This is a nice piece of hardware, but I have found it almost impossible to use with Sketchup. To use the orbit tool in Sketchup with a standard mouse, you hold down the wheel. But to activate the orbit tool with this mouse, you have to double tap on the center strip. And then it doesn't work about 3/4 of the time.
So glad I watched reviews on this item. It is not what it is advertised as. It should NOT have to be curved to work. It SHOULD be a remote/mouse in one. AS ADVERTISED!
I love this mouse. I had to train myself with it though because it feels different and, like you said, I wanted to push down near the top. This didn't take long for me to get use to though. Also, the mouse does have a middle click function. All you have to do is double tap the middle of the scroller.
I have bought a few days this mouse and I find it very uncomfortable: its shape "curve" and "empty" (inside) is very uncomfortable. In fact when I use the mouse does not know where to place the pinky finger (usually the pinky finger rests on the body of the traditional mouse). It is a very important factor that makes uncomfortable the mouse during its use. Do you agree, too? Am I the only one who thinks this?
I got mine today and I dont like it buttons are too hard to press and there is too much air under the mouse when you use it and therefore not a good place to rest your thumb. You really want to get better grip of the mouse because buttons are not sensitive enough and therefore require too much force to be applied to mouse. Also no bluetooth I would had loved to get rid of the usb thing like I did with my arc keyboard. Range is terribly bad my laptop is half a meter away. Only plus are the looks.
here listen to this..... nothing.. lol but yea i got mine today. i was using a microsoft mouse 6000 before.. and it is amazing. i loved the other mouse. it had a back and borward button, feels great in ur hands, looks great. this one took some time getting used to, the only downside is it doesnt have a back and forward button, but looks very cool
I just got mine today. You CAN MIDDLE CLICK. Double tap the middle...it double clicks, and if u hold it stays double clicked....Didn't you do the quick tutorial when u installed the software?
@01rai01 Well, I've owned it for a while now and I don't have anything bad to say...It has all the capabilities of your typical computer mouse(I'm sure...just look at the tutorial), and it's very portable, you might think it would break, but I've put it though a lot of use and it'd working same as when I first got it. A great buy, worth the price.
Just make it work in the flat position! There's nothing necessary or comfortable about the curve shape for small hands. How does this not exist yet for Windows?
+Adelphius Because u don't need software on the mac to use this... it works great when you calibrated in the mouse settings... Battery lasts a few months with normal use so its better to use Rechargeable instead... I have the Red Magenta color limited edition and my clients love it when they see it cause its small, stays flat when not in use and curves to a almost full sized mouse when turned on... I have also bought a white and a black color of another European mouse that has started to compete with this Arc Touch Mouse and the best of this Eurpoean mouse is that it folds flat like a small smartphone and turns on when you curve it like a spine... Its also Laser instead of Blue/red tracking and the best its that is rechargable... Battery last about 2 months but charges quick. Its super feather light weight and automatically goes to sleep when not being moved, used, touched after 5 minutes to preserve battery. Its very unique and very elegant. Also sometimes hard to acquire as not known online stores don't carry it... Its really beautiful and the name of the mouse is "Recon Visenta"... U might find the usb version for about $30+ and the Bluetooth version for double that amount! Yup, worth every penny if you ask me.... Also there's a custom leather pouch especially made tot he contour of the MS Arc Touch Mouse made by a Europe company and no one makes it like them... Also I found that nice brown or black leather pouch with a pull up tag in the back that are made for iPhone 6 (not the 6+) fits perfect for the Recon Visenta Laser mouth (2.4 Laser wireless with 800 - 2000 dpi speeds)...
well i got it in 2021 and it lags so much idk why anyone have a solution pls it's driving me crazy i even tried new batteries from different brands still lags
bough it in promo for 11.5 pounds, and lets see, dont usually like this kinds of small mice and cordless devices. i have big and just feels real great, by far was the best cordless mouse really surprising
Hi, Have you got any kind of issue with your device this time?, I've read that some people has problems with it, like it dissconnects suddenly, and it kind of turns off and doesn't sync with the laptop, what could you tell about that? :) thanks
i was going to subscribe to the channel after seeing the unboxing, but the review is not thorough enough for me, no software test on Windows, they usually have additional function, and you don't even care to find out/google about middle click first before reviewing, poor review
I hate this mouse. It's a pain to use, literally. Two reasons for this - one there is no support for the thumb and ring fingers and two - there is no physical scroll wheel which makes scrolling more clumsy. Yes it does looks cool but my 5$ mouse is more ergonomic than this.
Dear Microsoft: I hate this mouse so goddamn much. It is always shitting out on me. brand new the mouse decides to just stop communicating with my computer. I wish i could take this piece of shit back and get a refund.
this mouse fucking sucks. I have tried to use it on my windows 8 computer and my mac and both computers recognize that it is connected but when i try to move the mouse it gets all choppy and doesnt move where i tell it to go. waste of money.
of course you are going to say that, people who write reviews for products like this mouse have a vested interest in how the public perceives the brand name (probably because they cut you a paycheck in one form or another)

There actually is a middle click button. You touch the metal sensor in the middle twice to get the middle click option.
works fine on Mac
I love this mouse. I had to train myself with it though because it feels different and, like you said, I wanted to push down near the top. This didn't take long for me to get use to though. Never knew you mastered UA-cam since the beginning of time...
Lol
@rigolin1771 wait until it renders, just uploaded...eventually will be in 720p...

