  • This isn’t your regular muffin recipe! Our blueberry muffins only take 90 seconds to cook and are completely keto, meaning you won’t have to wait half an hour for them to bake, or experience that classic sugar spike and crash. Plus, don’t be surprised if you come back to this dessert night after night-it’s seriously addictive.
    Incredibly sweet and nutty from the almond flour, with surprisingly tart pockets of flavor from the blueberries, our keto 90 second blueberry muffin will surely satisfy all fruit lovers out there. For those on a keto lifestyle, fruit is often reduced or eliminated entirely, but berries are naturally lower in sugar and carbs, so they can be incorporated in small doses. Apart from tasting wonderful, blueberries are also high in antioxidants, making them worth being included in your next meal or dessert.
    The presence of allulose means that this muffin is naturally sugar-free, but you definitely won’t be missing it with the addition of vanilla and deliciously creamy Greek yogurt. It’s very easy to whip up this sweet treat. Simply combine the melted butter with the rest of the wet ingredients (taking care to incorporate it fully for no lumps) before adding in the dry ingredients. Don’t forget to fold in those juicy blueberries before placing the mug in the microwave. Oh, and did we mention that this whole process takes just under five minutes?

    Looks great! I bet a little lemon zest would up the flavor and not throw the macros off. Please don’t listen to the nay-sayers. The world is full of people who like to express their opinions. I say opinions are like arm pits - we all have them and they all stink! Appreciate all you do.🌺

      Thank you 😊 Also I can 100% recommend adding some lemon zest (and a quick squeeze of juice)!

    Thank you. Looks easy and delicious. If I bake a whole chocolate cake I eat it in about 3 days. I can eat this and be pretty sure not make more than one mug of cake.

      There's a chocolate cake version here, too, which might help! 😊 ua-cam.com/video/STrOOqCG2Ws/v-deo.html

    New to the keto diet.Just out of curiosity.What is the consistency of these muffins like?Is it similar to a normal muffin?

      Low-carb cakes/muffins are more dense than regular cakes/muffins are. They won't raise up like flour-based baked goods do, but they are (when cooked right) incredibly rich and moist. Hard to give an exact texture comparison, but I'd liken it to a mix between regular cake and pound cake.

    Instead of Alluse and almond flour, does powdered sugar and oat flour work?? My market doesn’t have almond flour and allulose.

    • @RuledMe
      @RuledMe  2 місяці тому

      I don't really work with powdered sugar or oat flour since all of my recipes are keto-friendly. Using either of those would push the carb counts up to the point they would no longer be keto. I will say allulose and sugar work similarly so you should be fine subbing those if you aren't on a ketogenic diet. The oat flour, though, I am not sure about.

    Does the cooking time depend on your microwave?

    • @RuledMe
      @RuledMe  2 місяці тому

      Yes, with all mug cakes/mug bread, it will always depend on the microwave. Higher wattage will require less time. If you can't adjust wattage manually, you can adjust the power level. If the cake is dry or eggy, it's been overcooked. Unfortunately it's something you just have to experiment with to find what the best timing is for your tastes and microwave. I'd start at 45 seconds and work my way up in 15 second intervals if you aren't sure.

    What nonsense…why cheat? Why does anyone aspiring to eat correctly need muffins, cake or cookies? Cut all this rubbish out of your life and eat properly.

    • @RuledMe
      @RuledMe  2 місяці тому +9

      How is eating something sweet a "cheat"? If you truly believe in this lifestyle, then eating sweets in moderation is totally fine. If you don't need it in your life, you cut it out and don't preach to others how to follow their diet.
      I've been keto for almost 20 years now. I eat sweets occasionally. If I couldn't have sweets occasionally, keto wouldn't be something I could have turned into a long-term lifestyle change. I guarantee you it's the same with the vast majority of people who are keto long-term, too. How long have you been keto? Get off your high horse.

      @@RuledMe Of course….we all know of your vested interest; the pecuniary advantage you gain. It’s all about the money isn’t it? That’s why you’re on UA-cam.

      You don't know this, but I spent 4 years of my life diligently posting on my website before more than $100 was made. I can say that I'm extremely lucky that this has turned into a full-time job, but it's not always about money. I don't do ANY sponsored videos, my website isn't packed full of ads for crap products, and I personally reply to all comments and e-mails.
      I actually care about keto as it's tremendously helped me in my own life. It's tremendously helped my immediate family (all of whom are diabetic). It's tremendously helped countless friends. I care because the website has helped hundreds of thousands of people make a shift to a healthier lifestyle.
      Again, get off your high horse. If you don't want to eat sweets, then don't. The vast majority of people coming to keto want to have replacements for the things they like to eat. It's pathetic that your only response to that is to claim I'm only in it for the money. @@mikewingert5521

      @@RuledMeDon't sweat it. You know that people can pick and choose what to do, because they can figure this out for themselves with the correct knowledge. Mike is just virtue signaling that he is a better keto advocate and higher in the keto hierarchy. He just needs to step back and relax, people can figure this out for themselves.
