nice to know about Cannon bars, but I will hang on to my Suggi Harra, it will outlast me, I dont cut as much firewood to run up my chimeny as I used to. Good video watch, lookin forward to more of your videos. Looks like your movin around better. Have a good one,
Wanted a 36 cannon light for our 394 but were hard to get. Will take another look. With the Oregon light bars gone the cannon looked better than sugi and tsmura and others... Definitely lightest. Glad to see you back and all recovered!
Bought a 28” cannon superbar for my 395 bout 8yr ago and I feel the same way. I got the heavier more stiff one and got pinched bad first big tree and it sold me. Good see ya bud…matt
Hey Pete that was a big tree Looks like you're doing good from last winter accident Look to be in good shape on the ball I go see my surgeon this coming May deciding if I'll get hip again or not It's been two years now in wheelchair In couple weeks they want me to try my crochet's see if I can go on one leg It's good to see you back in the woods Hey maybe Mark Glica can saw that log up for you haha
God bless brother I hope all is well. Everybody has their preference we all know that my opinion I think sthil light bars are the best bars on the market they're just tough as nails and they last. I've never got to try I Cannon bar I would love to though one day I will
is this just your opinion on the best bar? I run the Stihl Rollomatic ES Light bars and those have never let me down. Any saw running a 32” bar is heavy so every gram of weight matters over the course of a day
It is a really nice bar and all...but I bet you are kickin' yourself now about not hinting around before Xmas time that you would really like a brand new Duramax, but just hate to spend the money!😂🤣 You still got it, Ole Buddy! Nice job laying em down!👍💪 P.S. The saw is sounding good again also...
I'm giving left log from Idaho a 16 ft first log but probably less due to rotten fork. 2nd log mabye a 8 ft with crotch and rotten fk below. That top would shatter so firewood and mabye a 8ft log. Right tree. 3ith cat face at 12 ft or a bit more and the grain of that crotch looks really persistent in 1st and 2nd log. Top same story. Not being a dick.
Awesome fall! That was a large tree! I am impressed. So glad to see you back. Thank you for sharing! Keep safe 🙏 😊
Nice to see you back out cutting.
Awesome video and I will agree with you on the chain saw bar. Stay safe and warm and enjoy every day. Thank you.

Massive Pete! I felt the ground shake from here.
Induction hardening makes the outer surface hard and soft in the center. Flame hardening gets harder deeper into the material.
Glad to see you back to work !
Good to see you Pete back at it again stay safe and god speed
Good to see you back on it with confidence. That oak is pretty massive.
Lookin good Pete, good to see ya back at it . Just goes to prove you can't keep a good man down .

That makes for a great day for us. Thanks for video. Stay safe
Glad to see you back again Pete! Looking great!
And I am absolutely in shock how you file with just one hand and get it that sharp.
I'm amazed how he talks and sharpens at the same time. I can listen while I'm sharpening but I have to stop to talk!
@@papaw5405 I know right God bless
It takes a little practice, but since I can’t get my left hand to talk to my right, then it’s easy for me.
That was a fantastic lay bro! Saved out a good bit of wood on that HUGE oak! Stay safe brother!
Nice logs. Good job. be safe buddy

I have wanted to try one of them but like you say they are expensive
I like to watch you work . The bar was long enough ,Pete . The tree is on the ground . The tree did not break at the crouch , I thou it might . Seeya

Thats was a big ol tree for sure the mill will definitely will get some lumber out of it👍🏻
Had someone ruin me by describing the smell of fresh Red Oak as Cat Piss... Your Welcome and glad to see you getting at it! All the Best
It definitely doesn’t smell NEARLY AS BAD AS cat piss. It’s a unique smell when it’s fresh cut, but not nearly as offensive.
Hey Pete nice oak , sounds like you got the saw fixed it is definitely eating
Beautiful .
I think I will try to get a 28" bar like that for my 395 .
Nice job. That looked like a 394/395 sized project though.
Great to see you back tippin whoppers!

My opinion lol
What will that go for? Pallet.
Saw as much grade out as they can
Good job Pete

That saw is purring!

Great video buddy 👍
Nice work
Nice drop Pete!
a big old stick there nuts, glad to see you back falling and thriving. 😀
Nice wideo Pete
always amazes
A good bar is worth the money, spend the money.
Wow buddy that red oak tree is really big you look very small beside it
Welcome back! Sometime, explain the double face cut on such a huge tree? I can assume but, it would be good to hear it from a pro.
So he could reach the middle
Let's see the scale lol