It is a very important factor that makes uncomfortable the mouse during its use. Do you agree, too? Am I the only one who thinks this?
***** Yeah I agree... Just got it recently.. and i have exactly the same problem.. Kinda like to use my cheap wired Genius mouse more..
just got one - and this is in January 2020. so it hasn't changed in 9 years?! wow
did they have other versions at all?
yes
You said " Batteries supposed to last 6 months, time will tell." How long did they actually last you, and how often did you use it? Thanks
I just ordered mine..
awaiting arrival
Don't you just love yours?
Will this mouse pair over bluetooth and not use the dongle?
In Windows you can program the middle button to do whatever, including back.

i just noticed , the day he uploaded this video is the same day as the Egyptian Revolution !
Do you have to push down with your finger to click or can you just tap like a track pad?
@HELLPINAVENGER i mention that in the video
Yeah but the question still remains unanswered, does it work together wit Apple computer? :D
Are you going to review this on Thatsnazzyiphoneguy's channel?
How is it in Gaming Environment? Especially with 1st person shooter.
I use this mouse with my macbook air and think its great better than the magic mouse made by apple themselves.
My mouse is Bluetooth and didn't come with a dongle
Arc touch for 25 bucks, should I get it?
@NeonKizen no, it's smooth
its funny how the MS Arc Touch Mouse even the original version are the best portable laptop mouse for MAC's.... !
here listen to this..... nothing.. lol but yea i got mine today. i was using a microsoft mouse 6000 before.. and it is amazing. i loved the other mouse. it had a back and borward button, feels great in ur hands, looks great. this one took some time getting used to, the only downside is it doesnt have a back and forward button, but looks very cool
@Shad12Dash hey what are thoughts on it now is it worth buying
A mouse with a scrolling wheel have opening and closing gesture when you press the wheel down, does the Arc Touch have it too?
Is it worth $60 or more like $20?
I just got mine today. You CAN MIDDLE CLICK. Double tap the middle...it double clicks, and if u hold it stays double clicked....Didn't you do the quick tutorial when u installed the software?

@NeonKizen hell, maybe smoother if you feel like turning down/off the vibration
you can personalize diferent controls
Can it pan with this mouse?
Dont think I could trust magnets that close to my new laptop.
How loud is the clicker? Its make or break for me as a student
Very nice mouse, had it for about a month. Very good quality mouse. love it.
does this support any multi-touch gestures ? Such as pinch to zoom, 3 finger downward swipe to minimize ?
Nope. But the 2018 variant has
is it a good school mouse
i lost the dongle that goes with this mouse is there a way to get a new one?
Very neat mouse.
how do I turn the scroll wheel sound/vibration off on a Mac?
It is writing there is also horizontal scroll feature on the box but it doesnt do horizontal scrolling. So it is trash.
I wouldn't be hating on this if all stores didn't outmode the normal Arc Mouse because TOUCH EVERYTHING IS HIP
argh
there are back , forward and midle click buttons on the touch pad atleast mine has
Does this have side scrolling?
@incompletesentence calm down, i just wanted to make sure people knew what they're were getting
will the usb work for a desktop?
mine doesn't bend can you do a fix video and that?
Why bluetooth? How would that help a device that is already wireless?
hopefully this question isnt meant to be serious
Ansaro1 How so? It is a valid question... Can you not answer it?
***** You do know that the bluetooth connection is used to make it wireless right? How is it supposed to work without bluetooth.
+Ansaro1 it is not a Bluetooth mouse. It has a USB adapter that uses a proprietary version of wifi for its connection
zollotech That makes sense and is what I would expect but why was bluetooth mentioned then?
Is it compatible w/ windows 7 and 8?
Hmm I wonder why they don't include software for the mac :P
+Adelphius Because u don't need software on the mac to use this... it works great when you calibrated in the mouse settings... Battery lasts a few months with normal use so its better to use Rechargeable instead...

It's great. I just slip it in one of the pockets in my laptop bag.

@stevenzv7 i think it's the other way around
is it bluetooth or it require that usb dongle?
It requires a USB dongle
But the surface version of this mouse is bluetooth.
MiTic0ChiVa Correct, the surface mouse is slightly different and does not require a USB dongle. This mouse does require one.
Does this mouse have any thumb button ?

No it doesn't
I wonder where you find those thumb buttons?

This a Microsoft Mouse with main purpose to work on Windows! Anyone did that test???? Really, get Apple Mouse for Mac and that's it!!!
240p FTW!
i was going to subscribe to the channel after seeing the unboxing, but the review is not thorough enough for me, no software test on Windows, they usually have additional function, and you don't even care to find out/google about middle click first before reviewing, poor review

I think i'll stay to my R.A.T. 9 :D
why did you buy a Microsoft mouse if you've got a Mac?? WTF D:
I hate this mouse. It's a pain to use, literally. Two reasons for this - one there is no support for the thumb and ring fingers and two - there is no physical scroll wheel which makes scrolling more clumsy. Yes it does looks cool but my 5$ mouse is more ergonomic than this.
Looks really small....and uncomfortable
Lol 10 years later it costs £80
Dear Microsoft: I hate this mouse so goddamn much. It is always shitting out on me. brand new the mouse decides to just stop communicating with my computer. I wish i could take this piece of shit back and get a refund.

this mouse fucking sucks. I have tried to use it on my windows 8 computer and my mac and both computers recognize that it is connected but when i try to move the mouse it gets all choppy and doesnt move where i tell it to go. waste of money.
Maybe you got a bad one. The one I had worked fine.
of course you are going to say that, people who write reviews for products like this mouse have a vested interest in how the public perceives the brand name (probably because they cut you a paycheck in one form or another)
I could care less whether it's good or bad, I want to give an honest review. I am never paid for any reviews. I won't take payment for reviews.
D:
That looks AWFUL! It must be a bitch on the hands/wrist!
+Stunatra Im using it right now! It is actually not that bad
