Bollocks! I bet Neil pukes in his mouth when he hears that bullshit. Grunge is a buzzword used by tabloid writers to describe music that fit a specific formula. Anything heavy or innovative out of the 90's was not grunge. Eddie Marblemouth Vedder and the whole Nevermind album are grunge. Alice in Chains, Soundgarden, Mudhoney, Neil Young, Screaming Trees... are not grunge. Even a good chunk of Nirvana's stuff isn't grunge.
@cameronjohnson3529 before you set you hate to Kelvin temperatures, consider 2 points...first Neil joined pearl jam for the mirror ball album, secondly, check out pearl jams performance of love reign o'er me on the who tribute. Eddie delivers an amazing vocal. I wasn't a believer until I saw this. Well worth a look. Personally I don't think Neil gives a fiddlers fart what people say think or do. His focus like any true artist is on the muse.
You cant help but love these guys. What memories. The protests all the people we met along the way. What a time. Love all you guys. Happy birthday Willie.
Ok so their voices have diminished over the years. No surprise there. Still two great song writers who will always hold a special place in history of music
I understand people’s comments about Stills voice… but I remember reading where his hearing is pretty well shot… so it goes hand in hand… and he’s an old guy … now… so maybe cut him some slack… music is what he’s done all his life… I’m sure Willie appreciated that he was there… Happy Birthday 🎉 Willie !!!
Again I say GREAT to see these 2 old friends making music Again! I'm thinking the autism benefit they played a couple days ago took a toll on Stills already diminished vocal skills. Happy to hear him regardless, happier to hear and see these guys together again!
@@Hanzyscure Thank you for your comment, Stills has always been 1 of my favorite composers, picker and songwriter. I have noticed his declining speech capabilities, didn't know what was causing it.

This is essentially, if you are in your late 30s to 40s, seeing your grandparents friends pay respects and do their thing to honor your grandparent. Age gets us all, and this is incredible. Life is short, enjoy as many beautiful moments as you can. One day you might just run out of them.
I disagree. There are fans that really want to see them perform. One could make the same argument for Bob Dylan. For me, I look at Dylan as an icon, literally like a Rembrandt. As long as he's breathing, I'd like to see him for all he has done, musically and otherwise, for who he is. Aging is all part of life. People can choose not to go watch them perform while others still can. Similar to Stills and Young.
Most of us are not who we were when we were young, but that does not negate who we were when we were young...getting old happens to us all, and if you were young when CSNand Y were at their height, you would never say anything but words of integrity when speaking of them-
There is an impressive amount of video cameras and equipment befitting the lineup which one would hope results in a TV special or DVD release. Also that would give a chance to improve overall sound quality with some post production sweetening. While I am sure the audience really enjoyed it live, phone captured videos are not the best audio. Stills is past retirement age and obviously does not perform very often either.
Purtroppo Stills non è più in grado di cantare. Certosono una copia di fratelli-coltelli storica. Ma gli anni almeno per Stephen si fanno sentire. Neil è sempre un top, buon per lui! Peace & Love and THANKS THANKS THANKS to both of them ✌
@@biffbowers99 He's a Nashville studio musician named Tom Bukovac. He was part of the band but wasn't playing with Stills and Young. He's a brilliant guitarist and musician. He has a youtube channel if you want to check him out.

Just watched the cbs willlie Bday special. Didnt see this neil and stills part on the show. I thought how could they not have neil young on since he and Willie did all those farm aids together and neil did a country record with Willie and waylon and some others. I’m gonna dis the commenters about the ‘old guys’ singing quality here because there’s a lot of factors that can affect your voice. Not just age, but also weather, having a ‘summer cold’, bronchitis, sore throat, poor stage monitors, etc. It’s commitment to their craft that puts them out there on a bad night. “The Show must go on”.❤ If you ever had to go on stage with a bad cold loaded up with cold medicines and a few shots of whiskey to get by, then you’ll know what I mean!
sounds like Steven's lost that beautiful singing voice ok.
