@@Henry_ctech do you even use iPhones? You have no idea how bad or good. You’re just here to spread your misinformation and frustration. How many people use the features androids are offering? No one!!! Still iPhones are reliable and some people like you complain about it
Respect to the iPhone 1. It blew everyone away back then. Brilliant touchscreen with rubber banding, plays videos in widescreen, played your music with cover flow. Nothing came close. Still watch the iPhone launch event now and again. Steve Jobs was a master on stage.
It did, friends who had a 3G and eventually myself, had the entire class around us when we whipped it out the first few times. It was like having a flying car when others are travelling by a horse. All of the iPhone's functions were there in other phones prior, but they just didn't work at all and had a boring image: made for busines men in suits. They had resistive touchscreens that you had to press hard, possibly with a stylus. Or they used a cursor and a physical Qwerty or T9 keyboard so browsing the web was almost impossible and very slow. The iPhone was the first computer that fit in your pocket, that was fun and easy to use. Everything just worked without any lag and as fast as a laptop back then. The first cool smartphone as well: having a 3G(s) with the white apple earplugs (with the very innovative remote control for skipping songs and ajusting volume), was like driving a new BMW, the ultimate status symbol. Basically it felt like living in the future, which it sort of was. Those Apple keynotes by Steve Jobs were also viewed live by many from all over the world. Every year they added essential functions: the third iPhone (3Gs) was the first to have a video camera, first to have copy/paste, twice as fast, then the iPhone 4 was the first device we had ever seen without any visible pixels on the screen, and was entiirely made of glass and metal. I never liked the 5/5s and the 6-8 designs were never really innovative, but in hindsight the perfect balance in weight, size and an aux jack. The 10 was a brief moment of Apple being Steve Jobs' Apple again, but ever since the company lost all its glamour to me.
I still use my iPhone for basic tasks: communication, productivity, taking photos, payments and audio streaming. That’s it. Companies like Apple, Google, Samsung, Facebook wants you to think that your phones are the most important thing in your life, but in reallity those are just phones. People tend to exaggerate the importance of modern smartphones.
I mean, they are more than that. Just because you choose not to use features that most people do and that are important to others’ lives does not mean you are smarter than everyone else who has been duped by phone companies. grow up

When you searched for iPhones it felt weird to see the iPhone 16 displayed on that almost 20 year old LCD screen. Makes you think about how a screen can really show anything that has happened, is happening and will ever happen if the pixels are arranged in the right order 🤯
Wow, 17 years ago! I remember working at a popular large electronics store the day after the original iPhone was released. A wealthy customer had one and was walking around, drawing attention from everyone. People were "ooohing" and "aaahing" around him. It's true that the iPhone no longer has that same effect today.
My iPhone 16 Pro Max has a SIM tray because I bought it in Japan. It is way too small and difficult to handle. This iPhone 1 definitely reminds me of my two iPods that I had. So satisfying!
What this video shows is that progress in smartphones has slowed tremendously. The first iPhone was transformative. The 16 is an incremental improvement over the past few iterations. The shape and size of the original is actually far more hand friendly and ergonomic than today's mini-tablet sized Maxs. The original icons were far more detailed and cooler. The new ones are bland and corporate. Slide right to unlock was brilliant. Swiping up offers literally no advantage. Earphone jack is still missed - Bluetooth earpods will never have the duration of corded earphones using the phone's own battery. Original has huge bezels but... it doesn't have the ugly 'dynamic island' which is a bug being marketed as a feature. Chuck the latest battery, processor and screen tech at an iPhone 1 sized and shaped phone and I reckon there'd be more than a few buyers waiting.
Would be great if they made a new version of that with same shape but smaller bezel so with a slightly bigger screen and new chip inside i would buy one . I used the mini 13 and was great . Its a pitty they didnt make the mini 15 or mini pro
iirc when iPhone 1 was released, I had a Nokia N95 8GB, 2.6” screen with a slide-away keypad, and that think was a true symbian beast at the time… until of course the iPhone turned up and made it look instantly antiquated.
