best knee braces for dirt bike riding
Had my Mobius for the last 2 seasons. I love em and wouldn’t ride without them now. They’re rebuildable too.
thanks for sharing Mike!
These things saved my patella last week. Had to ride a cpl times to get the fit right but super comfortable now and barely notice I have them on. wouldn't ride without them now.
glad to hear that, thanks for sharing!
I bought these as well, unfortunately too late Haha knee surgery in March but I'll never get back on my bike without these! Great choice, they're very comfortable. I wore them to work and had zero issues for 8 solid hours. And I build houses and don't sit in a chair all day long
thanks for sharing Jason, wish you speedy recovery!
Mobius makes great wrist braces, too. A lot of times people wreck their knees, THEN start wearing true knee braces. Same with wrists. People should use these to protect from wrecking their knees and wrists.
I got one wrist brace as well, good stuff
@@dirtniron I believe the wrist braces are priced too high, but I believe it's a good product.
Mobius knee braces are the best, would never ride without them. 2 years going strong.
cool man, thanks for sharing!
Nice one Rado, I just bought the z frames from leatt, couldn’t afford the mobius or other braces. Love them tho and they so comfy I forget I’m wearing them! Keep the videos coming😉
cool Barry, any braces are ok, glad you got some!
Me too!
Wow!!! happy i came across this video, what an awesome knee-brace w/ the BOA system.
Glad it was helpful!
Awesome info Rado. I hope to save my pennies to buy a set for my son and I. I’d like to protect our bodies with best. The budget doesn’t always that . Thanks for looking out for your viewers. 👍🏼
Loving the Stormtrooper look, another good informative vid, It always amazes me how ignorant people are of knee braces, ai have had a bum knee for 8 years now, its fine most of the time, but now and again it just gives way, never ride without mine.
yea, knees are too vulnerable.. yet we often overlook the protection for them.. hope guys will stay little safer, and get something asap
Had mobius and I thought they were the most uncomfortable things on earth! Now got pod braces, in a different league of comfort, just shows everyone is different and because one brace is good for someone doesn't mean it will be good for you
Exactly. I had bought Pods, had to send them out. I couldn't even bend my leg in them, although the width of the brace was correct. I guess they are for a different anatomy altogether. You either love it or hate it.
@@nestserau yeah they are something you need to try a few to see what suits you, unfortunately hard to do as most places just carry one make
I tried 4 different brands and they all felt different.. this one fit me the best
Man, Rado, this is a good video. I wish I'd have seen this and been able to afford the protection when I started riding. Here I am, an old guy, and I've had my right knee and shoulder replaced along with 3 back operations where they fused and put in titanium metal and 6 screws. I need another shoulder and knee even as I write this. I'm not sure how much better I would be now with more protection but I'm sure it would have helped some. I had to have back operated on the third time because I broke 5 out the 6 screws.... I never know when to go easy. When I was younger, I was a bodybuilder and didn't think I needed all that protection......WRONG. I now ride with Asterrisk braces but I don't like them even tho they are correct size, etc. Looks like the Modius would be better. I can agree with the protection from the vegetation....a lot of it is out there to "ruin your day".....when doctors look at my scarred up knees they nearly get ill......
I got the POD knee braces they are the best in my opinion.
thanks for sharing Sean!
really cool explanation and excellent product.
Cheers from portugal
I’ve never had knee protection but now I think I will
I was think like you until I torn my mcl two months ago ,now I got donjoy knee brace.
Congrats on the proper choice! I also ride a Suzuki RM-Z and wear Mobius. And guys, don't listen to that KTM salesman out there who denigrates Mobius and sells you Don Joy. He doesn't know what he is talking about.
Aleks Nestserau nice OPINION
Totally agree, KTMs are too delicate RMs and YZs for me. I never met Kyle but he does seem kind of douche like. (In my opinion.)
So you are saying the don joy ones are not as good? I am only asking as the don joy are custom and they are covered through my benefits where these are not.
kawasaki000000000000 I think Don Joy is fantastic, but their impact protection is not what you need for motocross.
Just got Mobius after using EVS. The difference is night and day.
