Help! Please help me if you can! The gimbal is behaving very strangely, moving crazily in all directions and I am unable to use it at all! Tried clicking the trigger twice...no luck. Tried pressing the function button 5 times and laying the gimbal flat upon the surface. Quitting and restarting. Restoring setting to default setting....but nothing seems to be of any use.
@@skyubadrumming Hello again. Have contacted the Smove support team for my problem and they expressed willingness to repair/replace the device. Keeping my fingers crossed till I am able to uncross them again to receive my healthy SMOVE:)

My new android wouldn't pair either so my daughter paired her Iphone and tried to update the Smove hoping that would help. Each time we tried to update her phone would say "timed out". So we're unsure if it did anything or not. She suggested trying to pair my Androd Samsung S20 again and what do you know it worked. Would be nice if the manufacturer had user videos on their site and a responsive help team.
Tried to do that after hitting the button four times to setup the time lapse. It seems that the gimbal joystick is disabled in the timelapse mode. Not sure why.
Time lapse is only for Pan Mode horizonally left to right, or horizontally right to left. It isn't for left left, right right, down left down, left right left right, 🔴🔵 + 🔻.
I've had a lot of problems with the motor freaking out on me. I have a little crack on the corner of my phone now that I'm pretty sure happened from the Smove banging it around. This thing takes a lot of practice getting used to.
Hey Hidden Gem, sorry to hear that! You definitely want to make sure it's balanced correctly so that when the gimbal is off and the phone is sitting in it, it should stay more or less parallel to the ground. If the phone dips to one side or the other, it isn't balanced and it could cause issues. If it is balanced and it still freaks out on you, then there might be another issue that you'll want to talk with SMOVE about. Thanks for commenting!

Ryan Burke I haven’t had it NOT work for me. However it isn’t as good as the Osmo when it comes to face tracking. Can you take a video of what it’s doing and send it to me on Instagram so I can see? @lightsciencestudios
For face follow, you have to click in the square. It will change from blue to red. Then it will follow but it is kind of slow. For object follow, you draw a box but you don't have to click on it. It will be green. I think object follow works better than face follow, even for faces. Both only work in the pan follow (aka half follow aka 320 degree follow aka default single click mode). If you try to use them in full follow (aka double click mode), it will give you confusing errors like full follow cannot follow faces or objects. I was like WTF. Follow mode can't follow...? Makes no sense. But anyways go to half follow and then it will work. It would be nice if smove actually had instructions but apparently they just gave a few away for free and then link to those people's videos. I thought DJI was terrible customer service but smove is way worse.
Finally someine ekse has mentioned the problem of this rogue attack the Smove does. Just starts to flip out often in the middle of shooting. Now can anyone answer how to solve it

I am not sure. I just got mine and I am going to play with it now. But something tells me you should not manually move it to start and end points. Maybe use the controller instead?
Just received this as a gift for Christmas, the back cover for the charging on usb phone cord was not tight no biggie they refunded a few bucks and I will fix myself. Question though I can’t get the zoom (w-t) to work at all, also the face follow is not working. Any help would be appreciated...thanks
Hey Bill, Not sure I can be of too much help here, but I'll certainly try! Really the only thing I can say is that both those features can only be used in the app. So make sure your phone is properly connected to the device, and then they should work within the app. If not, there might be a defect with the device, and I would reach back out to Smove about it. Hope you can get it resolved!
does this app also control the go pro? could I attach any other camera or is it only for the cell and go pro? I have a Panasonic Lumix DMC-LF1 I'd like to try with it.

Was wondering whether you could make a 'learner's video tutorial' about the basics of shooting video in different modes [pan, tilt, roll] with SMOVE mobile with emphasis upon the use of the FUNCTION button and the kind of video one can expect to have. Such a video should be targetted upon the basis of shooting video with the voiceover assuming that the target audience do not know what pan/tilt and other modes of video capture are. Mike Snyder are you referring to the external attachments? Because the answer there would be no, you can use them any time. But you can also use any built in zoom or wide angle functionality your phone has built in with the regular camera app.
Kirk Lindsey to usecthe special features like face follow and all that you need the app yes. But if you have a third party app that takes care of the other things you want it to do, and you simply want the gimbal to hold the phone, then you can use that no problem
@@skyubadrumming I like filmic pro but not sure if you're experiencing this to it crashes a lot on my Android phone not sure if that's just Android or is it happening with iPhone but what's the point of trying to use this app if it crashes all the time while you're recording
@@krazykk715 I have not used filmic pro so unfortunately, I don't think I can be of much help there. I also have an iPhone so that also wouldn't help. All I can say is that I haven't heard from anyone else who has had this problem, and hopefully it's just a bug that will get fixed for you in an upcoming update.
Alejandro A. Pisani unfortunately there is nothing that I’ve seen that offers this type of compatibility. Since it’s meant for a cell phone, it’s meant to use the cell phone mic... but I haven’t had any audio issues with it for what it’s worth :-)
Is it normal for the videos to save sideways to the iPhone when shot through the Smove app? They save sideways with the app, and normal without it. Totally annoying.
Kinga Mills are you referring to when you’re filming vertically? Honestly I don’t know because I never film vertically. But my recommendation would be to simply use the phone camera if that is happening with the app.

Light Science Studios actually it is locked. On screen the video looks normal. When I go to videos, it’s horizontal in a vertical setting. Really weird. I will try to take the lock mode off. Maybe that’s what is causing the issue. I can’t remember if I tried this already or not. Thanks for the suggestion.
I bought a smove mobile and I notice that the gimbal arm heats up that when you cant hold it. Is that normal? It happen when I was doing time lapse. Thank you
Marnetta Arnett I’m not quite sure what you mean? It’s been a while since I’ve used the app but I don’t recall any problems connecting to the smove through the app. It should do it easily based on the instructions that came with the smove.
Having face follow issues. Once locked in (with red square) stabilizer goes completely out of motion and drifts away from my face even when I don’t move 😕 help please!!
Bdash Muzik I wish I could help, but I’m not sure why it’s doing that or what you could try to fix it. I would say make sure you’re not in a cluttered scene and try it to see if it helps. Standing against a blank wall will make it easier for it to follow you. Let me know if you get it resolved!

Hey Alex. . yes currently I don't know of any way to connect an external microphone to this. It's not really made for that. It's intended to be used solely with your smartphone and that includes the microphone on it as well. With that said, I've never had an issue with the sound when using this with just my phone :)
I have a fantastic little RODE Mic that slides into the headphone jack of my Samsung Note 9...it is FABULOUS and so much better than the phone's mic! However, on the Smove, it makes the phone too heavy, and unable to balance. Can I use counterweights? Or would this stress the motors too much? My phone and mic weight total is 236g. User guide says load is 210g. But...are counterweights okay to use?

When setting multiple points use the joystick instead of forcing the motor. Might help.

Thanks Taq! You can use 24fps with your standard camera in your phone. It's just the app that doesn't offer it for some reason.
Have you ever been able to use the gimbal update feature? I can't get mine to do it. It gives me a "Querry Timed Out" message! Help!
I haven't yet updated it but I probably should. . I will let you know when I do and if I have any problems with it.

Dude... instead of 'fight me' i was able to set the first position and then use the motor to go to the second position... hell with the manual.

Some Gimbles are able to have an extension to add an LED light and shotgun mic, is that available on this Gimble?

Hey Ton. Sounds like a connection issue of some sort. I would try turning both off and back on and see if that can help fix it

While recording video in the App it doesn't record my voice properly. its too low. waste of money mate don't buy this shit.
