One quick question. I did an endoscopy two months ago and diagnosed with chronic gastritis. By the grace of God, i was drinking some supplement that had a little bit of zinc l carnosine and i want to think it helped me somewhat. As of now, i have no heartburn but only slight burning in stomach when i eat food for about half an hour. I think i am about 60 % healed. My question is can i take digestive enzyme to help with digestion. I still have indigestion. I drink celery juice in and between (not on a daily basis though). I bought the zinc l Carnosine and will supplement daily until i get well.
@OswaldDigestiveClinic I haven't been able to find zinc carnosine where I live so I am wondering if I took zinc and L-carnosine together if it would create the same effect? Thank you. 🌺
A more supportive supplement may be needed to first to help heal and coat the stomach lining before adding in zinc carnosine. One way to get zinc -c, is using a supplement like GI Revive, that has mucosal lining supports along with zinc-c.
I recently took it for 5 days 1 dose per day from pure encapsulations. I feel bloated and pain now. Like it might have made things worse. I even took the Zinc Carnosine with food. Would this be sort of like a die off reaction.
Ingredients in the zinc may be the culprit to your symptoms. You may want to try a different brand and begin with 1 cap every other day or even every 2 days.
I have below 2 concerns about zinc carnosine. Kindly clarify. 1. Does it reduce normal stomach acid level 2. Do I need to take a copper supplement along with it, since zinc reduce copper levels
Zinc Carnosine will not reduce stomach acid as well, it is advised to take 15-30mg of zinc per day as well as not taking it consistently without breaks. In this way, zinc will not reduce cooper levels.

I have chornic gastritis would approximately 2 months of this supplement should be enough?
It is recommended to take supplements for at least 3 months and then re-evaluate their effectiveness.

It is not hard on the intestines. It is a great healer...however, taken on an empty stomach can cause intestinal and/or stomach distress.
