Traded out of my 2021 Lexus IS 350 to get a SUV when I had my 2nd kid. Been missing my IS for a while so thinking about just getting it as 2nd car for myself but wasn’t sure if I should go for the 350 or the 500 but didn’t know aside from the V8 what else was I getting with it. This was very informative I’m not the type to go fast either so I’ll just stick with the 350 and save 15k
My take on this is if it's your daily driver, go 350. If it's a second car for weekends and evenings, go 500. Also remember that the 500 may be your last chance to buy a V8, certainly in naturally aspirated form.
If you want faster for cheaper, you can add a rr-racing supercharger kit for under $7k. But that V8 sound, and there's no replacement for displacement. Fair review, thank you.
5.0 coyote is pretty reliable and in terms of spec are on sane level. The LT is relatively reliable also compared to majority of high performance motors. The 2ur is the only reason really besides reliability why you’d get this car but. The is500 is competing against a M340i ct4 blackwing g70 3.3t and it’s not as quick as those cars. It sounds good and is reliable and looks good but that’s really it tbh and most buyers who’d be interested in this car can’t really afford it so they get a 350 negates it’s a better value and do the same things and both look good that’s why I bought mine. But the is500 is a hard sell for somebody with the money when it’s so many other cars that perform better and aren’t as outdated. The V8 and reliability help sell it
Late but something to note is the is500 is going to retain its value a lot better than the is350. It’s just that special of a combination (v8 sedan) and most likely we will not get one the next generation.
I’m so not know a lot about Lexus is but if you can compare Lexus is base and Lexus is F. I understand that F is superb Lexus model but what real deferences and maybe it doesn’t need to pay for F if cheaper version exists with no some crazy differences.
Fuck man…it is the best explanation what car you need!!!!! For sure. If you want speed go with Porsche for example the cheaper one-Cayman…but I like Lexus and I do not drive as a Speedy I just wanna car with all that options Lexus can give us and it is way better and more than Porsche can give us but for the half a Porsche price.

I like it but I liked the scat as well! I’d need to refresh my memory before I could agree or disagree with that.
Get the 500 if you can.
@@sew9068 I’m not the type that’s fully in it for speed so I mean if I was to spend 15k more I would need more cool features than just the V8
Exhaust tip design is different.
The 500 is diagonally stacked.
I'd also get the 350 just because of the AWD.
The V8 and reliability help sell it
In addition to the hood difference is the IS500 is longer in the front. Just a little though. Not much difference.
V8 because they’re disappearing.
I wish they still offered a manual
Late but something to note is the is500 is going to retain its value a lot better than the is350. It’s just that special of a combination (v8 sedan) and most likely we will not get one the next generation.
Can you tune the 350 to have more power than the 500?? And to sound as good as the v8?? I want all wheel drive but the 500 only has RWD!!
Nitrous oxide is your friend
LSD makes up for the AWD imo.
Also, there's obviously a bump on the 500 for the V8.
I’m so not know a lot about Lexus is but if you can compare Lexus is base and Lexus is F. I understand that F is superb Lexus model but what real deferences and maybe it doesn’t need to pay for F if cheaper version exists with no some crazy differences.
350 is a great choice!
there’s a blackout on the chrome around the windows for the 500
I saw that! Finally on the 2024 model. Took them long enough lol
Good luck trying to find one. There's probably less blackout packages made than is500's!
You need to look more into them. There are differences. Also how the 500 operates
The is500 clearly has that little bulge in the front to make space for the v8 lol
the 500 is hard to find the 350 is everywhere, no choice for me unless I fly to texas got alot there.
350 awd any day you’ll sell it faster than the 500
Fuck man…it is the best explanation what car you need!!!!! For sure. If you want speed go with Porsche for example the cheaper one-Cayman…but I like Lexus and I do not drive as a Speedy I just wanna car with all that options Lexus can give us and it is way better and more than Porsche can give us but for the half a Porsche price.
hy is this car so expensive anyways? should be like 30k max
Hoods are different
Lexus V8 sedan 😊is collectible . 😊
Is 500 has bulge on the hood and quad exhaust.
350 it is then.
Do you want a v8? #simple
Palestinian? Mashallah
Puerto Rican and Mexican but Palestinians are my people as much as anyone else.
My culture wouldn’t exist if it weren’t for geno*ide. They wiped my indigenous people off the face of the earth, so I could never not stand with people who it’s happening to today.
They won’t get away with it any longer though brother. People are waking up. ✊🏼
On speed the IS500 runs neck to neck with a Scatpack ua-cam.com/video/ngv5OyB_uqs/v-deo.html

free palestine! peeped the kafiyeh
Yes sir! From the river to the sea brother 🙏🏼🤝🏼🇵🇸
Not me. I’ll get the V8 all day long. Nothing more reliable than that V8
