Hi everyone! This is a tutorial on how to install the Homebrew Channel and apps on the Dolphin Emulator System Menu.

When I eject and want to put the sd card back to put more apps how do I do that
i was following. it perfectly till the part where i have to find the raw file i cannot find it anywhere im so confused
it was going how the video said until I installed open shop, I put it in the same directory as the video and it doesn't appear in hbc
I can't find sd.raw
You can also create a virtual SD card using only disk management tool (in windows) and create a VHD with a name of "SDCARD". Then mount it by double-clicking the VHD file. Dolphin emulator can use VHDs as SD cards.
Can you make some kinda guide for this if possible plss

ImDisk Virtual Disk Driver says "Locking volume..." when I click unmount, what should I do? Like something else or only click "Yes" ?
You can use this to install the latest version of ctgpr since the latest version is an homebrew app and is no longer a rom hack
You only need to mount the sd card after installing Open Shop Channel (OSC) if what you looking for is not on there
yea u need a real wii mkwii disk so if u do install ur gonna get alot of errors from dolphin, the wimmfi loader works tho

I can't launch the HBC using the emulated Wii, it just returns me to the home screen on a loop. If I launch the wad directly it does work though. Any way around it?
The HBC opens but it won't open ANY apps, even when I try to go back to the system menu it just pops back the apps. Am I missing something? Please help, thanks!
Can finally back up my Wii games on my Wii and play them on Dolphin and use mods and cheats, Thank you. :) Now I wish I knew how to install themes. :)

You should be able to though, because it has the Wii menu right?
@@Shadow-hr3ovNo you still can’t because to create Bricks to protect the wii from breaking and it sends you to menu you can’t access in a emulator.
I wonder if this doesn't work with the newest version of Dolphin. I followed this tutorial step by step, but when I try to launch the Homebrew channel, it freezes up my remote (all 4 lights come on). I can turn on my second remote and navigate the channel that way, but it's pretty clunky having to do it that way, and if I ever need to use a Homebrew app/channel that requires player 1 input, I won't be able to.
im pretty sure that now there is already a virtual sd card in another path you cn just go into the wii settings and see it, btw you WILL still need the midisk driver thingy idk
Hello! For some reason when I try to mount the virtual disk gets me an error: 0x800FFFF “Catastrophic Error”, is there a way to fix this? I’ve tried restarting, re doing the sd-card and deleting the imdisk virtual. Nothing has fixed and I can’t proceed. If you can (or somehow that’s reading this) help me? Thanks.

I did everything in the tutorial but the homebrew browser won't show up on the homebrew channel.
Edit: I forgot to put an apps folder on the virtual SD card, nevermind xD

Everything was going well for me until I reached 3:28. In the SD Card Maker, it gave me an error. It says: "This batch file couldn't able to locate the Dolphin profile. Try place \Virtual SD Card Maker\ folder into your current Dolphin profile!". How do I fix this?

You don’t need bootmii on Dolphin, that’s only for real wiis

2:43 I'm pretty sure the "Allow writes to SD card" option is only available in the Beta versions. At least, I can't see it on my version of Dolphin

Hey, can you help me? Whenever I load the Homebrew shop it says "Requesting Homebrew List, and freezes, and then crashes. Also, the game I'm trying to play is a homebrew app (CTGPR) but dolphin just crashes when I load it up.
Try reinstalling the WAD for the Homebrew Channel. Unfortunately, I don't think CTGPR works on this.

I am getting "Do you want to allow this app to make changes to your device?" as a standard user. It is asking for an administrator's PIN!
You aren’t on an administrator account. If you don’t have access to one, you can’t do this.

(I have it on Spanish so i wont say it perfect) Open Dolphin, in the top bar (where is open, pause, stop, etc...) Go to controllers, then go to the wii controllers and set the first one as an emulated controller

i have a problem when i'm trying to create the apps folder windows gives me an error that i cant and the disk is corrupted any help ?
Try recreating the SD card
as of may, this works, but you have to select the option with FAT32 in it in the sd card creator, and you have to go to config, wii, and you may see SD directory. change it to the location where you put your SD.raw file, and there you go!
For all who did exactly what the video said but still not see anything on the Homebrew Channel:
You are probably missing IOS58, which Homebrew Channel needs to be functional!
Just open the 'dol' file of it in Dolphin and reinstall the Homebrew Channel wad afterwards. Then everything should finally work.

