There are literally people I've seen on Twitter who pay for an illustration for their model to be based on, make a Twitter account, use a bunch of the Vtuber hashtags and if by a certain time they don't get the amount of followers they expected, they go "Sorry guys! Life has gotten in the way and I'm going to have to graduate" and then you see them 1-2 months later on a new Twitter account doing the EXACT same thing. I've literally seen a single person "graduate" and then make a new Twitter like 4 times now.

If someone's being annoying, it takes two total clicks to remove them entirely from your online life. For as much as people talk about Twitter as though drama and toxicity is unavoidable, my feed is actually extremely clean because I aggressively used the functions of "hide this tweet", "Block this user", etc., to the point that these days I could go weeks before seeing anyone starting shit for no reason. Part of that sort of Twitter experience, too, is looking for it. If you follow reasonable people and don't engage with unreasonable people, generally you just won't encounter it. In very many cases I've seen, even ones where there was some kind of hate mob coming down on someone, there was some amount of provocation (whether intentional or not) by that person. This is many words to say, if you're seeing a lot of drama on Twitter, you were looking for it. Because it's so easy to make it so you don't have to see it if you really didn't want it.
The general consensus is that if you block people it means that what they are saying is somehow getting to you. I just mute people who spam me with stupid shit.

Sometimes its the fault of the talent, other times its the fault of management and other times no one really is to blame for it, just shit happened and its best to end things in good terms. Graduation because we assume that the person is moving on to something else and will grow more (which is not always the case). In the case of Vtubing for the most part its even worse as that character usually dies after "graduation". Its not common for people to keep the rights to their models and their characters although it has happened.
