Please just stop. Brady's sole advantage over Montana is the pathetic Arena League era of NFL he has enjoyed, and the patsies he gets to play against every week and every year in his weak ass division to rack up easy Ws and playoff position - and a conference that Belichick has owned for two decades. Montana played in the 1980s where it was still not only legal and fine for defenses to light QBs and WRs TF up all day, but when it came to the elite QBs, they were *trying* to light them up and get them TF out of the game. No buddy buddy, "sign my kid's jersey" hocus pocus crap like now. Moveover, the 1980s NFC was the nastiest conference in NFL history, with several other teams in it besides Montana's Niners that were SB winners, with some of the nastiest defenses in league history. Parcells' Giants, Ditka's Bears, Gibbs' Redskins, Landry's Cowboys, and other nasty defenses like Philly's and the Rams. There is a reason the NFCCG in that era was always referred to as *The Real Super Bowl!,* and that the NFC of that era won the SB like 15 out of 16 years! Montana had to beat other SB Champions just to GET to the SB! It's also no coincidence that most all of the long time NFL passing records broken, have been broken over the last decade or so. Nor it is a coincidence that today's top QBs have magically been able to play for 15, 16, 17, 18 years, and remain healthy into their 40s - which was unheard of in Montana's era, because QBs were mangled by then. The NFL has become a glorified Arena League, where defenses can't remotely light QBs (and WRs) up like the 1980s. Brady knows it as much as I do, trust me.

Give me Rod Woodson all day. Best all around football player I’ve ever seen. All pro cornerback at 24 years old and all pro safety at the age of 37. That’s just crazy. Charles Woodson is #2 for me.
People forget Ronnie was a corner for the first 5 seasons and not just a corner the best corner during his time then switched to Safety then to be the greatest safety of all time,Just let that sink in for a sec....
Rod Woodson: Best all-around Ronnie Lott: Most Intimidating Deion Sanders: Best cover corner Darrell Green: Fastest corner Charles Woodson: Most talented Darrelle Revis: Most dominant
When you look at that round table, you have DPOY, SB Champions, Hall of Famers , two future H of F (Charles Woodson comes up this year and Darrelle Revis for 2023) There are a lot of names left off, but this is a hell of a round table.
Loved this roundtable...loved when the Woodson's bought up the fact that the real dogs and real great players gotta have that attitude that every ball comin' their way is "their ball"
I like the way these guys exude the supreme confidence it takes to be a great defensive back. Ask any of the great corners or safeties about who the best is and they will often say themselves...even when there is evidence to the contrary.
Plus the fact that the quarterbacks in Montana's era got hit just like every other player out there--there were no "protect the quarterback" rules when Montana balled--so it's almost impossible to compare Brady and Montana cuz two totally different eras--that being said, i love Brady but I'm a Montana guy.
I wished they would have talked about who was their favorite opposing receiver matchup! C. Woodson vs Owens, Reevis vs Moss, Lott vs Monk, Deion vs Jerry, R. Woodson vs Irving, and Green vs Carter. It would have been very insightful to listen to their thoughts/opinions about which receiver inspired them the most!
Yeah that would have been great to listen to them talk about their favorite WR match up. I was able to see all of their careers and on top of them all being great athletes, they were masters at their craft. Very smart players!!
My fave corner off all time.. dude was fast as hell on super tecmo bowl.. I was playing with the bills in the superbowl..and I threw a bomb to Andre Reed whom had a step on green . Dude catches up an snags an insane int..I lost the super bowl 42-21
Steve Atwater, Brian Dawkins, Ed Reed, Troy Polamalu, Leroy Butler, Derelle Revis, Richard Sherman, Ty Law, Ronde Barber, John Lynch, Merton Hanks and Tim McDonald my favorite secondaries growing up not at the table.
My favorite football memories involve Sunday afternoons on a clear, cool day...turning on NFL with Madden and Summeral taking about Montana, Elway, Marino, Rice, LT....all the super stars of that era. Great great memories of the NFL being physical intimidating and tough.

