How interesting, thanks for the enlightening video, we have a real appreciation of street art and film natural sight and sound (sometimes street art) walks in soulful cities mainly in Europe. so it's great for us to see your video's, thanks for sharing.
Borko Busboy hey when your rent goes up because of hipsters moving in and neighborhood deli stores increase prices too than you would know what us locals are talking about . Sure it was bad but it was good at the same time we all knew each other.
Bushwick is little gentrified. A couple of thousand white people have moved there, get off in living in an iffy area, but pretty well socialize with eachother in a very few hipster bars in the area. It remains a gloomy area, with windows on most residential units receiving the full metal bar treatment.
I grew up in the 50’s on Jefferson st between Wilson and Central ave I’m glad to see that its changed for the better but I still won’t go back it’s just not the same
Would you recommend a 7 day metro card for visitors? Or pay as you go? Where or on what types of transportation does the MetroCard let me travel on? Subways, city buses....?
The way he say Montrose the train stop if u from bushwick that is not the way u say it. Live there my young life until I move out I. 2005. Rode the the l train every day. Delkab was my stop.
Great piece! When we moved to Bushwick in 2001 there was nothing....Literally nothing to eat. It's changed alot but at least there are more places to eat and great Streetart!
@@EclecticBrownGirlTV no one would watch it. Yuppies only want Manhattan 2.0. Graffiti art and bars? Hipsters? Guaranteed no self respecting Bushwick resident would be caught dead taking a graffiti tour.
I did a 2 hr walk of Bushwick Dec. 16, 2017. Very gritty, many empty lots, little interesting architecture with a notable exception in the St. Nicolas Street area. At night, the area would have lot of dark places. Ridgewood, next door, is so much more a neighbourhood with beautiful row houses, no empty lots, gorgeous churches, and families.
Real Bushwick , Check out Somewhere In Bushwick !!! Written by Bushwick natives and created by Bushwick Natives. This is a comedic webseries based in Bushwick check us out !!!
Morgan av is my home town. I loved growing up there. But if u went down knickerbocker av, it was more drastic change. Was always alot of drama and drugs. People complain that's the neighborhood bushwick change . But in my opinion it's good the change. You see less garbage less rats. You feel more secure walking. I was tired of seeing so much violent and so much people not caring about the community. Gabby bakery is not the best in bushwick. You have to go to the one in knickerbocker av and myrtle av. By knickerbocker av train station. That place is always pack...
@Lucy Rodriguez, you are so right! I’m so glad that the city allocated funds along with private businesses to elevate Bushwick. I’m a Queens girl, originally from Vernon Blvd in L. I. C. I remember how hot Vernon was in the 80s and 90s, ad was Bushwick. Both L.I.C. and Bushwick have made strides. Shout out to Queens and Brooklyn!!!!!
With all due respect in the beginning of your video it's not Bushwick it's East Williamsburg. Bushwick starts from Moffat st to Johnson and from Wyckoff to Broadway ave but nice video.
U PEOPLE RUINED THE ONCE HOOD MAN😭😭💔
Yoooo i used to live in that orange building at 4:03 about 11 years ago. Damn it’s so different

I’d recommend a 7 day since you may use it 3-4 times a day. It works on subway and buses.
cool video
