- In this mode every hit behaves like Hero's Thwack! So there is a chance to lose a stock by ANYTHING that deals damage! The higher the percent, the higher the chances to get thwacked!

You know, these guys sell a shirt with all the projectiles on it. If you can you make a mod that randomizes projectiles, that's synergistic marketing, baby!
Question: how does it work with pichu self damage?
Hero’s thwack does scale with Hero’s rage up to 300% where it is capped (I forget what the % chance it gets capped at), and it scales with the opponents percent. If the opponent is at 160% it is a 100% chance to kill.
It doesn't really scale with rage (technically), but with Hero's %. In Dragon Quest, the less HP the user has, the higher probability Whack & Thwack will kill.
How were you able to get these stats?
@@dandiggity5314 Some Japanese guy made a chart a long while ago.
Seeing how mods like these break so easily really makes you consider how much effort the smash devs put in to make sure all the unique character mechanics work with each other and don't break.

There's so many moving parts in the game that there's no way that anyone on the team truly knows exactly how every line of code works without having to study it. And theres so many things you have to test when working on a game of this scale, to prevent stuff like the ice climbers glitch from this mod from happening. They must have a very rigorous testing process.

Ice climbers set up a lot of glitches- remember when buster wolf softlocked the game early 6.0

Pretty sure this mod is tied to hitboxes, not damage itself. Pretty sure most self damage doesn't involve hitboxes.
@@Missingno_Miner no. It's damage. Vishera's showcase video demonstrates it applying to magnifying glass, sudden death, and self damage. The mod is even called "all damage is Thwack"
And they mean all. Even damage from training mode % setting.
Challenge: use this mod to kill with Greninja Up-Taunt, Belmont Whip Dangle, or Piranha Plant's crouch footstool attack thing.

Cool video idea, but the Thwack odds look like they are set higher than normal for low percents in this mod.
nah its just the fact that thwack hits are greatly increased in amount so it looks really common
I'm pretty sure if you had a machine gun firing regular Whacks and Thwacks, you'd see the same odds.

@@YounesLayachi you’re right, I messed it up with Wack. But seeing the way BSD were testing it, seems like if the moves did more damage, that would make them more busted because the game checks out if you die AFTER the move when the % has been applied. If the moves did more damage you would die more often. So in fact Thwack kills you more often.

So it scales with BOTH players. Now, if hero is at 0% it has a 1% chance of killing regardless of the opponent's health. It no matter if they are at 999% or 0% it doesn't matter it'll always be at 1% if hero is at 0%. It's a really weird mechanic lol

I like how VyQ always choose optimal characters for every mod but Cfive always choose the worsts and still get amazed when he lose 🤣
Man really saw that every hit has a chance to insta kill and thought "Hm, yes, Ganondorf, a character notable for big but slow hits seems perfect for this", and then still somehow won that particular match, thus not learning his lesson
They were picking Random, what? Neither of them chose their characters until the Bo5 started.
All of his picks in the bo5 were good though, except maybe Greninja was an odd pick considering there was so many characters that they tried before that looked much more broken (like Palu Pit Bowser ROB...)

All rapid jabs are busted, maybe Lucario would be dangerous with the damage of Aura Sphere charge, but NESS, Ness would’ve been completely busted with Fair, Uair, Dtilt, and Pk Fire
Note: Lucas’s case might be the same with his PK Thunder

Twack is based of your own percent plus your opponents its a combination of both
