if there is completely necessary to search for direct competitor to this C4, then Renault Arkana and Mazda CX30 definitely are not the ones (Arkana much bigger, CX30 much more SUV).... in other words, there aren't many of them.... except may be Toyota C-HR! especially if we take the size/dimensions, as well as the design concept into consideration... I'm amazed that testers in general fail to notice that... :(
2nd comment podium! Its suspension, namely its independent multi link rear suspension sets it apart from its competitors. But Renault's have never sold well in Australia. And I predict that trend will continue.

Lack of dealers and poor resale will hurt it in Australia.
Closest competitor is the Arkana, but Citroen dealer network is spotty at best.
Give me a diesel version any day.
