Funny how nobody ever tells old black blues singers to quit. Simply because when you grow up listening to these quality song writers and musical maestros, it is still hugely welcoming to share their stage time, if they still want to participate with their audience. When musicians age, telling them to go away is no different from telling an aged relative to go back to the home and stay quiet, because nobody wants them around any more. For myself, this is a very nice video. After Crosby passed recently and having grown up with CSNY, these surviving guys are welcome any time, on my screen. 👍😎🇳🇿🎸✨🥂
ich habe Sie verstanden und bin ganz ihrer Meinung, es ist ein Genuss die Musik noch älterer Musiker als man selbst ist noch Live hören zu können, vielleicht gelingt es uns auch noch Gehört zu werden.
I LOVE seeing these guys up on stage, especially Young who is a Canadian like myself. But what PISSES me off (and this is the case with ALL established bands), is to see the 2000s' phenomenon of typically teenage-looking women with MANDATORY long hair and short BLACK dresses droning backup in the background (and whose MOTHERS weren't even alive in the song's heyday), as if SEX is the only appeal to the old performers now. If they MUST have backup, FAR better to have old dears the same age with glasses' chains to give the song a bit of patina - and to direct the audience's eye back to the performers themselves.
I got to see these two play together in 1970, in Chicago's Auditorium Theater, from the nosebleed section, on the CSNY tour that produced the Four Way Streets album. I loved 'em then, and I love 'em now, with tears of joy running down my face. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
I got to see the Long May You Run tour, two nights in a row because we were just that crazy back then. Never saw Neil with CSN, but did see CSN. Memories, huh?
Really? If one can't play or sing anymore they shouldn't be there. It is a concert, not a shelf with nick nacks from the past which is clearly the case with this person.
2:41 proud Canadian alike; sometimes I forget how special artists of my time have been to my life. I take them for granted like family and love them the same way too because we listened as a family from the time of my birth so it feels like you have always been with me. As time presses on, I find myself ever more grateful for being on my journey with me.
Hard to keep from getting a bit emotional watching and listening to this song - one of my all time favorites. Maybe The Beach Boys have got you now.......
"We missed that shift on the long decline." I think that's a part of the story of all of our lives. It's been so long these guys have run. I saw them together live only once, with CSN&Y in October 1969. That's more than 53 years ago. Long may you run, good people.
Sounds like the engine is starting to sputter and the transmission is kicking it out of gear, but it's still driving. They might have missed that shift on the long decline, but more power to them. Never give up what you love.
Based on his two most recent studio albums, I'm not surprised that Neil's voice is thinner and unsteady. Fortunately, we'll get more outtakes and concert recordings from the Good Ol' Days. Neil and Stephen know that their heydays are over. In light of the revelation that David Crosby died from getting COVID-19 twice, is it worth the health risks in Neil or Stephen touring? Please let this one off performance be Neil and Stephen's onstage farewell.
Stephen has no desire to go on the road again as he has said many times. His hearing and general health - let alone age - makes him never want to sleep on another bus. These guys are approaching 80. All things considered, Neil's voice sounds pretty good. Not sure what people expect from these guys at this stage aside from nostalgia.
I'm one of those too. When music was really music and life was beautiful. I'm grateful to have lived in a period that will never be what it once was to our generation. The concerts, the albums, and my youth. Yes, life is still beautiful and I'm still here to remember it...
They haven't earnt their money from robbing people like bankers and politicians. They play music that people pay to have and see. So they have made a lot of people happy and made a lot of money from it. So what? Earning money is not a problem, it's how you earn you earn your money and also what you do with it. Neil obviously doesn't spend it on brands and luxuries, that should be applauded should it not? He supports many charities and even set up FarmAid to help farmers. He has credibility because he hasn't changed his views and has remained consistently on the side of people fighting for their justice and rights.
@@p8pillon dedicated swallower of media. You dont know these people. But a friend of mine is a neighbor of Santana and Young and for decades. Santana is always fun, is greeting and friendly, Neil Young never greets, is always grumpy.
Stick your arrogant opinion,,, you know the rest. Simple. Don’t go to their shows or listen to them, because you certainly can’t hear them. Have a nice day.

Well said, it takes a lot of nerve for anyone to tell these two pioneers, these two legends to quit.

