It's honestly funny watching someone stumble through this game without being familiar with the usual trappings of the genre. It can be a bit confusing and opaque to get into, but Palworld makes it a lot more approachable than a lot of the other games with how much the pals can help you to get and refine your resources.
That was cool. I'm happy that you are enjoying this game so much. Be careful who you piss off, and always plan out an escape route before you do anything like that. Nightwing is amazing pal, try to get a few Daedreams and pit one after another against Nightwing to wear it down and catch it. Make sure to dodge its attacks while your pal is attacking it. Prepare a bunch of spheres because of the low capture rate. Or you you could just level up a pal to level 9 or more to battle Nightwings. They are very worth catching, though.
You sound so chill. It's rather endearing. You also have the same distraction problem I have...except mine is trying to grab eggs or Lifmunk statues and capturing merchants.
I myself have built up my base so much and I'm so busy trying to make sure everyone's doing okay and everything, it makes it difficult to leave now. I run a chill and basic (yet slightly modernized) base and seeing some of my pals with low sanity has me zigzagging trying to make sure they're taking breaks. I even built several hot springs (which I recently upgraded to high quality) to help them take breaks, even having a force a couple to in a few cases. Now it's just a matter of getting better food in there than just the berries, because they deserve it for working so hard at the base. I even periodically cook certain dishes by hand to basically give them a treat and or make sure they're eating properly, even feeding them by hand sometimes. I did recently make the electric kitchen which allows me to make some better food and make use of some of these ingredients I've had sitting around for a while, it's just a matter of getting it all cooked at a decent rate... Morale has taken a big hit because of the high level raids lately, so trying to recoup and keep them safe had became a priority... Busy busy busy! Had little to no time explore lately because of all this, I'm level 40 now and only just now discovered the icy and volcanic regions...

@@shardinhand1243 i'd say that's the best feeling. to be distracted by something just means you find it more interesting than whatever else you were otherwise focused on. if an open world game can distract me with plenty of interesting things without even trying to, that's a great gaming experience.
Getting distracted is part of the charm, be sure to look at the background and landscapes if you can see a place at the distance you can probably go there!
I loved this game, it reminds me a bit of something I love that isn't actually pokemon. RLcraft is a minecraft modpack that includes some creatures you can tame, and well, the world exploration, building, resource gathering and taming, hits home in this aspect
If she's in single player, she can change the settings to make structures never deteriorate. So you can build a nice expansive border crossing house, just don't put any Pal-required/chests outside the bounds.
I built my first base inside the ruined castle on the Beginnings plateau because there were only two ways to get into the base. And a chest would appear in the corner. It was alright for a while but I ran out of room. Luckily, I made another base in a larger area. One mistake I made when starting out was to not catch pals. That's the fastest way to get lots of XP. Get your pals to do everything when you can because exploring the world is a lot of fun and dangerous. There's a lot of depth to this game.
As much as some stuff were almost painful to watch like missing the starting direction, house outside zone etc. in the end it's super fun to watch someone's first experience! :D
"Ok, I need to stop being distracted by everything, we can come back an- oh my god what is that?!" Loved that! 😂 I think a lot of people had the same experience (myself included), By the way, you can press and hold the key 4 on your keyboard and choose the more aggressive (or defensive) behavior for your pals. And in regards to Daedreams - they end up being part of one of the strongest damage setup ingame (on the verge of just cheesing the game).
The Palworld Experience: Level 1: "Can i punch you? Will that do any damage?" Level 50: "How many times can I shoot you before you die? Damn it, accidental headshot. Welp, let's go find another dungeon..."
In my own headcanon i like to believe that Palpagos Island is just the Australia of the pokemon world, a place to send their most hardened and deranged criminals.
**Starts and inmediately goes the wrong way** **Builds her first base outside of the base area** U know, ur doing it all wrong, but you are doing it in a cute way, so i forgive it.
Honestly, the biggest reason everyone struggles in the beginning is because of Pokemon. Yay. Caught a rattatta. Now I can just kill the rest. No. Its palworld. These aren't fuzzy buddies, they're _resources._ Catch 10 rattattas. Took me forever to figure out thats the main way to level up. Repeat catches. Once I did, I had 15 levels in just an hour. Those chickens never knew what hit them. I still only have 2 depressos, though. One regular, one alpha. I just can't bring myself to hurt them. I *feel* you, buddy.
