Again, super beautiful work and a clear explanation of all the steps ! Thx, John.
Thank you very much Peter!!!
John again you make something that is a wee bit difficult look so simple. But a lot of work to get that bow to be right for planking, and you will make it look simple I am sure, you always do. Great video my friend.
Thank you very much my friend for your kind words!!! We will talk tomorrow :)
Good morning John, another beautiful video of your new ship!! Keep it up!! Να έχεις έναν καλό μήνα!
Thank you very much!!! Καλο μηνα!!!
It’s coming a long lovely John love to family and stay safe mate 🙏🐕🐕
Thank you very much George!!! You too stay safe, i'll have Wolf to say Hi!!!
Good job, John!
Thank you very much Michael!!!
John, never built a ship befor, watching these to see if i can. Would like to ask, the planks you just fitted sit frames which look to be curved BUT the planks to don follow that curve top to bottom. I would presume it is hard to curve that plank top to bottom?
The planks will be above this frame and if you notice a little closer you will see that these 2 rows are been placed in a different depth at the side of the keel :)
John -Super !
John Best !
John Super Best !
Thank you very much!!!
Hi John, I enjoy watching you build. You have a very practical style which agrees with me. Did you have anyone show you shipbuilding or are you self taught?
You are inspiring me to try a wooden ship. Nothing so fancy at first, but am am intrigued. Cheers.
Thank you very much Bob for your kind words!!! I am self taught, i was in plastic model kits when i was a kid. On 2001 i started making wooden models, i loved it as much as words can describe even though my first model was a disaster :)
Only one thing was passed to me as knowledge from an old modeler, the strips at the bow and stern have smaller width. Everything else i found out my self and i developed my technics build after build.
That’s very impressive indeed. I have modeled all of my life and never attempted a wooden ship. After stumbling onto your videos, which I have been able to follow and have enjoyed immensely, I’m going to take the plunge. Thanks for taking the extra effort to film and publish your builds, I can only imagine how that interferes with the build.
@@boblangenberg7859 I can't thank you enough for your kind words Bob!!! Indeed it is very difficult some times to film and be able to measure and cut or glue precise.
you glued shut the gun ports on the 1st deck that are at the opening in the deck, they should be open, first 3 closed then 5 open, there will be placed full cannons there.
You are correct, actually there are 4 opened not 5, now that you 've noticed that i checked with the photos. Good eye! Thank you very much. It took me about 5 minutes to correct that mistake, if i was a lot ahead it would be a problem. Thanks again! :)
@@JohnsWoodenShips it is 5 per side. Pic 31 in the manual, you can see.5 that are not covered by Wood. Pic29 covers the back strip, pic30 you cover the first3 of the front strip. That leaves 5open
@@JohnsWoodenShips i'm troubled by the build order, how are you supost to put the ropes and pullies in for the cannons if you follow the build order....
@@Hellspijker You cannot see the pictures ahead of the manual, they are 4.
@@Hellspijker Probably you won't put any ropes in the lower deck. I am not worried about that yet.
