I just want to say thank you for taking the time and trouble of showing us how you build your models. I am learning so much from you. You must spend every hour of the day working on your model. you make such rapid progress
Hi John new subscriber here. I'm currently building the Occre Beagle (my first build) following Occre's youtube guide which is very helpful for a newbie. However I'm watching this with great interest to pick up tips and tricks as it's obvious you have lot of experience. I love the fact you use a box underneath to catch all the sawdust etc. Such a simple thing, but how I wish I had thought of that. Thanks for doing this build along guide its very helpful.
Welcome aboard!!! Thank you very much for your kind words! I have done it once with the Santisima Trinidad and i thought that it would be great to continue doing it. It's hard to film video and making the model at the same time but i believe it's worth it :)
Looking good. One thing I did my self was put the deck on unglued when I set the ribs so it saved a lot of messing about checking for 90% all the time. You explain things well thank you
Wow John I'm first to comment on this video, I knew staying up late would pay off at some point. I do like the idea behind why you are putting the first deck down the way that you are -saves you from adding a bunch of weight to hold down after planking. And you are right there are a bunch of different ways to do things while modeling, hope it works out for you which I'm sure it will. Keep up the great work my friend
Thank you very much for your kind words my friend!!! I hope that some people can realize that there are a lot of ways of doing something and if i am doing it in a different way than they do it doesn't mean that is wrong. I am doing something i love and i try to show it. All i have to say is that after 19 years of wooden ship modeling i am still learning! :)
