Thanks for putting together such a comprehensive training. I'm gonna reference this video often for instruction and inspiration. Plus, it's good to see guys with long arms doing planche and HeSPu with perfect form. Thanks
I only say that you are special! you have inspired me! I am going to try and improve my routine arms! thank you very much for showing your beautiful way of working! from Argentina my congratulations and a hug!
thanks for the motivation man! I'm not doing a lot of all this, cause I'm running half mile races and also I race some endurance mountainbike races, but you are inspiring man!
Fantastic video, I'm really glad you've shown the process leading up to how to got to the point you're on now. I've done HSPU (wall facing) before, but I didn't do a long building to it which is why I wasn't super successful at them I believe. I think now I'll give it a go with actual strategy (and that I understand far more about muscle groups) this time. Brilliant video/work thank you!!! Kei
I was looking for exercises I could do to get me gymnast type strength and these are some very good ones. stopped lifting weights so I could master control of my body. thanks for making this video
Great strength! And good video! Great to see someone do that 'basic' pushup variation too. For the sharp observers, I wonder if you noticed what made that different to most normal pushups that actually makes it significantly harder, and more applicable to planche pushups+90 degree pushups. Hint: I'm not talking about how low he goes with the pushup
I can't seem to do the planche type pushups yet, the best I have right now are: A clap behind the back and infront pushup, A 2 finger 1 thumb 1 hand pushup. "the Tripod Pushup" Awesome vid dude.
Hey everyone, just to clarify why his arms appear really long - the video has been created with an uneven aspect ratio (in this case squashed laterally inwards) so everything will appear narrower and higher. This is why he looks shorter when flat to the ground, and taller when vertical. And why his arms look long at the top of a pushup (when they are extended vertically) and shorter when bent and more parallel to the ground. It's just image distortion
after watching your first video, i attempted to do it on my own making up exercises and i'm sitting at one right now, i'm gonna try and work this in and see how it goes, took me two months just to get to one
Great! Could you suggest what would be better - one set with large amount of reps, or maybe few low-rep sets (with the excercises from your video, of course :) )? Thanks!
W000t ur amazing thnx for the excercises was looking for this vid a looong time Congratiolations you now have huge arm muscles, next goal: 6pack and huge abs ;)
@db500092 Im currently training via the 20 elevated route. Im able to do ard 20+ in one go. Then a short rest after Im able to continue for abt...... 50 plus times with breaks in between. Thanks!
Maybe you should tell us what number to achive at each exercise to move to the next one for example how many stoop pushups should we be able to do, to move up to handstandpushups, that would help a lot.
@geoffcraft Im pretty fit, I workout with weights. I havent trained mutch with stuff like this, nor can I do alot of those crazy moves. What are some things I should work at to be able to do these advanced moves. Great video!
Great video. Please answer when does one progress from a variation to another? How many reps should one try to achieve? How much rest does one need? Thanks in advance.
Geoff were you able to do the 90 degree pushup solely through progression in bodyweight exercises? I have seen other calisthenics trainers supplement their bodyweight workouts by adding weights to their training as well, curious as to what you did to prepare yourself for this.
It will take a lot longer than 5 or 6 months to planche. Most likely a few years at the earliest. Although it depends on your starting level of strength of course.
@@Manta2006woah, blast from the past. Well ...I got to where I could do the pike press up and could do straddle press up/seated straddle press up pretty consistently. The 90 degree push up never happened. Could kinda do a straddle planch pushup which I'm happy about. Honestly the straddle press up is good enough, impresses people but an epic shoulder workout too.
@ that’s insane. Im 18 now also trained the pike press and 1 arm handstand and v-sit to handstand for about a year and got consistent with the skills until I got tendonitis in my wrists September last year. Haven’t touched handstands since then, been working on muscle up strength and reps as well as just the basics. Do you still do callisthenics or moved on?
Hell Yeah!!!! Looking even stronger now then before. I have to know. How much do you weigh and how tall are you. If you don't mind me asking. Gymnastics is a pure weight to strength ratio obviously. I've been making stupid excuses like 190lbs. is too heavy for a perfect full body planche.
hey, you progressively train all of those in order like that, right? and do you continue with the previous ones when you expand to the new exercises, for the most part?
@mattrowe182 id say do 3 differetn styles in 1 hour 10 to 15 reps each..you cant do all these work out in one day unless ur already in really great shape..
2 questions: Did you train one type of push up everyday and then move to the next or did you attempt all of them daily and just increased the reps. How long (roughly)did it take you from start to finish to accomplish them?
hey thanks for the different types to build up on but if i am going for the ultimate 90 degree push ups how much of each thing should i do and how much times a week
greetings. i recently started training.. i believe i need to focus more on my core than my arms. any tips to getting my core up to shape? to give you an idea of what i'm up against, i can barely hold a tucked L-seat or i can only do dragon flags with bent knees.
Hard to say...But, this seems to me like more of a coarse you should follow from start to finish. So, for instance you should train knife edges to a point where you're comfortable enough to try the Body extension push-ups...Or at least that's how I work & that's how I feel to make progress...still can't do the 90 degrees but, it'll take A LOT of time.
@tutoradvance Girls have lower center of gravity due to wider hips and narrower shoulders. It is unlikely you will be able to do them, regardless of strength.
Thanks Coach Geoff for inspiring me, I have always kept this video in the back of my mind from the first time I saw it 4 years ago! Your the man!
Watch it again
Well, the best step by step video about the subject that I saw until now.
Congratulations
You are the man! Great to see someone that young with the discipline to put the time into doing all this. You will accomplish great things in life.
2:49
I'm that guy in the background that paces around for 60 seconds before his next set. This guy is a monster. Insane core strength!