Mobius fir the win in overall fit. That translates into protection too. A brace the fits poorly can’t protect well. Mobius is also easier to put on.
thanks for sharing
Good video like always, had my eyes on them too and they look awesome..
I actually just bought a pair on Saturday. Haven’t ridden with them yet but they feel comfortable walking around. A few days earlier in the week I bought a pair of the Leatt Z frames ($299) but got a size too small. I went back to get the next size up but after I tried on the Mobius I could tell it was worth coughing up the extra $200
sounds good Brian, stay safe! ;)
cool video thanks you💚💚
Hello,
I am going on a very long motortrip for several months. Will be doing a lot offroad / adventure riding while being completely alone. I have never trusted those simple inner pads.
Do you wear these of your motorcycle trousers ? Cause there will never be enough space to get the trousers over such knee braces.
And will it noy become horrible wearing these 8 hours a day for months ? In 25 till 45 degrees Celsius ?
And can you walk with it ?
At first I thought that the brace would make you have less movement but now I think there ok but I think I should still get the knee pads
#first view
It depends on what you're doing on the motorcycle. I'd say you can get away with knee pads for recreational non-agressive enduro riding, but not for motocross or competition enduro if you still need your legs after a couple of seasons.
Super Braces but very hard to work with Klim Mojave pants - Careful what pants you use with these as they are bulkier than most. Same goes for Asterisk. Great vid brother!!
I have Klim mojave in the boots size 34. wondering if they will fit.
E Ong they didn’t for me. I wear Scott Black now and they fit great.
I wish I would have had a set of these back in August when I blew out my left knee. I still have issues now with mine. I don't care how much these are, I'd rather now have two bad knees or blow them out again.
sorry to hear about your injury bro, are you wearing braces now?
@@dirtniron I only have my normal knee braces, but I definitely need to pick up a set of Mobius'
Amazing video thank you 🙏🏽
welcome
I tried the Mobius braces out while shopping for mine and they were alright, they felt flimsy to me and didn't fit my knee properly, The pod K8's felt fantastic quality wise but once again they didn't fit my knee but it took a few times wearing them to realise they weren't right eventually I ended up with the asterix cell braces and they are very comfortable and very supportive, Any brace is a good brace though. Keep up the great videos mate
thanks Bob, sounds good!
Good job bro!
Thanks!
I have those braces. They mostly work good, but when I extend my knee and the brace locks, my knee goes back out of the cup. I have all the straps very tight including the back plate. Did this happen to you? how can I stop it?
i had my stopped little before the full extension.. did not bother me
Just curious - have you tried the Leatt X-Frame?
I'm thinking of that along with the Mobius.
not much experience, just tried them on at the store..
Braces or cactus protectors
both ;)
Mine fit so well that in the summer, I wear mine against my skin, and don't even get the least sign of a red mark on the skin.
thats cool, I need to try to run mine without the socks
I’m searching to get a new pair of braces just curious if you still like these?
they are holding up pretty well, got used to them quickly. I go back and forth between braces and knee guards.. good product
Do you think the Travis pastrana knee guards are good?
They are a soft knee pad. Good if you don't push it or are on a budget but they have zero hyperextension protection.
when you starting the rmz build?
Should be very soon, hope teardown next week.
How does it fir with your boots?
feels ok, but gets inside the boots, so top of the boot needs to be open bit wider to fit the brace.. not a big deal for me
How are they for front impact protection?
Rainerio Granados Very good. I can fall on my knees on a concrete floor in them from standing and feel nothing.
pretty good, I do kneel in them quite a bit while working on some stuff on the bike sometimes.. feels strong.. didnt have impact yet but should be good
Do they feel hot?
no, not yet ;)
Been looking at these, just getting ready to bite the bullet $800 AUD.
yea.. they are not the cheapest.. good knee braces are pricey .. but worth the $
PRO RIDERS get paid to call out a brand. and get for free. but what is under their pants , is what works and is comfortable. CTI . 2 big dogs crashed into me, tore ACL i cant dismount without my brace. ''it can happen many ways'' ha ha
spymaine89 Have you ever seen Villopoto riding? He actually wore Mobius.
@@nestserau never saw him getting dressed. ha ha . try both , make your choice.
