Just an FYI-when your wood filler dries out, add water a little at a time (don’t worry, if you get to much, leaving the lid off for a little while in that Texas heat will fix it). Mix the water into the dried wood filler well. Let it sit 10 min and see if you need to add more. Since Wood filler is mostly wood with water added, you will soon get it back to the texture it was when you got it. Or the texture I prefer it to be. Either one. I discovered this out in an emergency one time. Now- I do it all of the time. And it works like a CHARM!! I never throw wood filler out any more!! Money saved!!! Give it a try! Your dresser turned out Beautiful. I love that color!! By the way, your hair is freaking adorable!! It looks fabulous on you! Rock it girl!
Yea, I do with the ones that aren't gorilla brand. I think the gorilla one has a bit of their glue in it! lol For some reason I can't get it back to a good consistency. Thanks for watching!
Very beautiful and absolutely I would use this in my home. The gloss finish makes it look like a brand new piece from a furniture store and to me that’s hard to achieve by painting. I think the high quality dressers you choose to flip makes a huge difference. Great job.
I don't personally often choose a glossy finish for my own home (enhances the visability o f dust) but the look is beautiful. You really brought this piece back to life.
The dresser turned out beautiful!!❤❤❤ I’m more of a matte finish person, however I would definitely reconsider for this one. I was gonna ask you how the summer heat affected your business. I live in Texas too about 1/2 hours south of you and my sister is in Grand Prairie. I also paint furniture. Hunting , transporting and getting ready for sell slowed down a lot!
Summer was brutal but if I could get a project done it would sell. I ended up having to bring a few inside. Ready for the cooler temps! Thanks for watching!
To keep your wood filler from drying out in your heat, place a damp piece of paper towel in the container. For anyone in a cooler climate, check it periodically because it can get a bit of mold growth if too wet for too long.
Love the color and high gloss finish! The hardware is gorgeous! I would have a hard time selling this one because I would want to keep it for myself! Great job!!
This piece is gorgeous. I like the color you've picked out. It's perfect. In addition the poles are great, you' ve made the right choice keeping them. The details on the piece elevate the whole thing.
Love watching your full length videos vs just the reels. You are very talented and an inspiration. I will be redoing a coffee table that’s been taking up residence in my garage for over a year.
Amazing transformation! Love ❤️ Benjamin Moore Advance paint. Original hardware worked perfectly fine after your cleaning and polishing. New-shorter hairstyle looks great on you! ❤️
Wow, the end result was beautiful! So nice to see old things made new rather than just continually buying new things that end up in the landfill someday.
I love the color! Looks more creamy in the video with the lighting. But it’s really more green. I think I will try this color though! I am a furniture flipper too, love seeing your videos and inspiration!!
Lovely! Thanks for not showing just another stripping video. We all can figure out how to strip furniture, but painting it is creating something unique. When I see videos start with stripping furniture I immediately turn it off and move on to the next. Thanks again for your tips and creativity.
I use Rockhard putty. IT is super cheap and dries so hard you can even drill holes in it. It also dries super fast! Just mix a little with water, so much easirt than Bondo, and cheaper than wood putty.
LL, you chose the right word, "gorgeous". That is my very favorite style, does anybody know what to call it??? The pulls were also loverly. These professional painter guys that go around repainting kitchen cabinets always prime first because they say it makes it obvious exactly where to caulk. Like a hairline space in a miter joint. There is no substitute for feeling to check for imperfections. I am sure that is good wood under it all, and you preserved that. It will be current for at least 10-20 more years, maybe even classic. Heck of a risk to use the high gloss, but WOW, so well worth it. That would blend with almost any style. So classy and high end looking, it was good furniture to begin with. I wouldn't be so vulgar as to ask how much and how much did it sell for, but what was it and how fast??? I would have paid up to 200 for that before the makeover, job VERY well done. That Proven has done you miracles, can't wait for mine to get here! 50% OFF, is GOOD!
Always look forward to you comments as you know = ) You will love the Proven system, I saw it on Shark Tank awhile ago and always wanted to try it! I haven't sold yet just listed but its at $650. That dresser would look great with any finish on it, it is such a nice piece, great bones. I knew it didn't sell at auction bc people were afraid of that crazy layered paint job. Nothing a sander can't handle! Have a great week!
@@LemonstoLemonadeFurniture Holy Moly, I did not notice the 35.00 purchase price. I will bet that this sells today for what you are asking. This does not look remotely DIY. But fresh from the factory. Wow, you have a keen eye, so proud and happy for you. Just a PERFECT decision with the color and high gloss and keeping the pulls. I am so impressed.

Great tip! I had no idea about this. I have some in the garage dried out right now I am going to try and fix

@user-iw8bx1pt6e Thank you! I really appreciate you being here! Hope to see you next time!
I think the dresser turned out, absolutely stunning!!!
I love the glossy look. I also love how you kept it simple and yet, it looks high end.
@user-wn3em8xj6g Thank you! I really appreciate you being here! Hope to see you next time!
It looks 10x better and I love a glossy finish bc to me it’s so much easier to wipe down than a matte/flat finish.
I like the gloss look for the bedrooms, not the living room or kitchen. That color is beautiful.

Love your haircut. Great job on the dresser. I love the color. I'm so glad we are almost out of our very hot summer!
Me too!! Thanks so much!

The colour is gorgeous Kara. Usually not a glossy girl but this piece is stunning. ❤
Oh thank you!
😲 That's actually a high-end mid-century piece of furniture.
Love the color and high gloss finish! The hardware is gorgeous! I would have a hard time selling this one because I would want to keep it for myself! Great job!!
agreed! I was looking for a place for it! lol
I saw this in 23 but loved it
Just wow. If I lived close to your place, I would buy this in a minute!
Hair is fab. Such an elegant piece!! I have never done high gloss. You are brave as it can reveal every flaw. Looks like you nailed it!
You can do it! Thanks for watching!
Glossy look. Yes.
Beautiful...like the glossy finish! Glad you kept the original hardware. 😊
Thank you! 😊

Love it! The glossy look is nice. In my area folks love the metallic bright gold on the hardware.

I would try to add water to the wood filler before chunking it. This flip is OUTSTANDING!
Yea I do with most but with the gorilla kind...just makes a mess = /

Lovely!
You can add a little water to the wood filler to rescue it. Just add a dab and stir it up and it’s like new again.
I do to the other ones that aren’t gorilla glue. Something about that one doesn’t do well with water added. Thanks for watching!
Beautiful . Classy
Thank you! 😊
I love it and really like the color. P.S. Your hair looks really cute!
Thank you so much! I appreciate you tuning in! Hope to see you next time!