from Argentina my congratulations and a hug!
So Awesome!! Excellent work at the end; unbelievable!!
Nice! I picked up a couple of new ideas for my workout. Thanks!
Nicely done! The best video about push-up i've seen.
5 stars !!!
thanks for the motivation man! I'm not doing a lot of all this, cause I'm running half mile races and also I race some endurance mountainbike races, but you are inspiring man!

Liked this video a lot - felt like it was a starting place to learn your mad skill
I was looking for exercises I could do to get me gymnast type strength and these are some very good ones. stopped lifting weights so I could master control of my body. thanks for making this video
Now THAT was a very informative video. A bunch of push-ups I didn't even know existed. Awesome.
Great strength! And good video!

Finally a decent video that actually teaches how to build the right muscle groups in order to do the Planche and 90 Degree Pushups. Impressed.
Awesome, thank you! i've always wanted to know the warm ups for this!!!
Very great video, it is very useful !! thanks a lot
Amazing, I'm working toward this, thanks for the great video. i might post my Planche as a video response.
I am still mesmerized by those arms. They just don't look natural o.o

Bn
It's because the video is stretched..
im gonna try this build up, it looks very logical, thanks, i am i think around the planche triceps so got some way to go
I can't seem to do the planche type pushups yet, the best I have right now are:
A clap behind the back and infront pushup,

Great push ups brother, I do some of those but not all. :) Great stuff
Everyone wants to do pushups after seeing that! Amazing!
after watching your first video, i attempted to do it on my own making up exercises and i'm sitting at one right now, i'm gonna try and work this in and see how it goes, took me two months just to get to one
How did it go
They are some of the hardest pushups ive ever seen fair duce to yea for been able to do them.
Great tutorial...thanks for giving me a method to work on such skills.
...must be harder on a mat than on the floor though, no? (re: final demo)
great vid. this man has the longest arms I have ever seen.
Great! Could you suggest what would be better - one set with large amount of reps, or maybe few low-rep sets (with the excercises from your video, of course :) )? Thanks!
what a beast! thats mad, im gonna try to get there!
i love this video!!! thanks !!!
You've got some long arms! and your strong as hell.
Doing this is gonna be my New Year's Resolution for this coming year.
W000t ur amazing thnx for the excercises was looking for this vid a looong time

Geoffcraft@ how would you train to be able to do legless pushups what exercises
Good tutorial!
AMAZING!
holy shit man! I wish i have arms like yours
i'm 19 and have a lot of free time on my hands. might as well learn to do this. it would make my breakdancing complete.
How did it go

should we do the banana arches and rocking arches before the planche push-up
THANKS!!

@geoffcraft How many times and sets do you do of each push up exercise?
If I wanted to start this how many times a week do you do it as well?
that trizeps is amazing! 1:26
great
1:34 planche pushups puts a lot of strain on your shoulders/back as well as wrist...
is it really good for an exercise?
First! You're just pumping out videos
Long arms, short arms, no arms...all I know is that I can't do it and he sure makes it look easy. Good job
2 questions: Did you train one type of push up everyday and then move to the next or did you attempt all of them daily and just increased the reps. How long (roughly)did it take you from start to finish to accomplish them?
oh my lord.. i just found myself a new goal.
thank you for this video
How did it go

So awesome
good job mate
That is sick!
Are these exercises done in this order switching from one to the next as you get stronger or do you train all of them on various days?

@payaNsChannel Its just the video Frame thats all.. But yeah it does look like he has really long arms
how many of each needs to be done? and how many for the banana arches and arch body rocks?
bloody impressive
@tutoradvance

thank you !!!
How can you improve balance for the planche? I just can't seem to be able to lift my legs of the ground and hold them there.
how do you know when you're ready to move on to the next step? like do you have to be able to do at least 20 of each etc etc...