World settings can be edited at any time. For Solo play, I would recommend setting the structure degradation to 0 so you can build outside the circle indicated by the PalBox. There are a few "bugs" in the game, there are definitely some bugs, but some are more just janky stuff resulting from structures you build and the blue circle that also indicates the area Pal's can operate. Sometime a rock, stick etc. can make pals that can transport lose their pathing. Like totally make a base inoperable. Wood is a bad material if you have fire pals in your base, got raids on in world settings and fire pals attack or if there is wandering firetypes in the area and a pal that hit's by walking or running into them. It will burn to the ground. I have played around with multi level structures lately, and it seems to work as long as the entire Palbox circle + some is covered in foundation, no unexpected ground item, rock, ore or tree will spawn leading to transporters going insane. There might be some fixes to how building works down the line as currently I have seemingly unsupported "roofing" (floors) 3 walls height with connected walls in some places, but only within the range of my ground foundations, not sure if this is intended or a bug, as there are no support pillars yet. But this has enabled vertical building for my Main production base, and I would recommend 4 walls height if you don't want some of the larger pal's to clip their head trough the floor.
You can disassemble any of the stuff you built on the shore to get resources back. Any things you built outside of your base may slowly decay. If you keep playing this game, dodge rolling and sliding make the experience more fun.
A)I built my base on that beach, it's a nice cozy place, struggled a little bit early to get resources but after I built mining and lumbering areas in my base everything went smoothly, best thing about this location is that it's immune to raids. B)It's actually a huge misconception that Herbivores are all docile and friendly, some of them are actually more dangerous than carnivores, they will attack and kill humans for other reasons besides eating (protecting territory, defending their young ones, etc).
The atrocities soon begin 👀 also a tip for ya: right click whenever you're building foundations/walls and you won't have to go back to the menu for every foundation/wall :)
Aw, I mean... You got surprised by pals eating humans... but... Have you ever read some of the Pokemon lore (Pokedex entries) and what they can do (meaning they did or keep doing), especially the ghost and psychic types? xD Cool video btw.
Funnily enough, when I started playing two nights ago, I made it a point to explore/setup camp on the beach where we wash up. Why? Not a single person I had watch play Palworld had done so. So imagine my surprise when you did the same thing _but on accident._ Also, I just started a new base in the same clearing that you did. Not too far from there is a Small Settlement, where you'll find two merchants you can buy and sell. I guess I'll have to subscribe in order to see what other weirdly identical things we do.
Not to be the bearer of bad news, but this might help you in the future... your house is built outside of the blue line denoting your base radius. Your pals won't defend it and you can't use stored resources to continue building it.
That said you can change the rate of decay in the world settings so you don't have to worry about your house blowing up randomly.
Just move the palbox a little bit to the right to cover the house. No problemo. Either way is fine, but resource sharing chests will be the bane of our existence outside of the radius
….That is bad news!

I loved this game, it reminds me a bit of something I love that isn't actually pokemon.
RLcraft is a minecraft modpack that includes some creatures you can tame, and well, the world exploration, building, resource gathering and taming, hits home in this aspect
Something about your voice puts me at ease, it's great
LOVE your character design
Thank you!! My avatar is my pride and joy
If you had just titled the video "An OL plays PalWorld," I would have clicked on it even sooner lol.
will look forward to the lets play series
Nice video. Pleasant to watch and listen to. I will continue to watch this series. Thanks for sharing.
Your home will slowly start to decay since you’ve built out of your base radius, may that hawk have mercy on your soul
If she's in single player, she can change the settings to make structures never deteriorate. So you can build a nice expansive border crossing house, just don't put any Pal-required/chests outside the bounds.
I like your voice I like your energy😄, looking forward to more videos!
You’re so cuteeeee. Please make more Palworld content 😭
Thank youuuu! I will be uploading more soon :D
I like watching people's first time in the game and yours was very funny and very organic lol. You were just playing and doing what you wanted!
