    I will definately give them a try. I love crumpets and as I live in Hungary I rarely get to buy some as they don't sell them here. I always bring a batch back from U.K. and freeze them but they disappear so quickly :) My biggest problem has always been that they stick into the rings, no matter how I oil them, no matter what rings I use they will never come out in one piece, but you have given me a brilliant idea of using silicone rings so I have just ordered 4 of them on Ebay :) The recipe is also by far the easiest I have seen. Will keep you updated and thanks for your brilliant site! I have used so many of your recipes :)

    Best crumpet recipe on you tube...I will never eat Trader Joe's crumpets anymore after watching you and seeing how simple they are to make and how fresh...I've always loved foods with holes in them and crumpets are no. 1 on the list...I may live in usa, born in Ghana; but my tastes are British through and through...DO U HAVE ENGLISH MUFFINS RECIPE THAT CAN PUT the Thomas' usa brand to shame? I betcha do...just subbed...and why not? I like great food and you've got the chops for whippin' 'em up.

    They looked great did you cook these to freeze and re cook later as they had no colour to the top? also where I come from in the uk we call them Pikelets, I think some of your viewer have got muffins mixed up with Crumpets,English muffins are cut in half and then toasted hope this helps, great video of yours will make these soon, hope they turn out as good as yours regs from UK

    • @MaZEEZaM
      @MaZEEZaM 5 років тому +1

      Eldorado1253 these are certainly not pikelets, that’s something we also have often here in Australia, usually with jam and whipped cream on. Pikelets are like small sweet pancakes. Crumpets are what he made, they are always cooked twice, first time only on the base, how he showed them so the top will be blonde. They are then usually stuck in a toaster and then topped with butter and either Vegemite or Peanut butter, or butter and jam.

    Just made a small batch...a dozen....using aluminium crumpet rings...and I like to let them settle after cooking .... then turn the bland looking side down on the grill to brown slightly. Tonight I am going to try crumbled Old Croc (aussie cheese) sharp cheddar and bacon bits...slide under the broiler (griller)...sounds like it should be yummmmm !
    Also I love Golden Syrup on them, with butter, of course....and then sit in the bath tub to allow the topping to dribble down and onto my chest...great to eat such, in the tub, with my wife !!!
    And I'm a Happy Little Vegemite, too, soooo, smear on the Vegemite on these , too. Marmite if you can't find Vegemite, tho it is still a substitute for good ole Vegemite !
