You could create checkpoints for the courses with portals
How would you distinguish if they were part of the puzzle or just a checkpoint?
@@adrianalexisoscar1369 Put different colored blocks behind them, connecting a set of portals to each other. Then put a bomb block underneath the checkpoint portal that can't be broken from the other side.
That's true, although I think the idea of the puzzles is to complete them in one continuous attempt?
@@atgosh I agree, that could be it. On the other hand, if there are real points in which the player already gets to breathe a moment and scope out the next challenge, those points might benefit from being checkpoints to warp to. Like the room-to-room challenges in Celeste. But then again, no one's probably going to spend more than an hour on one of these, so it might not really matter.

I'm curious what you guys think. Would practicing on stages like these improve your recovery routes as that given character? Maybe it could be helpful!

I have this Incineroar obstacle course I made for incinecord, no other character can beat it
It teaches some mechanics and this cool tech with neutral-b
Starts on the left side (I have a yt vid of me completing it)

(The bottom is blocked off and has downwards wind)
1. You fastfall airdodge through the bumper
2. Foxtrot (spam initial dashes) to get through the wind
3. Saving your jump, use the spring and up-b down the lava opening
4. Side-b into the ice and delay your double jump until you get under the lava to grab the edge
5. Let go of ledge and side-b, jump airdodge into the bumper (recommended you tech walljump)
6. Do the short angled up-b at the teleporter by holding the opposite direction
*7. On the spring, you must hold jump for a super spring bounce and then time a delayed dariat right before leaving the spring (save your up-b)*
8. Once you reach the outside platform, there is a cannon above on the right that will shoot you into the wall which can help you get to the goal indicated in purple