7:22 The standard Palworld reaction: see something cute, make it yours by bashing it over the head. 😆
new youtuber got recommended to me? nice! have a sub, looking forward to the next video
"Ok, I need to stop being distracted by everything, we can come back an- oh my god what is that?!"
Loved that! 😂 I think a lot of people had the same experience (myself included),
By the way, you can press and hold the key 4 on your keyboard and choose the more aggressive (or defensive) behavior for your pals.
And in regards to Daedreams - they end up being part of one of the strongest damage setup ingame (on the verge of just cheesing the game).
Sudden recommended but good narrative here a sub.look forward for more video.
hell yeah nice video!
At 11:34 you missed a green capture sphere on the ground which is better than the blue ones
Good eye!! I didn't catch that even during editing! :O
u did great loved the video
Also fun interaction that if you kill things near neutral carnivorous pals they'll come to eat the bodies which makes them despawn
Weird that this was recommended to me, but it was an enjoyable video. Thank you!
The Palworld Experience:
Level 1: "Can i punch you? Will that do any damage?"
Level 50: "How many times can I shoot you before you die? Damn it, accidental headshot. Welp, let's go find another dungeon..."
In my own headcanon i like to believe that Palpagos Island is just the Australia of the pokemon world, a place to send their most hardened and deranged criminals.
**Starts and inmediately goes the wrong way**
**Builds her first base outside of the base area**
U know, ur doing it all wrong, but you are doing it in a cute way, so i forgive it.
Word 😂. She went SO far without a base, but it was adorable, so all is forgiven
Honestly, the biggest reason everyone struggles in the beginning is because of Pokemon.
Yay. Caught a rattatta. Now I can just kill the rest.
No.
Its palworld. These aren't fuzzy buddies, they're _resources._
Catch 10 rattattas.
*runs to saftey of home and locks door*
*turns around to realize missing back half of the house.* XD
A)I built my base on that beach, it's a nice cozy place, struggled a little bit early to get resources but after I built mining and lumbering areas in my base everything went smoothly, best thing about this location is that it's immune to raids.
B)It's actually a huge misconception that Herbivores are all docile and friendly, some of them are actually more dangerous than carnivores, they will attack and kill humans for other reasons besides eating (protecting territory, defending their young ones, etc).
You're so right! I debated adding a little comment about herbivores on the video, but I hadn't so thank you for spreading this knowledge!
@@nyogplays No problem ;)
legit, no idea why this was recommended to me but im glad it did. keep it up.
That's where I built my first base too.
Looking forward to more Palworld content
During construction right clicking to place object continues building with the same object.
Believe it or not, your styles reminds me of the older days of UA-cam. You've earned yourself a sub.
I love your content.😊 Do you play video game play throughs for other games?
I'm now intrigued in how did you manage to go backwards in the starting zone when the game spawns you looking at the exit of the cave
Nyog:
It's drinking water! OMG
me:
No, it's eating a critter that croaked earlier, actually. Probably a wild pal that got caught up in the crossfire.
The okay lets goooo meme is what i live for
The atrocities soon begin 👀
also a tip for ya: right click whenever you're building foundations/walls and you won't have to go back to the menu for every foundation/wall :)
Good thing I'm not the only one who immediately went the wrong way...
We are on the same boat!!
Great vid!
btw you can build consecutively be right clickinh after you select a wall or foundation
Aw, I mean... You got surprised by pals eating humans... but... Have you ever read some of the Pokemon lore (Pokedex entries) and what they can do (meaning they did or keep doing), especially the ghost and psychic types? xD
Cool video btw.
Most of the ghosts either kill kids, or are dead kids.
Humans in pokemon are just the larval stage of ghost pokemon.
Never thought of exiting a battle by building a house around myself lol
Funnily enough, when I started playing two nights ago, I made it a point to explore/setup camp on the beach where we wash up. Why? Not a single person I had watch play Palworld had done so. So imagine my surprise when you did the same thing _but on accident._ Also, I just started a new base in the same clearing that you did. Not too far from there is a Small Settlement, where you'll find two merchants you can buy and sell.
I guess I'll have to subscribe in order to see what other weirdly identical things we do.
If you right click instead of left click, you can build a wooden wall over and over again without needing to re-select it in the menu.
Piplup. You've earned a sub just for that.