@@jlnolan1 If he had remained healthy I think that he is a candidate for the table. And of course they would ask him about the obvious subject of race.Chris Carter once accused him of holding and Sehorn said"tell your QB to throw a better ball" the QB was Randall Cunningham.I saw footage of him keeping Michael Irvin in check.
I've heard Deion say the best two pieces of football advice I've ever heard: (1) "If you don't like them running up the score, stop 'em." (2) "Take a chance. Don't be afraid to make a play."
This is definitely the best of the best cornerbacks! But I have to be honest, I've never seen anyone have better coverage skills on a receiver than Darrelle Revis! During his peak prime years, he would always cover their best number one receiver man to man.... He was so good on coverage that I've actually watched Top notch receivers get so frustrated and just quit and not want to play anymore, because they could not get open off of him!
Emmanuel Enyinwa I mean, I think I see where you’re coming from. Deion was defense, offense, special teams so he could control the game on 3 sides of the ball. But if we’re talking strict position, like Deion only as CB and LT strictly at LB then it’s not even close. LT dominated that position in a way no one has ever dominated a position
Pat Pete gettin the highest nod at the table of the grandfathers of the position is such a dope thing. He was such a stud at LSU and a generational CB for real. I can definitely see him at the table.
Great panel. I saw Aeneas Williams in the Nashville airport last year and it brought those memories of knocking Steve Young out for his career. It still stings. But he was the best that ever played along with Reed and Polamalu. Mad respect
Charles woodson is the most accomplished DB ever college and professionally. He by far should be top 2 if not 1 to anyone's argument. Dion is the fastest, and most athletic. They are the absolute best period... But Charles woodson is the TOP DOG at this table. In my opinion.
Man that is a table of greats right there. I miss watching the NFL fastest man competition. Cause they had some dogs then. Darryl Green won that thing like 3 or 4 times. He even beat Hershel who was an alternate on the Olympic team. I would've loved to see him vs Prime time.
Im a Skins fan for life, grew up watching Green, dude had hands like bricks watched him drop 30-40 picks that hit him dead in both hands, if he could catch, would've had 85+ picks, straight up!
Charles Woodson to me was the closest to Prime that anyone else has come. Prime was that guy, and I wished he was on my favorite team (and he almost was). I was so happy when the Raiders drafted Charles, seeing him play CB, WR, and Safety and at the level he played at and repped the Raiders the way he did. Having the Tuck Rule and then losing the super bowl and then going to green bay hurt, glad he got his ring but it should have been in silver and black

Six legends! 🙌
(they should've had Ed Reed join them at this table)

D. Sanders
R. Woodson
C. Woodson
D. Green

Darrell Green: Fastest corner
Charles Woodson: Most talented
Darrelle Revis: Most dominant
Champ Bailey: most agility cornerback
SassyMama 99 you do know this is a football segment right?? What does Lebron James have to do with this??
I'm no longer a fan of football but I love the men on this panel. My generation of heroes!
Greatest damn position on the field! Gotta be a straight up dawg to play DB! Green and Sanders was who I studied growing up!
Ronnie made it known my boy never lost lmao 😂
😂😂😂💯💯💯
Yeah, it's definitely to lose before the SB than in it. *eye roll
Chris Rey....YOU GOTDAMN RIGHT!!
@@heirling25 That's a really good point..but Brady is still the goat..
Jeez now that u mention that, how was that not the FIRST topic. SMH
Darrell Green was so good but most people don't remember him. Top 5 favorite player of mine

That was 20 mins? felt like 5, LEGENDS at that table.

It’s crazy I remember all of these legends playing DB. Nostalgia. I’ve always wanted to be in the room and hear them talk about those greatest plays and what they were thinking. This was a #homerun
Ronnie Lott is such a badass. Dude gave up part of his finger to keep playing in a game. He wanted it.
It all comes down to how bad do you want it.
Ed Reed said Lott is da GOAT because he has 9 fingers 😂
That was a bit of a myth though. He told the story one day in an interview on an Atlanta station, and it wasn't what people make of it. He said the tip of his pinky was removed and it happened during the off season.
Ronnie would lose half his salary in today NFL.. today players wouldn’t last in the league during Ronnie era
Nothing inspires me more then great athletes explaining what it takes to be great!
I have Green by a half step in a race with prime time in their primes. Deion was quick and fast but green had the speed of Mercury!

I've heard Deion say the best two pieces of football advice I've ever heard: (1) "If you don't like them running up the score, stop 'em." (2) "Take a chance. Don't be afraid to make a play."
I would have loved to hear them talk about the best wide receiver they played against
I think this is the first position table where all members won a Super Bowl
I feel that's why champ Bailey was left out
This is definitely the best of the best cornerbacks!
I’d take Revis out and put Bailey instead.
Deion "The GOAT" Sanders: most dominant football player of all time. Hands down.
LT entered the chat dog.
@@Magicstockton He was the most FEARED. Deion was the most DOMINANT. There's a huge difference.
Hands down the most dominant ever.... A corner

11:08 Deion Sanders: Greatest touchdown dance there ever was or ever will be.
Ty Law and Champ Bailey should've been added to this group too. 💯

Ed Reed too
Ronnie Lott, dangerous man..
Ronnie Lott looks like he should be the Star of Taken 4. Dude still looks intimidating.

Im a Skins fan for life, grew up watching Green, dude had hands like bricks watched him drop 30-40 picks that hit him dead in both hands, if he could catch, would've had 85+ picks, straight up!
20 minutes not enough we need a part 2
Charles Woodson to me was the closest to Prime that anyone else has come. Prime was that guy, and I wished he was on my favorite team (and he almost was). I was so happy when the Raiders drafted Charles, seeing him play CB, WR, and Safety and at the level he played at and repped the Raiders the way he did. Having the Tuck Rule and then losing the super bowl and then going to green bay hurt, glad he got his ring but it should have been in silver and black
when I think Charles Woodson, I think of him in the Heisman pose after getting a pick six. Legendary.