Neil's guitar and harmonica never gets old for me.
A song about a car becomes an anthem for all of us, and them.
Two old souls still doing what they love.....beautiful
how the f did we get old so freakin fast? jezzz, freaks me out, Im only 62 and Im freaked out
I'm 23 and I can relate
Neil bowing to Stephen as he sings the words "Long may you run."👍
always a good thing to see and hear these two "brothers" playing together....a unique blend, a special feeling
they're having a lot of fun. steven smiling at crazy neil who forgot he needs a microphone. lol. love it.
Great to see these guys together. I'm crying my eyes out. What a song
Stephen's accompaniment and tone are just perfect; what a beautiful version of this song
Really? If one can't play or sing anymore they shouldn't be there. It is a concert, not a shelf with nick nacks from the past which is clearly the case with this person.
Wow, we see it differently. Stills doesn't know the song anymore and adds nothing...
Love this song, and the guys who do it. We're losing our great rock stars....very sad situation. Long may they run.
This is just SO wonderful to see them On stage together again ! !!! Time passes by ...lets NOT criticize but just count our blessings !
Long may you run Neil and Stephen.
thanks for posting this i can listen to Neil all day

Emotional for me to see one of my favourite artists singing about my other favourite artists ❤
Saw the Stills-Young Band back in the 70's?
Boy am I getting old!
I hope these guys never do and never stop. Thanks for Posting!!!
yes, I did see them then, in Jacksonville, AL
It's so incredible to see these guys together again!!!! Does my heart good. From 4:25 on I kinda got a little teary-eyed.
Me too Dave, from 19967 o the Smothers Brothers Comedy hour" (For whats it worth) to this concert here. Just a little choked up today!
Hard to keep from getting a bit emotional watching and listening to this song - one of my all time favorites. Maybe The Beach Boys have got you now.......
What a great song! One of my favourites. Look how time fades away...
This is a beautiful thing. ❤️🎶
Very special. Thanks for sharing these videos.
I saw them do this song in Buffalo NY as part of the Stills Young Band tour. It was magical. Still one of my favourite songs by Neil.
Great for the Soul.......... Thank you for sharing!

Neil so nice to Stephen. Respect.
With your chrome heart shining in the sun...long may you run....that's what I sing to my Harley.......class song
Stills' guitar fills here make this version special. BTW IMO he is far underappreciated as a guitar player.
Just to shame that the four of them couldn't have gotten along better cuz they were magic together ❤️
It doesn't get any better than that now does it
So great to see them.
Nice job by Stills, he seemed to be finding his way through it early on and by the 3 minute mark he was locked in. Beautiful version, gents.
All things pass, but Neil doesnt' change🥰☮️
Yeah but he suppose to dress with better clothes
So amazing to see Neil and Stephen that make Neil to sing at Buffalo Springfield time when Neil doesn't want to sing
Thankyou All For Making Us all feel at home❤❤❤

This sounds so good with that added punchy bass line in the background
Sempre fantastici❤
Truly amazing , Bring back memories.
They sound terrible.
Well....look at y'all 😊❤🎉
fantastic. the guitar, the voice , harmonica didnt change. the dancing base guitar of POTR still nice

glad to see they've taken a break from feudin
シェアさせて戴きます。
This sounds better than the other video.
Maestro!
❤❤❤❤❤❤😊😊😊😊😊
I was mad at Neil Young but I'm not anymore.
☮️☮️☮️☮️❤️❤️❤️❤️✌️✌️✌️
Poor Stephan has lost his voice - one of the best in the 70’s.
Check out Nils Lofgren's version of this song. With all due respect to Neil, it's the best.
I don't think Neil and Stephen would really want to know what those backup singers are thinking.
Granpas still on stage !!
*grabs kleenex* this song always gets to me
You are not alone!
how much was that?god bless
Love them both but where's the Zimmer frame?
The balance comes from the guitars 👍😎🇳🇿🎸✨

Hi got a tough enough ok
If you want to hear a real harmonicist, google Charlie McCoy, Mike Caldwell, Toots Thielemann, or Larry Adler.
Yes, these guys are why I play guitar and write songs. That said, know when to hang it up.
There are those of us, who were there in the day, that are still glad to hear them.
And here I thought it was beautiful...hmm different strokes I guess. ✌️
Yea... these two have forgotten more about music than you will ever know.
I'm one of those too. When music was really music and life was beautiful. I'm grateful to have lived in a period that will never be what it once was to our generation. The concerts, the albums, and my youth. Yes, life is still beautiful and I'm still here to remember it...
@@johnr1294 that is an understatement lol
SS is the "elephant in the room"...LOL...
Sad, both on the long decline.
Neil is holding on and can do it but not Stills. People get old and well that is that.
Long may they run. Doesn't make it better. Stupid caps and ugly tartan worker shirts don't give credibility to millionaires.
They haven't earnt their money from robbing people like bankers and politicians. They play music that people pay to have and see. I sure wish Stills would stop drinking. His voice is shot and it's starting to affect his guitar playing.
He's practically deaf, that's why his voice is shot
Duh, he doesn’t drink, he’s deaf.
They really should stop performing. Please retire.
Stick your arrogant opinion,,, you know the rest. Simple. Don’t go to their shows or listen to them, because you certainly can’t hear them. Have a nice day.
Burned 🔥😫
