Ani was my first niche fragrance purchase. It brought me to this obsession and joy of loving perfume again after years of not wearing fragrance at all (damaged olfactory system several years ago and couldn't smell much of anything, and then hated my then signature scent once smell returned). Ani was such a joy to experience that I got excited about fragrance again. Now I have almost 200 fragrances, mostly niche. Ani brought me to you, Sebastian!

Ani is my favorite fragrance to date. I just recently got my X collection sample set last week and have been loving Ani X. It’s amazing to finally to be able to comfortably enjoy Ani in hot weather!!
Definitely a fan of Ani. Awesome as a stand alone and, given the vanilla nature of this frag, it is one of the most 'layerable' scents I have. Looking forward to Ani X.
Agreed, a top "layerable" scent. I like it with Givenchy Pi. They are a tad bit redundant/similar, but Pi is a bit weak and Ani adds more bottom foundation and base.
I think it will shine more in cooler summer evenings. Cecil Z is definitely need to make more perfumes love her formulations for amouge too
Big enough fan of Ani that I might not need Ani X, because once I fall in love with a fragrance, I tend to not love flankers or 'reinterpretations' of them, because they're already 'perfect' to my nose. Like, you don't need to paint a butterfly. That said, it sounds like if I ever desire a lemony fragrance in my collection, Ani X might be the way to go! Thanks for the comparison!
I like ANI it’s not a love because on my skin the dry down smells weird, but it’s my skin. What I do like is to layer it with Aventus, it’s amazing!! I bought Electimuss Imperium for that reason. I haven’t tried any of the anniversary ones. I’m more curious about Hundred Silent Ways X and Fan your Flames X. Thanks for the review Sebastian!!!

I have never been a fan of Ani because of its sharp opening. My nose cant pass that opening for a long time. I dont get vanilla much so it has never been a vanilla perfume. Ani x has softer opening and i can sense vanilla this time but still not fbw for me.
I have the original of Ani and did not even know about the X collection. Thanks for the info.
if you live in london and its 15 and below in the summer ani x is ok to wear, but in any other country where it is 17 plus degrees and above ani x is not a summer fragrance, its a cold weather fragrance in my opinion.

So sorry to hear your allergies are acting up again. Here in New York I have been dealing with allergies and the poor air quality due to the Canadian fires. Hoping we both get relief soon. I haven't tried any fragrances from Nishane. I am currently testing Plum In Cognac. I will probably order a bottle tomorrow. I just received Amouage's Guidance today. These pricey fragrances are dipping into my wallet ... lol. Feel better, Sebastian.

Ani X seems intriguing bcuz i always struggle on when/where exactly i should wear the original Ani. Ani is a very hard scent for me to pin down what it is im trying to do with it

Tried all x collection. Hacıvat x is fine. Ani x is just not worth it. Smoother than ani but lost its signature green vibe. Still great tho. Ani is simply the best

Need to get a sample I didn’t care for ANI it smells like vanilla extract which is a lot cheaper because I can buy Vanilla extract at Whole Foods.
I tried the x collection except hsw since i dont like the original. I really like fan your flames x although it is more generic than original. Original is great but too masculine for my taste, x is sweeter and softer. I have not tested the original wulong cha so i cannot compare the original and x but x seems to me nothing special. It is not bad either a good smelling green tea scent. Hacivat is great freshie yet strong scent for men. x is still masculine for my taste. Original is brighter x is smokier to my nose. Both lovely.

Disappointed to hear that the X version’s performance isn’t as good as the original and in my humble opinion it should’ve outperformed it. Hopefully in the near future we can get an Ani Oud (Ani Aoud).
Maybe I'll layer my Ani on a lemon body cream to get the vibe.

I love the original Ani and an added lemon touch sounds great to mix it up a bit. Going to end up getting a bottle when it’s available here in the states, hopefully while it’s still warmer out so I can try and pull it off in the heat. Great review as always!

…thanks Sebastian for this ! have/love Ani and Hundred Silent Ways…can see lemon would be a great addition, slightly cutting and adding juiciness to a very rich fragrance…still, don’t feel compelled to pick-up, perhaps in 30ml?, not a fan of the “X” labels…
Ugh Ani is a hard NO for me blech. And I like spicy fragrances but I don’t even get the vanilla in this bc it’s so overpowered with spices. I also get nothing powdery or creamy about this but I wish I did. I’m gonna try the Ginger Essence though from your other video, sounds nice.

The original Ani might be my favorite fragrance in my collection. I bought the X collection sample pack and I wanted to love Ani X but it took out some of the things I personally loved about the original. The big cardamom/ginger blast and the beautiful sweetness are all gone and Ani X to me is mostly green with just a hint of sweetness.

Thank you, Sebastian so much about this video. Original Ani is is in my top 5 for sure. I have worn it in August heat, and while it is a presence, I love it so much that it doesn't bother me. So, depending on price, I might get the new one, so the summer wear can be a bit more tame :)
I would really love it if you could do Xerjoff Uden vs Uden Overdose. I need help making that decision.
Fars is an interesting scent from Xerjoff I can recommend.
Liked ani but was way to peppery intense I’m really excited for the c line in all of them for I sold all my nishane because of the oakmoss etc especially in hacivat and ani
I was hoping they will come out with B 612 X and for ANI X they should just turn up the woody notes
I don't think it's one of their big sellers so I doubt they would create an X of it?

Thanks, Sebastian! Yes, I am impatient! I really want Ani X. Original Ani is in my top 5 ever perfumes. However, I can't wear it un the hot, humid summers where I live. The lemony start in the X version you describe reminds me of something I love about another summer only perfume for me, which is Byredo Gypsy Water. I don't love freshies, but there's something about lemon with those stronger woodsy notes I love.

I never understood this one. Way, way too much ginger/cardamom for me in Ani. I can't tolerate it and I love vanilla fragrances.
Yep if you are not a fan of those notes you won't like this one as those are prominent! :)

I am not a gourmand fan so couldn't get into Ani but the Ani X might be up my alley. I absolutely LOOOVE the original Hacivat however, it looks like they have changed the formula and cheapened it somehow - the top note has a very strong lemon pledge scent and the gorgeous oakmoss has been tapered way down😢. I will try the Hacivat X even though it's a different dna.

After this will be the Nishane XX line and then Nishane XXX 😄. I love Ani btw. I would classify it as squarely gourmand, to me it smells exactly like those frosted lemon cookies. I don't think I'm interested in the X after this review, I like the vanilla heavy aspect of the original. If the lemon note reduces the vanilla, I might not like it.
