Multi-modal transport is the solution to replacing the car for most peoples commutes. Having special fast direct bus routes between population hubs, these busses maybe.electric, running on dedicated busways where possible and towing bicycle/scooter trailers. This gives people the ability to travel long distances, have point to point journeys and journey times as quick as driving a car in low congestion conditions. It's TFL that has extended the trials it's TFL that is gathering the data for legislation to legalise e scooters they say they need more time to gather data
We're all waiting for that Transport Bill to go through Parliament, then e-scooters will finally be legalised here in the UK 👌. Let's hope there's no more serious fatalities that hit the news. From what I know, the two needy considerations being ironed out before legalisation is battery certification (which also affects e-bikes and e-mopeds too) and minimum wheel size (12 inches).
No offense taken! Haha
Wow, you’ve got expensive tastes Eilis. £1,600 for a scooter; really? If we ever get scooters legalised (possibly not in my lifetime) the market will get swamped with manufacturers offering much better value.
Yeah, but EVs were all £90k when Tesla S just came out. They’re advocating for this to become more mainstream.
Haha ronnie
You really need to take an air horn with you when you ride a scooter. The scooter bell is so stupid.
SUR-RON LIGHT BEE L1E-X Road legal and with easy mod top speed 70mph😂 but on own Private land you can use a firearm
Lol, 250W??? what were you thinking? that would not even climb a small hill. you need at least 300W. mine is 350W and it could easily climb a hill, gradient of about 15-20. how much were you paid for that decision?🤣😂
oooh "Stakes is High" . i think since you uploaded it 100 pounds is maybe 35 cents US now lol good luck with that . Folks better be Pissed (not drunk but angry) when petrol goes sky high there and still can't ride a scooter
Most of us learned to ride bicycles as kids. And now that electric bikes are a thing even the exercise-averse can use them. Scooters certainly have their place with the young and 'keen to look hip' (hopefully it is not just a fashion fad and scooters do not all end up in landfill in 5 years) but I'll stick with the cardiovascular exercise my pedal-operated bikes offer me. Re the UK economy debacle and the exchange rate... that's (even a brief dip into) Libertarian economics for you 😀
@@alfnoakes392 agree about the cardio whole heartedly♥ . been choosing ebikes over scooters myself since 2006 . the poor pound is indeed getting pounded . wild that it was the worlds reserve currency before USD .
One of fossil fuel vehicle biggest crimes is MOT fraud this happens every single year .
And 250 watt motor is just simply ridiculous I would rather have a much higher motor with mph limiter and you shouldn't need a license for theses scooters or ebikes insurance yes just in case you do damage to other vehicles that would probably mean age limit to ride else your probably have children doing stupid things .
You should need a license for long as you’re operating on roadways you share with cars and motorcycles. Otherwise people ignore all signs and rules of the road and have a legal excuse - “I wasn’t aware”.
@@afcgeo882 licenses doesn't make you a better driver George it's another way of scamming you for details and making money and in the UK there are thousands of people without driving licenses that drive on the road today that doesn't want to be part of society the system and the police don't do a thing about them because there's an old law that still stands that you can travel from A to B without being touched it's an old horse and cart law .
For decades now there are thousands lying to there insurance company in the UK saying they live at an address when they don't they live in there vehicle just to get insurance that police ignore .
MOT fraud been going on for decades friends doing friends a favour .
@@afcgeo882 ignore the signs and rules lol 🤣 people already do that ,that is why there's a huge criminal profiteering business going on countries have different rules this creates jealousy between different cultures .
Licenses different cultures different rules and different tests creates jealousy.
Did he just call a liquid gas🤣
She picks the worse one 🤦♂️
Why is she saying ride on private land bruh police don't give a shit these days I go past them all the time lol go ride on the road if police chase you just get away easily
Because she is part of a team of a responsible UA-cam channel. Electroheads have a legal responsibility in their videos to not be seen promoting e-scooter usage on public roads. The retailers also have this same responsibility.
Police will certainly give more of a shit once e-scooters are finally legalised. This time around, Police will seize all illegal non-compliant e-scooters and will take them away and crush them once legalisation comes through. Be prepared!
@@chukidee6634 dont take the law seriously its crap every other country made them legal i think uk is only one of few to have them illegal im surprised everyone in the uk takes it so serious its nothing but a joke i laugh at it people are following a 1800's law LOL
@@chukidee6634 wdym by prepared im no idiot that stops for them ive been chased alot at 2021 and 2022 im not proud of it but it just shows how greacy they are one time i saw a video that there was more police caring about e-scooters and other crime raised since police was fucking them one time a cop tried blocking the road to stop me but it didn't work i went around him and i gave him shit and got away with it i went throw a cut throw where bike lanes and paths are so yeah easy get away
@@Marshall-Ridez I know what you mean but as it currently stands NOBODY wants to risk points on their drivers licence, a fine plus confiscation. People tend to do 'sneaky' rides on quieter residential roads away from main roads but I even see people riding them on main roads. The Police are fully aware of this and they are brewing behind the scenes awaiting legalisation so that they can then begin an en masse crackdown of all non-compliant e-scooters.
Not really sure i agree with the size of the deck, it looks like you can barely fit both feet on it. And the price point... Yikes!!🫣 Well i STILL have my beloved Classic M365 & Original Ninebot G30 Max ready to go as soon as legislation is sorted! On that note, now that Grunt shatts is no longer the transport secretary, will we ever get to ride our beloved eScooters legally??🤔