Hello, I have problems about Virtual SD Card Marker, So I use it on windows and open app, now I wanted 16GB for enough if I press 9, it has color red and it says "This batch file couldn't able to locate the Dolphin profile!" And I don't know what should I click, yes or fix it. Can you explain this problem please?
does the virtual disk thing only works if the dolphin is on the documents?
if it is i have no idea how to put my dolphin to document folder.
So I put the files on my virtual SD card, and whenever I boot the homebrew browser through the Homebrew launcher, it just shows a black screen and that’s it. So do you know how to fix that?
Try reinstalling the Homebrew Browser app file

Making a virtual SD card doesn't really seem to help me. I follow the tutorial for that exact, and I made 3, and dolphin doesn't really want to have it useable. It will say the device in the Sd slot can't be used... and prevent anything from happening. Nothing shows up in the homebrew... so that's really frustrating.

that sd.raw file is the one already created by dolphin. you’re not gonna want to use that one, so you need to put the open shop channel the new virtual sd card.
The Virtual SD card program thing couldn't find my "dolphin profile". Is there something I'm doing wrong, or any dolphin setup I need to do ?

i can’t find the zip file for the open shop when i click the link it takes me to a different page then shown and there’s no option for zip file

I was following perfectly up until where you had to eject the file for the open shop channel (OSC)
I can't open my homebrew browser and I downloaded it from the NUS Downloader thingy, does that have anything to do with this?
so i have the homer channel (altered homebrew channel) WAD i can do it with that too,right?
Channels like the Homer Channel are forwarders, I advise to not use them on Dolphin.

Yes, those channels are forwarders. Those are *not* altered homebrew channels, the actual channel when you open it is not in that WAD, it actually tries to redirect to the actual homebrew channel WAD, which isn’t recommended on Dolphin

It’s not working I’m getting a error on the sd file
I’m trying to get Project M Ex for Dolphin but I can’t get a vSD for some reason. When I chose a size option in the Virtual SD Card Maker for Dolphin, it turns red and says at the top “This batch file couldn’t able to locate the Dolphin profile. Try place \Virtual SD Card Maker\ folder into your current Dolphin profile!” It still lets me continue to “make” a vSD but it doesn’t show up in the Dolphin Emulator folder or on my desktop.
It says to try placing the .bat file into the Dolphin Emulator folder. This folder is in your Documents and is usually auto created by Dolphin

everything worked very well, but there is a problem, WHERE IS THE ARROW?, I will not be able to enter the homebrews without the arrow, can you tell me what is happening?
Are you using keyboard and mouse or are you using a controller? If you have your keyboard at default settings in dolphin, it should work, as for using a controller, it should use the gyro inside it if it has it

When i go in documents there is no dolphin folder
try looking in "C:\Users\YourUser\AppData\Roaming" It should be there

Help, when I run the virtual sd card bat file, I pick 16 gb, and a red screen pops up saying it could not find a dolphin profile. PLEASE HELP AND REPLY.
Have you installed dolphin not in the standard location?
@@BananaPlaysGames it is downloaded on the standard location, but it is bringing errors on the virtual sd card batch code.
Does the screen allow you to specify a Dolphin location?

so I followed this to a tee and everything was going fine until after I placed the homebrew channel into the apps folder. After that I ejected and unmounted the virtual sd card then launched dolphin and then homebrew. I am stuck on a bubbles screen

You would need to install channel forwarders for that, and they don’t work on Dolphin.
Okay so my Wii System Menu looks different and it won't register me hitting A at all. It won't load up. I buttoned-mapped an Xbox One controller to play Mario Kart Wii [which I can load and play easily] but I can't use the Mii Channel anymore.

When i mounted with imdisk virtual disk with the file sd.raw it created a new volume but it doesnt have anything in it

Every thing was going great until i reached 4:23 and When i click ok its says “The Parameter is incorrect” how do i fix this
It tells me it can't find my dolphin folder and says it will save to desktop, yet nothing's there when I close the window

Guys for this to work you need to change the directory of the SD card to the virtual SD card

If I download the home brew browser, can I download the tool that lets met use wimmfi servers for online play?
In fact, you don't need to homebrew the Dolphin vWii to use Wiimmfi servers! The tool you need to use Wiimmfi is a Windows app that will patch the game you want to play for Wiimmfi.

it didnt really work for me as the unmounting part got confusing i need help
when this didn't work because i did it wrong i realized still some of my free space was gone, and i could not retrieve it, how do i (i force unmounted it so it says it does not exist but my free space is still gone)

But you Can't Update the System Software anymore... So I cant start any apps (except the disc channel) from the Wii Menu... I have to use the dolfin app itself.
Unless..... Somebody has a file with the up-to-date System Software (if its not illigal.).

you can't install .exes on mac. there is no mac version of imdisk.

on Android how it works, for example how can I create an SD card on mobile, since on PC I can open it with the notepad, but on mobile the notepad does not work as on PC, how do I do it?
